And they checked off all of my necessities and wants. The machines were mold free, the facility was bug and roach free, the dryers worked and didn't eat a whole in my pockets to get my garments dry. That savings alone puts this place at high value to me. Although there's a dryer and washer I have my eye on that I wouldn't use again but that's typical washer soap opera stuff. Bonus: they don't have that rule where you can't do this or that like you can't just dry only or you can't wash pillows etc. As long as you're not damaging the machine and overloading it you're good to go And the staff although they are serious looking in the face, they are kind and willing to assist if asked & they will try to answer your request. All my needs met in one location.

The attendants are friendly and knowledgeable. See Ms. Patricia if you need help with anything. She's an angel. The building is safe and secure. I was able to unload and reload my clothes with out any foolishness. Cons: when you ask how much is the wash/dry/fold service they tell you $1.25/lb of clothes. However they don't tell you it's a 10 lb minimum charge even if the clothes aren't 10 lbs. They also charge you around $5 per load for water. Which brings the total to around $2.00/lb. Why not just charge $2/lb? OR have it posted in writing in the facility OR make sure the attendants communicate the service charges when customers inquire about the prices? I've used this service on and off since 2013. When I was still living in an apt and didn't have my washer/dryer connections yet and just recently when my washing machine bit the dust at my house. I was informed that the washateria was under new ownership because previous trips did not have all the extra service charges. I've been coming here long enough that I've watched the price for wash/dry fold go from $0.75/lb to now $1.25/lb. Obviously I'll be back but man did this most recent visit put a sour taste in my mouth.

I don't understand this type of regulation and whose idea it was. I clarify that I come here to wash and dry my clothes and the only one I come to dry is my baby's, they should take this into account that I imagine that it has not only happened to me and as it bothers me I suppose many people too, The person who took me out of the laundry is the lady who speaks Spanish and English. There are nice laundry carts available for use. And if you forgot your detergent - no worries, there are several options available for purchase. Upon my first visit, some of the machines were having issues, but the employee on shift gladly helped me get a different machine started and paid for the new wash cycle. The forty lb washer is $6.50 per load, but I am able to get 1-2 weeks worth of laundry washed all at once. Additionally, the dryer price ranges from 25 cents to $1 per ten minutes (depending on the size of the dryer) but I am able to get that large load of clothes dried in thirty minutes! Which is much faster than the dryers I am used to using in my undergraduate dorm (lol). Give this laundromat your business if you are located in the ninth ward/Arabi/Chalmette area!! I highly recommend.
