It's been a long time since I've been here and they've done a lot of renovations overall. Huge bar and restaurant right when you walk in, and there's a space dedicated to just arcade games which was totally new. They also have a bar inside closer to the lanes. We ordered 2 sprites and it was ~$12 which I thought was a bit steep although their cups were on the larger side. It was about $60 for the 4 of us the first night to do 1 hour bowling with shoes. The 2nd night we opted for the unlimited and they offered us to go in the back "VIP" room that's more secluded and darker. We also have our own seating area and a server would come to us which was really nice. The food was kind of what you expected, the pizza puffs or whatever they called it was very greasy and felt undercooked and not crispy. We could not eat them, the server was very nice and offered us something else. We got some chicken wings and others got the pizza and soda/beer combo. We didn't have any issues with our lanes or pins resetting which is nice bc sometimes with older places it can be an issue. We had a fun time overall! read more

On November 15th, myself and my partner that perform plain clothes security, were met with an extreme amount of hostility and disrespect from a transfer manager, Abbie. She was very rude to us and demanded to know who we were. We then went to the back office and used our door code that was given to us by prior management to get our two-way radios for the evening. While in the office speaking with another manager Abbie came in and demanded to know why we were back there. After her constant disrespect I stated "because we can be". Apparently she did not like my tone and barked back at me. I am not one to tolerate a shitty attitude I told her to "check her attitude" It seemed she had never been spoken to in such a manner but it deserved to be said. I then left the office because I may say more to this tyrant. I was advised by a few other employees that she was transferred due to a "Hitler Like" attitude at her prior position with both employees and guests. I was advised NOT to get on her bad side because she would have me removed. Two weeks later that is exactly what happened. Funny how my supervisor/partner never said a thing in my defense even though he was standing right there when this incident happened, and neither did the owner of our company, who was advised of the situation that same night. So much for loyalty. I am shocked the corporation would allow an employee of this nature to still have a position while treating employees AND younger guests like they were trash and beneath her. BEWARE of Abbie's wrath or YOU could be the next target. Do yourself a favor and if she is on duty tread lightly and don't poke the bear. read more

Since new owners took over things have gone downhill. Scores for league have been lost, today they forgot our league was even supposed to be there. Since our lanes were being used for open bowling, we asked to use the VIP area. Worker said that leagues normally don't like that area. We said we would try it anyway. Total mistake. Computer and ally pin machines broke down constantly. Would not recommend VIP area to anyone as it definitely wasn't VIP. I felt sorry for staff that had to deal with angry bowlers. Unfortunately, it appeared that the bowling ally could make more money from open bowling as it was packed. Glad our league is over for the year. Maybe it will be better next year. read more

We've gone to this location for years but unfortunately today I was treated to incredibly rude behavior by Noah. (Blonde curly haired guy) while simply trying to ask if there were lanes available. We have bowled there for years and put up with the ball return not sending your ball back and alot of pin problems and just many problems on the lanes. But last Thursday on our normal bowling day and time we were told once we arrived that we couldn't finish out our season cuz a school rented all the lanes for the morning. The week before they announced our last day of bowling for the season was next week so we all showed up that day ( which was the day they told us we couldn't bowl ). The management there just doesn't care about fairness or commitment or loyalty, just the bottom dollar. It's a subpar bowling center and the management makes it worse !! read more

Me and my family always enjoy coming here. We always have fun and my little cousins and sibling love the arcade. The lanes are nice and it never gets too busy. But the past couple times we've have trouble with our lanes. We just go there to have fun and spend time with family and it's really frustrating when your lane doesn't work. And on top of that, the service will take a while to fix it. This is a nice place, but there's always a chance your lane might stop working. I would give them a 5 star if it wasn't for that little tweak. But overall, it's a very nice place to bowl at, and I do recommend it if you're looking for a place to bowl. read more

The lane equipment is unreliable for league bowlers. constantly have to correct scores and reset the pins due to missing ones. Needing to have a pin or pins reset during League Play takes over 10 minutes and multiple requests! read more

First time there bowling in the bar room woodys was fun, but they kick you out at 9. Doesn't matter if your done playing or eating. Burger was good, fries, chips, and chicken tenders sucked, pizza was ok. No flavor, put a little salt on things especially for the price. The games are for little kids and half weren't working. New owners of Spectrum Lanes. If you condone corporate gouging, this is the place for you. If you think $5.00 is a fair price for pop. Or if you don't mind being charged extra on already unfair price hikes on plain old well drinks just because a tall glass has a little more pop in it than a small rocks glass. Or extra for ice because you got a drink on the rocks. Or, almost charging double for a bowling game, and $5.00 just to rent shoes. They are gouging you and shady in their prices. Families and retirees cannot afford it. We had been regular customers for at least 10 years and bowled twice a week, ate 2 to 3 meals a week and attended Sunday Night Funnies every Sunday. Not only drink prices and games have been hiked, so has the menu and they cut a lot of favorites out. Not worth it. So sad that corporate greed has taken over. If I could change it to half a star...plus, they have made it harder on what employees they do have. Vote with dollars, don't give your hard earned money to shady dealers. read more

DEPLORABLE service!! Last Saturday I went with a group to Woodys for a birthday party. After a half hour of waiting (and people going up to the bar to get their own drinks), we had to ask for a server to be assigned to our table. After he took our orders, it was then over an hour until we started receiving any food. Didn't check on us or offer drinks. When our server delivered our checks for our 8PM bowling time, and we realized that he hadn't put in my pizza order. He apologized and offered to bring it to me while we were bowling. Having worked in the service industry, I totally understand how crazy it can be on a busy night. I waited. Another 45 minutes passed, so I decided to go ask about it. He told me that it would be another 15-20 and I went back to my lane. After another half hour, still hungry, my boyfriend and I left. I wish I could give this place zero stars. It's so unfortunate, I used to enjoy bowling here ten years ago but after this I will never go back. read more

