This company is incredible! They came recommended from my favorite girl, Sarah from the Sherwin…read moreWilliams in Firestone! I was in desperate need of a professional to fix the last painters crappie unfinished job. I hired some rando off craigslist, like a dumb for a job that should have taken a few days. After six weeks of 2 hour work days, personal problem after personal problem, then unreturned calls and texts, I was left with an ugly half finished house! There were areas that needed to be repainted, touched up or painted entirely. I finally called in the professionals! Thank God for Tracey! He fit me in for a quote an hour after I called. His guys showed up the next morning! His guys... WOW! They did a phenomenal job! Everything they touched looked perfect! And there was a lot to do!!! I was painting my deck and one of the guys gave me a smaller roller brush and some pointers on how I can do it faster and it looked so much better! They didn't leave trash behind and walked the house with me and asked if there was anything else they missed. They also told me my baby was cute. So yeah... phenomenal group of guys!

We contracted with Five Star Painting to paint/stain the outside soffits, fascia, eves, columns,…read moredeck, posts, and gables on our home in October, 2018. Work began in early November, and we immediately realized that Five Star had retained an independent contractor to complete the work. Not a problem for us as long as the work was completed professionally, but may be why our experience was not like other folks who have also used this painting contractor. From the first day, we began seeing issues as the painter started staining the soffits prior to cleaning any of the dirt, debris, cob webs before painting. We stopped the painter, and immediately reached out to Five Star's superintendent, who came over that afternoon, and promised that the work completed would be corrected. Within the next day or two, the painter was back with a pressure washer and began washing the soffits and fascia. That same afternoon, we noticed that the painter did not finish washing the debris from the soffits down the walls below, which is comprised of white stucco. This caused staining in the white stucco walls below the soffits on the entire second floor of the home, and all over the front of the north garage on two sides. We again immediately called Five Star's superintendent who came by a few hours later. We also tried pressure washing the stains ourselves at the same time, and were unable to get the stains out of the Stucco We also tried scrubbing with soap and using methods suggested online...nothing worked. Next we met with our stucco contractor, and were informed that the stains, since they were not washed down completely at the time the painter was cleaning the soffits...were likely permanent, and would not come out. After this second mishap, we spoke to Five Star's superintendent, and the owner, and were able to get comfortable that they would work with us to remedy the issues. We allowed work to continue. A few days later...as they were not able to work due to inclement weather, the painter returned while we were away for the day. The next morning, we walked the house and noticed that black stain was spilled all over the concrete around the home, drips of black stain were all over the white stucco, overspray was misted on the Stucco, stain was on our clad doors, dripped on the new stone that had just been installed, and things were a complete mess. The painter had literally gotten the black stain everywhere, and in a few spots had tried to cover it up with white paint. We promptly called Five Star's superintendent, and demanded a meeting at the house. He came by a few hours later, and we walked through the entire outside of the home. He said they would get it cleaned up, but at this point, after the two prior mishaps...we had enough. We Fired Five Star on November 13th, and said that we could not allow them to continue working with fear that more damage would be done. That same time we called Five Star's Owner, and left a voicemail to discuss the situation. He returned our phone call the next day. The owner insisted that we allow him to continue, and that all mishaps would be corrected. We, in turn advised that completing the job at this point was not an option, and communicated that his company had already caused significant damage to the stone and stucco due to their negligence, and painter not taking the time to mask off areas where he was working. We further advised Five Star that we could not risk further damage to our property. We have been working to try and remedy the situation with Five Star painting for the past couple of months, and initially agreed to settle the dispute, if Five Star would return our down payment. To date, we have not heard from Five Star's owner, and are now unfortunately having to escalate the matter further for resolution. Attached are some photos of the issues mentioned in this review.
