Local service options are limited as Stinson Beach has no gas station, but Neil and the Live Water team jumped to our aid with a myriad of tools and helpful assistance. But don't you visit the town without stepping in here. Sure they sell new clothes, swim gear, sunglasses, sandals, surfboards, etc... surf gear. But I'm focused on the rental gear. Daily or weekly rentals of wetsuits $18 daily, surfboards $35-50, SUPs $50, and boogie boards $15. The wetsuits come in various adult and children sizes. The shop itself is bright, and clean. Even though the building is not new, it has a newish coastal beach vibe. Very well maintained. The merchandise is nicely staged and displayed. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The shop is within walking distance from the beach.

They accommodated my special diet (the food was delicious!) and facilitated a relaxed environment that allowed the group to connect while immersing in Bolinas, which is such a magical part of the coast. Kyla and Lilja are genuine, lovely people who are easy to talk to, experienced, and are clearly passionate about surfing and bringing people together to create memorable, impactful experiences. My sister was visiting from Alaska and I wanted her to experience a great California adventure so I…read morebooked a group surf lesson from 2 Mile Surf Shop for her, my husband, and myself. From the time we showed up the staff was super friendly and helpful. They helped us get into our wet suits and did a quick safety briefing. Our instructor was friendly and really encouraging of everybody. We had a blast during the group lesson. I'm impressed that the instructor was able to keep track of all of us. He did a great job of coaching those who were less experienced and helping them get up on their boards. All in all, we had a wonderful time and will definitely bring more people back here for lessons.

And after a successful family surf lesson in Hawaii we were ready to take on the Northern California waters! Our 9 year old loved surf camp! And we couldn't complain, they spent all day in the water Monday - Thursday and we got to explore this little beach town I love and one day we signed up to take a lesson with them too! They have all the gear you need available to purchase / rent, new and used. Can't wait to come back and catch more waves! And I'm pretty sure we'll be back for surf camp next summer, too!
