I just sold my house this month, but had rented it out for 3+ years. The house is in Waterville, I live in Biddeford, so being a landlord would have been a nightmare. Spectrum Property Management were excellent partners! For three years we had tenants in the home and Spectrum handled everything, and promptly communicated to us any issues or concerns. They took extra care with our tenants, who spoke limited English, to ensure everyone was on the same page. Once the house was vacant, we kept the on to do "wellness checks" of the property while it was being shown by our real estate, to ensure that if anything did happen, it could be addressed. Do not rent from Norman Martitz. I lived on 11 Elm Street in Fairfield for a year and after I moved out, he didn't provide me with any of my security deposit. When I attempted to contact him multiple times, he was unresponsive. I never received a list of what my security was spent on, nor did I receive any of my security deposit back. If there was a way to leave no stars I would. This is the most unprofessional, underhanded, shady rental company I have ever had to deal with. They treat there tenants badly, do not fix issues and take their sweet time responding to anything. Their properties are dirty and poorly maintained. I broke the "rule" and bought rental property more than an hour away. This property management company is the worst that we have ever used. Our home had over $4200 worth of damage that Jayne and Cathy never reported. As landlords, they told tenents she would get the rent lowered and then asked us to lower rent with the threat that Tenents would leave. We asked if they would reduce their monthly fee since they are lowering rent and she said no. Money hungry, unprofessional, doesn't care about your home and horrible property managers.
