I learned about Speedloss through a Groupon deal and decided to check it out. The company boasts that with their 2 day food plan customers will lose "up to 12 pounds." Additionally, they are careful to note that individual results will vary, which made me somewhat skeptical. As someone in their late 20s who remains fairly active and who has never tried one of these diets before, I figured I would give it a try. Full disclosure: I am in decent shape, work out probably an hour or more a day, 5 days a week, but feel I could afford to lose a few pounds. Although not expecting to lose the "up to 12 pounds" as advertised, I at least expected to lose somewhere in the 4-8 pound range and get down to my high school weight. When my Speedloss arrived, I was somewhat disappointed with the servings and amount of actual food that was included, given how expensive the product was. For two days I followed the directions exactly and although the program recommended 40-70 minutes of cardio, I did 80 minutes on both days. Most of the food was tasteless, and some of it bordered on gross (although the juice and smoothie was decent). It called for you to drink a lot of water, and I essentially starved myself for two days. In the end, for all of that pain and the expensive price tag, I lost 2 pounds. When I shared my disappointment with customer service, they were responsive, but again reiterated that results may vary and that people do not always follow the program and then wonder why it does not work. Additionally, they noted that this might be the start to a more long-term and sustainable weight loss. I am not buying it. The advertising is misleading, food offered is sub-par at best, and price is way too expensive for what you ultimately get- lots of pain, for little gain. You are better off saving your money, cutting a few calories, drinking a little more water, and ramping up the cardio. I have had more success in 2 days doing this than following this product's guidelines. read more

I also bought this through Living Social. $90 wasted! The food is nothing. I was starving and the 2nd day when it tells you to just drink the juice from 12p- bedtime...are you joking?!?!?! If I did that with Cranberry Juice I would lose weight as well. I am very active- kickboxing and bootcamp are my exercise routines and I almost passed out in kickboxing. I am not out of shape by any means but am about to go on a cruise so I thought this may be a great way to drop a couple of unwanted pounds. To my surprise- I did lose 5lbs in 2 days. However, like I said- I could lose that by starving myself and exercising without spending $90. I really was not a fan. My lady had been in my ear about wanting to find a quick fix dieting program (which is what I call all of these things) I found the My speedloss program on groupon which seemed to be a solid value for the price. I expected it to be protein shakes, vitamins, dried fruits, etc. It took a while to receive the program (as does everything on groupon) but once we finally received it, everything was as described. I am not going to lie my lady is pretty picky when it comes to things she eats so obviously she didn't enjoy every single "meal" but credit to her she did stick to the program (all 2 days of it lol). I won't drag this review out any further then necessary. Long story, short she lost 4 lbs. in the cleanse and came away satisfied. So like many of you, I bought this through a Groupon, or a Living Social deal or something. The greatest appeal to me was that there was a vegetarian option. Lots of those cleanses involve animal biproducts. Not forgoing 12 successful years of vegetarianism... especially while NOT eating... So it arrived after quite some time... but it arrived which based on other peoples reviews seems like a blessing. Not only that, but it arrived in its entirety. I then waited until i had 2 down-days in a row when i could do this and not effect other people. Well about a year and a half went by... and i kinda got sick of looking at the box... so i bailed on some plans on day 2, and decided it was time to get serious. I've been working out, and entering food into a calorie tracker for a few months now... and i feel that I've sort of plateaued... so I was hoping the quick results would jumpstart my give-a-shit. The most difficult part of this cleanse is figuring it out! There are a ton of little packets that tell you how to prepare them, and then there's this juice that looks like /tastes like /ingredients mirror Juicy Juice. It says to drink 32 ounces of juice per day... then on day 2 it says to drink the juice from 12n-7p- 8 ounces every 4 hours... if you do the math... you end up questioning your skills at math... and then questioning theirs... bottom line- there is no sheet that spells everything out clearly. You find yourself toggling between packets, the label of the juice (in the fridge) and this booklet they gave you full of testimonials and poor 'schedule' that doesn't have any instructions on it. Once I got up and running, I got the 'system' but it sure would have been awesome if i only had to look at 1 thing. So I followed the instructions on day 1, and was feeling ok. Day 2 however had way less packets, and less IN the packs, so by the end of day 2, i was weak and pretty hungry, but i committed so i followed through. General sentiments include- if you're going to feed me stuff, don't mock me with snarky 'walk that red carpet' stuff on the packets. It made me feel like this cleanse was a joke every step of the way, and most points i wasn't in the mood for their humor. Why don't they focus on telling me what I'm eating? Oh, because its essentially a montage of a bunch of other diet programs. I noticed emergen-c, juicy juice, medifast soups, etc. IF they want to pull them all together and call them a cleanse, at least be transparent about it. This whole thing felt like a scam which isn't what you want to be thinking while you're dreaming of hoagies. In the end, i lost 5 pounds in 2 days which is pretty cool in my book. The flip side is i ate a total of 1507 calories total over the course of 2 days, and exercised 973 total calories of that away by way of running, weight training and yoga. I could have gone on any kind of diet where you eat less and do more, and likely have similar results. This cleanse didn't 'clear me out' the way i expected. I spent no more time on the commode than normal... I feel like the packets just distract you and make you feel like they're adding value to the equation. I began to question the safe-ness of this. I had no headaches, i wasn't cranky, i was just really really hungry. So if you're like me and need the box to make a mental commitment to reset your system, then its worth whatever it costs. If you have the willpower to just eat less and do more, then this product is unnecessary. It was more of a mind-game than a good cleanse... but i wouldn't say it was worthless. read more

