Disgusting in here. Middle of winter and there's tons of flies/gnats all over the place. Receipts for gas rarely work.

A good enough place to come to stock a house bar, and the guy behind the counter (I assume he owns it, since he's been there every time I have) never even looks twice when I get my 2 40's of Mickeys. Gotta love it. There's something about malt liquor.....

The new owners don't even say hello when you walk in, or worse, when you walk up to the register. No social graces at all - they just say the price you owe, IF you're lucky enough to get eye contact. One of the owners just stares at his cell phone WHILE ringing you up. I don't think these people understand common courtesies found in the USA. Instead, they make you one feel like an inconvenience to them... which is ironic as this is a "convenience:store". Their selection of wines are down right AWFUL and overpriced. The Walgreen's a couple of blocks west have a better selection of liquor, better prices, and you are ALWAYS greeted with a "Hi, welcome to Walgreen's", making you feel like they value your business. I've been going to Day N' Night since 1991 - but no more. Not with the bad attitudes and complete d lack of appreciation shown by these new rude owners. THEY DON'T EVEN SAY "THANK YOU" AFTER A PURCHASE! (But that one owner won't take his eyes off his cell phone, so maybe he doesn't even realize you are there!) Remember - Go to the FRIENDLY Walgreen's only 2 blocks west for a much better deal... and a warm welcome!!! After 30 years of patronage*, (*translation for new owners - SPENDING MONEY THERE SEVERAL TIMES A WEEK!) I will not go back there - ever.

To be rude, snarky and disgusting in the morning because you all failed to order the correct quantity and follow up on any additional quantities that were needing to be ordered is not the fault of the patient. Your job is to order the drugs as needed Ensure that you have enough to fill your orders and update the system so that way your patient can receive them. That is not what is happening that is not acceptable. No one should have to wait 2+ weeks to receive medication. If there was an issue with the manufacturers distribution, some form of communication should've been relate to the patient or you all should've been working with. Your local network of stores to obtain the additional quantities needed to fill these orders. Especially for a restrictive drug. To be so disregarding of the patient's need for their medication and the length of time waiting for medication is just disgusting. If Sophia cannot provide the level of service that is expected from a Walgreens associate then maybe she should not be one.

PAINKILLER OTC This…read moreWalgreens is likely to exacerbate the headache you (probably) already have. My wife chose this drugstore as our primary pharmacy, mainly because it's convenient for us on Lily Cache in Bolingbrook (as a bonus, there's a Buona Beef directly across Weber Rd, so I usually dip in for a sandwich after picking up her prescription). I'd estimate one of us stops here every 3 weeks, so we're fairly frequent flyers. We recently encountered an issue where they processed my wife's prescription incorrectly. Instead of giving her 90 pills for 30 days (@3/day), they gave her 30 pills total believing it to be 1/day. I have to think there are instructions clearly printed on the label--because y'know, MEDICINE--so someone working here wasn't paying attention. After bouncing back and forth with phonecalls, one woman eventually apologized for the oversight of a coworker and vowed to fix it, which they did. Over the last few months my wife's made some friends over in pharmacy pickup, and they've been kind to her and helpful for the most part (excluding the one lady who bungled the 'scrip). I, on the other hand, am given a chilly reception any time I walk in. The associates at checkout barely engage in eye contact or return pleasant small talk, hardly ever doling out a 'thanks' or 'have a nice day'. On the last trip, the guy bagged my snacks and rang me up without saying a word. I might as well be a leper. * TL;DR * Pickup ya meds, grab a snack, and bounce. There's not much else here worth lingering for. It's a shame this Walgreens doesn't have a liquor aisle (wah wah), since a wall fridge with cold beer would've definitely bumped them up a star, at least. The customer service has been generally poor across 5-10 visits; messing up an important prescription for medication seals their lamentable fate.

Before that we had been walking around the store for a bit, we discovered that most of the products on the dairy shelf were all products from a different organization. The barcode of the goods were covered with a price tag. The man was also trying to take advantage of minors (me and my friend) by trying to scam us into buying more items. Overall, this was a bad experience. I would not come back here again.

It's also a great stop for that last minute lottery ticket. The convenient thing about the lottery tickets here, if your looking for a scratch off ticket they are conveniently located where you can easily see them and have numbers too so a scratch off can be ordered according to a number. I walked in for a winning lottery ticket but in hindsight I wasn't provided a winning ticket. The name sums us this mart perfectly, maybe next time I'll be provided a winning lottery ticket, worth millions.

Don't cry for me, Argentina. This is basically my dream evening. Alone doesn't mean lonely for this little lady. I've got my opinions to keep me warm. Hashtag Favorite Valentines. After sitting in mind-numbing traffic for a 3-hour drive from the north shore, I started to get the 4th meal hunger pangs, but was dreading the thought of going out to eat on Valentine's Day and having to look at people who weren't stars of the show 'Oz', my current obsession, if yo haven't figured that out already. I decided to utilize the #3 speed dial on my phone and put in a take-out order at Downers Grove's Thai Cafe... only everyone else in the area had those same plans so instead of my order taking the typical 15 minutes, it was going to take 35. My plan was to wait it out in the strip mall parking lot and go in when could see my order come up through the window so I would have to talk to as few people as possible, but then I saw Downtown Food Mart just a storefront away in the same strip, and decided I'd spend my time in the rather dicey looking convenience mart in hopes of them having Takis, my favorite snack/breakfast, lunch, dinner food. I go in, and think, 'erm, this place is kinda set up like a crap hole.' Empty displays, weird non-stacking of 89 cent cat food cans that for whatever reason made my blood boil, and no Takis in the snack and chip aisle. What the hell? This place is NOT for anyone with a hint of OCD. I still had a good 15 minutes before my bulk Thai food order would be ready, so I decided to continue to peruse every aisle, and the more I looked, the more I liked. They had a pretty good selection of wine. It's over-priced, obvi, but pretty much all the wines are discount wines anyone so still nothing that'll break your bank. I was super pissed about the non-presence of Takis until I got to the marquee, front and center stand by the register that was chock full of Takis. Like, 4 different kinds, and all were super cheap at $1.39, compared to the $2.49 I'd pay at other grocery stores. Bada bing! I'm checking out and the guy behind the counter doesn't mention anything about the stupid non-holiday that's occurring, which I greatly appreciate, and instead asks if I like spicy stuff. Well, heck yes! I live for spicy! And then he proceeds to give me his spicy food recommendations and we swap ghost pepper stories for the next 5 minutes and part by exchanging names. His name is Raj. Raj is awesome. I will be back to purchase more Takis (possibly also overpriced wine and cat food if the hour is right) from Raj.
