There are well maintained public restrooms. Parking does get crowded past noon on a weekend. Weather in May is perfect, warm enough for swim wear, shorts and tank however not scorching hot. Super pet and little children friendly. There are also lots of markets, eateries to pack some savory food to go for a picnic on the beach.

It was a truly special experience I would recommend to any beginner or intermediate surfer. Kyla and Lilja were thoughtful, gracious hosts who made me feel at home right away. They accommodated my special diet (the food was delicious!) and facilitated a relaxed environment that allowed the group to connect while immersing in Bolinas, which is such a magical part of the coast. Kyla and Lilja are genuine, lovely people who are easy to talk to, experienced, and are clearly passionate about surfing and bringing people together to create memorable, impactful experiences. I can't wait for my next women's retreat!

This review is for the camps that they run in the summer. My kids have down the week long camps…read moreboth in 2021 and this year and absolutely love the time they have spent with PCSL. The camp is from Monday to Thursday and is held in Bolinas. Kids are grouped based on age and have different color rash guards and hats to keep them together. Full wetsuits and boards are provided but if you have them you can bring your own. The kids get to not only learn about surfing, how to read the waves and the tide charts but to experience the joys of surfing. The groups are small, 4-5 kids per surfer and another CIT. I feel like they are totally safe in and out of the water. They break for snack and lunch and games to break up the day. It's a great way for kids to be introduced to surfing and have a blast in and out of the water. What a great thing this is to have in our area. Last week when the kids were there we had schools of Sardines that came and surfed with them. My son said he was surfing and looked down and all he could see were fish swimming along with him, that's an incredible ride and the connection he felt with the ocean was like nothing he had experienced before. From the time we showed up the staff was super friendly and helpful. They helped us get into our wet suits and did a quick safety briefing. Our instructor was friendly and really encouraging of everybody. We had a blast during the group lesson. I'm impressed that the instructor was able to keep track of all of us. He did a great job of coaching those who were less experienced and helping them get up on their boards. All in all, we had a wonderful time and will definitely bring more people back here for lessons.

And after a successful family surf lesson in Hawaii we were ready to take on the Northern California waters! Our 9 year old loved surf camp! And we couldn't complain, they spent all day in the water Monday - Thursday and we got to explore this little beach town I love and one day we signed up to take a lesson with them too! They have all the gear you need available to purchase / rent, new and used. Can't wait to come back and catch more waves! And I'm pretty sure we'll be back for surf camp next summer, too!
