Speedway has always had a nice variety of snacks to choose from and plenty of coffee. If they've put out fresh pizza, I walk out with a slice or two. On my last visit I bought something for a raging headache. What started me coming here was seven consecutive days in a row of my gas buddy app telling me they have the lowest prices. It is also connected to a Dunkin Donuts in case you're craving some donuts. But the very best part of magic gas station is their craft beer selection. There was a special offering $.50 off a gallon. Having never used the app, I went into the store to get assistance. The worker, "Tonio" was not helpful at all. Nobody in the store knew how to use the app or direct me to where I could get assistance. Not only that, the worker started to raise his voice at me when I was upset that I couldn't get any assistance. I finally figured it out on my own. However, to add insult to injury, I tried to reach the corporate office to complain. WHAT A FLIPPING JOKE. I waited on hold for 40 min. The recording kept telling me that there was higher than normal call volume. I finally realized that the offices were not even open. So I attempted today during normal business hours and tried several extensions, unable to reach a single person. I attempted to call 4x with no luck. During my first call, I thought I was getting answered, only to be disconnected.

They frequently won't take my debit card even though I have plenty of cash, forcing you to use a credit card. The water bucket and squeegee stations never have any water in them so you can't clean your windows which is a problem on long trips or summer time.

This particular coffee shop caught my attention because their website indicated, "Every purchase creates job opportunities for local teens and supports schools, nonprofits, and community organizations." I stopped by on a Saturday at 8 am. There were several patrons at the small tables and several people came in after me. It looks like they are popular among locals. I had the iced latte with house-made lavender syrup. I told the waitstaff that I prefer less sweet and she asked if they should lessen the amount of lavender syrup. I declined but I probably should've taken her suggestion because the drink was a teeny bit too sweet for me. But otherwise, the coffee was strong and it kept me running for hours!