Get ready....another poor review to follow. As if, right? I ordered the voucher thru Living Social April 7th, 2014. Placed my order the same day. I have nothing but empty promises from Speedloss AND Living Social. Both continue to state that the order is on its way but neither can provide any sort of tracking number. You cannot get thru (to Speedloss) with the phone number listed and emails are only answered thru an automated "canned" email. The delivery was promised over 2 weeks ago and it is July 10th. I'm still waiting and I am still trying to get some real answers as to what the flip is really going on. I will longer support Living Social and I am on my way to reporting this with the BBB. My husband ordered 2 "Jumpstart Speedloss" kits through Living Social for us to Jumpstart our diet together. We ordered the kits mid January, they did not arrive until mid March. When we opened the kits they seemed sparse. We reviewed the information and instructions that came with the kits and discovered that the kits were both missing half of the items that were supposed to be included. I have sent 3 emails and left 2 phone messages over the course of over a week but have not had any response from the company. The phone number that the Jumpstart Speedloss web site has listed is a message only phone number, there is not a way to speak to a customer service rep. I'm not even sure at this point that anybody even listens to the messages left on that line. read more

I also ordered this product through Living Social. Customer service is PATHETIC!! I ordered two 2 day supplies. It took almost 3 months to receive the product and even then I only received one half of the order. I followed up several times and was repeated told that it would be arriving soon. Then after receiving half of my order, I followed up again. As a previous Body by Todd customer, I was targeted through email to purchase this "speedloss" product, with a new packaging, stating that it will change the way your body stores fat because of how your hormones communicate about using the fat from your food. Supposedly, it was not going to leave me sitting on the toilet, and it was supposed to help me lose 10 lbs due to the reprogramming of my hormone system to not store fat in my belly, which is a problem for many women and men out there, the way out thyroid and adrenals speak to each other and how our bodies use the foods we feed it. I have already been eating clean and gluten free, dairy free and gmo free, as well as much as I possibly could be free of additives and natural flavors, eating organic proteins purchased at Earthfare, already spending lots of money to eat this way. Unfortunately, my body hadn't been responding and I thought this might be the kick start my body needed. Being a previous customer, I have trusted their brand and their products, but this time, I need to say something. None of what they say about this is true - I have been sitting on the toilet for the last 10 days of 7 day program. I haven't lost an inch or a pound, and I've been following their instructions to the tee....One of the foods they give you is a type of oatmeal, and the other things are whey protein and a cleansing drink that taste like Koolaid...my question is - is this stuff clean? Perhaps if you have ALOT of weight to lose, it may provide some incentive. I had about 12 lbs. to lose, am very active, and really lost nothing. The supplements appear to simply be the average daily vitamins you can buy at any one stop shopping center or health food store. The Chocolate Shake was good, the others I would rate below average. The value is not here in this product. It even appears this item has been "re"packaged from other products. I've done other "cleanses" for $20 or less, with better results... Just had a baby and wanted to lose the leftover pounds. This seemed amazing from the advertising and got it much cheaper than reg price thru groupon but very disappointing results. Tried to stick to the directions as much as possible. It says u can add some fruit or veggies so u don't completely starve and I did. But when u order the food it says it will take up to 21 days to have it prepared...I was expecting fresh foods that were prepared just for me...all I got was powders, pills and a half gallon of juice (grape blueberry and pomegranate juice concentrate) for my$100 which goes for over $200 regular price. Not worth it! I paid $90 and would have had the same effect spending $10 on fruits, oat meal, and juice. It is a rip off! I followed the program exactly how recommended and lost 4 lbs. Anyone can lose 4 pounds in 2 days by starvation. I could have had the same result by drinking one fruit shake, eating one serving of oat meal, taking some pills to suppress appetite, and drinking lots of water and juice. I did the 2-day speedloss detox to get ready for my wedding & honeymoon & was VERY happy with the results!! I am an avid exerciser and have done other detox programs before that were just pills & made me go to the bathroom all day & I've also done several juice only detoxes that were hard to get motivated to do & stick to. I only had about 7 more lbs that I wanted to lose 2 weeks before my wedding & I lost a total of 8 lbs on the speedloss!!! So I was very happy with my results but I did workout a lot on those 2 days like the instructions said and I have been working out about 5 times per week getting ready for my wedding anyway so I definitely think that that helped!! I was really nervous about getting to my goal weight so my dress would not be too tight around my stomach & torso. The best part about the speedloss is that I was barely hungry when I was doing it & for days afterwards which really shrunk my stomach & made my abs feel super tight & flat. Make sure that you PLAN AHEAD when ordering your speedloss because it DOES take a while to get your product!! I ordered mine weeks ahead of time & got it about 1 week before I planned to do it. ALSO make sure you have a good blender to make the protein shakes in that are in the speedloss. I do but my maid of honor / best friend didn't have one so she had to come over & borrow mine - we did ours at the same time. As many others have done, I discovered Speedloss through Groupon. And, yes it is crap. You will not lose the weight but like everyone else, I figured I'd give it a shot. The only thing I liked was the shakes so I decided I would order more of them. I was prepared to deal with their shipping "methods", if you want to call it that. Every-single-time you order *anything* from this company you will be waiting. Forever. A normal ecommerce/mail order company they are not. Yea, Amazon's reign is safe. It doesn't matter if it's the 2 day plan or a couple of packs of their shakes. You will wait. Up until now I dealt with it. I ordered 2 shakes on 10/27, today it is 12/16. You do the math. I sent an email on 12/2 asking where my order was. I was told they would get back to me. They didn't. I sent another on Dec 11 asking for a refund. They are real quick about taking that money from your account! Well, I guess they should do something promptly, right? No response. I sent another email on December 14th.
