This time Nichelle came out and took everything and copied it. I am homeless in Plymouth and 100 percent disabled and I need a place to go. So Nichelle two days after my application was turned in Nichelle called me and said that she was refusing my application for whatever reason. I want to know if the housing board knows about this, how about the Mayor or the City council of Westland. Well I am going to make sure the City knows about this and how I was treated. Westland is a really nice slice of the 70s if you like with a mall that has plenty of good stuff but almost nobody goes here so the inside is falling into disrepair while the outside has just been redone into a nice facade and I like coming here for food but if you want more state-of-the-art modern areas then you definitely should go up to the more North suburbs rather than the West ones which kind of remind me of the southtowns of Buffalo and that they are the land That Time Forgot and that is the end of my run on sentence for the day.

Much of the food is donated by local stores or restaurants. They get a ton of stuff into their warehouse. They always go through the daily protocol in the big conference room. You are to wear gloves and a hair cover and beard cover for those with facial hairs. Now you can add a face mask to the attire too. You start the event work around 9am and work until 11am to noon. The warehouse job is the hardest. I have sorted through some rough looking potatoes, to water logged and decrepit looking cucumbers and tomatoes. It makes you really appreciate the foods we can easily pick through at the grocery store to get the most appealing ones. Any sign of mold gets tossed. This is the hardest of the jobs, but also the most rewarding since it's labor intensive too. I have also had the pleasure of assembling sandwiches in the kitchen too, with wheat squares of bread, some meat like slices of pork meat of some sort and cheese too. Volunteering your time and energy is greatly rewarding and so helpful to those in need. This is a great center that gives back ro the community. At the end of your day, they will brief you on how many bags or boxes of food were boxed that day. It's the only day big the original big 3 OEMs groups can collaborate and work together side by side without any intellectual property issues too.

This is a horrible location. I have been going to this location for many years but won't be…read morereturning since the last two visits left me feeling very shocked. One of the young guys at the donation dock, and the store "manager" were horrible to deal with. The last visit I was dropping off donations. At some point during or right after Covid, they put out a sign by the donation dock that says to stay in your car. I thought this was a Covid - don't spread your germs, thing. (So when I gather up my donations around the house, I collect items for Salvation Army, and other items for a woman's shelter. so usually I have two sets of donations. Also I may have items in my trunk cuz they live in my trunk, such as a large basket I use for produce when I go to the grocery store.) So I stepped out to make sure the employee grabbed the right box. An older gentleman told me that a young guy would be out to meet me, so I didn't need to lift the box. Then he disappeared inside. The young guy came out and told me I have to stay in my car. I explained that I needed to make sure he grabbed the right box since I had other stuff there. Then he got snotty and asked me if I could read the sign. So I said again, that I was just making sure he got the right box cuz I didn't want him to take the other stuff. So he said super annoyed, "You can see the sign, right?" (What? Seriously bro? Do they think people who are donating are going to steal from the clothing bin outside the dock?) I said, well if you're not going to allow me to make sure you don't take the wrong boxes then I guess I'll have to make my donations elsewhere. And his response was "yea, do that. Don't donate here if you can't stay in your car." So that is what I will do. There's a Good Will at Ford and Telegraph which is closer to my house so I will do that from now on. The second to last time I made a donation here, I went in to shop. I bought a dining table and 4 chairs they had for sale. I paid for the item and returned later with a friend to help me load it. An employee got us a big flat bed type cart to load it, but it looked big to fit thru the front door so I asked if we cud got thru the back which was right there, to the dock, which was another 20 feet and out the back. She said she would ask and disappeared in the back. She came out and said yes you can go out the back. So we loaded it all on the cart and we were bringing it thru the back, just like the employee said we could. Suddenly a really tall guy starts yelling at us "What are you doing back here! You can't be back here!" We explained that we were told we could go out the back since the table was so wide and it wouldn't fit out the front door. He kept yelling "Who said you could! I am the manager! You cannot be back here! I am the manager! I didn't give you permission!" I seriously wanted to reassure him that "HE IS THE MANAGER AND THE WHITE LADY WASN'T USURPING HIS AUTHORITY. ITS ONLY BECAUSE ITS A BIG ITEM AND IT CANT FIT THRU THE FRONT DOOR. ITS NOT THAT DEEP!" So we had to go back into the store and disassemble the entire table, and bring it out the front door in grocery carts. Maybe this place gets robbed a lot or something? Ugggggg Just never mind. Not going back here again.

The Medical Examiner had a list of his personal belongings which included an Apple iwatch and a diamond and gold wedding band, The representative from the funeral home signed for his belongings. When his belongings were returned to us the wedding band and watch were missing. We have tried for two months to find the wedding band and have no resolution to this problem. A Police report has been filed. I do not know if anyone else has had this problem, but just be cautious with your loved one and their belongings.