My go-to bowling alley. Love coming here on Wednesday nights as they have $1 shoes $1 game deals. They also have a $49 2 hour lane deal which comes with pizza and a pitcher which is what we did this last Saturday. Staff is very accommodating. Service is sometimes slow if there is a lot of bowlers but usually they are pretty attentive. Only complaint is in regards to lanes 30+ area. For some reason whenever we're placed on these higher numbered lanes, we always have issues with the lane like pin resets, balls getting stuck, etc. Staff assists fast though when you bring up the issue to the front counter. read more

Overpriced & the service is terrible. After ordering food, it took an hour and a half for it to arrive to us, cold. Then when we were bowling, we were never served by the wait staff who was seeing to random tables around us but never served us. I definitely suggest you go to any of the smaller venues in the city before you try this event center. read more

I personally think this is one of the better bowling alley's in the area. The prices are great especially if you get here before 5pm on a weekday ($2.50/game, $1.75 if you play on one of their leagues). The place is always very clean when I come here and the staff is very friendly. The technology they have for their lanes is awesome especially if you are coming here with children who want bumpers. You can set bumpers for specific players and they automatically come up/down when it's their turn which is super cool. There's a small arcade with what appears to be fun games for the kids and there's a bar/restaurant attached. The pro shop is also great - friendly/helpful staff and good products. My husband and I plan on joining a league here this summer which we look forward too. Highly recommend this alley! read more

The worst customer service I've experienced. Ordered pizzas as soon as we got our lanes set up, quite literally did not get them until our two hour time slot was up. After an hour and a half, the server tells us that the kitchen was shut down because they were backed up by an hour and 45 minutes. They shut it down before we even ordered, and she didn't think to explain that to us from the start..? A friend ordered a drink from the bar one hour into our time slot, and it never came. While our pizzas were being wheeled out on a cart (all the way across the alley, might I add) and uncovered, another gentlemen came to our table to warn us that the server had bumped into someone's behind with the cart and it slid them all to the side. After all of the waiting and horrible service, the pizza was awful and we still had to pay for all of it, but with a 40% discount.. If it were my business, the whole meal as well as drinks would have been comped, although if it were my business, I wouldn't have allowed anyone to wait 2 hours for pizza. I understand it was a busy night, however no food is worth waiting 2 hours for and especially still having to pay for it. If there is an issue with keeping up, don't allow so many people in the alley at once. This business has some serious gaps in their service and we will not be back. read more

A group of friends and I went on a Saturday night and were caught off guard when we entered the building to find security guards there to pat us down and check our purses. That was just unexpected for a bowling alley. Once we got past security, we went to pay for lanes. I was shocked that they charged $20 per person for a couple of hours. We still ended up having a good time, but probably wouldn't go back because of the cost. Staff was friendly, clean atmosphere, good music. read more

After 20 or so years, bowling with my family every other weekend.. spending minimum $400 on lanes, rentals food and drinks, I'm taking our business to downtown. Daughter worked there 3 weeks to a month ago. Quit because it just was not what she was looking for. (Specifically was not comfortable serving for particular parties, that she was told to wait on). Never once had she signed a clause stating if she quit she could not use the facilities. Not once was she even told that while working there. Fast forward to our family getting together. I get a call this evening that they were there but we're told she could no longer be in the building. Well THAT defeats the purpose of us all getting together. Not even sure that is legal.. I suppose, I'll just have to ask my lawyer in the am. Considering how many servers and employees I have seen in and out of there, pretty soon you will be loosing most of your clients as well. Considering it's a family establishment. Or so I believed. Too bad, I KNOW my family (both sides plus in laws) spent a REALLY large amount of our "fun money" there. I'm sure the Clique Lanes will be more accommodating for us. Their prices are cheaper anyways. Not to mention we don't usually have to wait or reserve lanes. Bonus is they are right down the street from all the breweries. Makes for a more exciting night. Just disappointed in this "family establishment". Way to make us feel unappreciated for blowing our money with you on a biweekly basis. read more

Showed up at 8:30 to bowl 9:30-2. Was told that they were not doing lanes until 10. I left and came back at 9:15, only to see a line to the entrance. After I waited in line for 40 minutes, they told me that there was no more lanes. Clearly, because I showed up at 9:15, they were doing lanes before 10. So not only was this a huge waste of time, I was clearly lied too. Newly renovated, state of the art, best in county bowling alley and they do not have a better system for getting lanes? No way to know how many lanes left, no way to tell if you'll wait in line just to be rejected. They owe it to the customers to let them know if it is possible they won't get a lane. You would think bowling alleys would have a better system than this. Telling people one by one that there are no more lanes is pathetic. Spectrum lanes is ran by clowns who have no clue how to please customers. Never go on a weekend because you may be waiting in line for 40 minutes just to be turned down. Save your money and go literally anywhere else. The staff couldn't even be bothered to let the customers in line know that they were out of lanes. Do yourself a favor and never, ever go to this sad excuse for a bowling alley. read more

I am a special education teacher and we were suppose on a field trip. The place we were suppose to go ended up forgetting that we were coming and we showed up to an empty parking lot and locked venue. In our panic to try and find somewhere to go last minute, we called Spectrum to see if they could possibly accommodate our special needs trip of approximately 70 students, staff, and parents. Mike was INCREDIBLY kind and accommodating and had everything already set up by the time we got there (we were already on the bus when we called). Heather was the server that took care of us and she did an amazing job! We had a group of about 70 people and I was blown away at how smooth things ran as we not only bowled but ordered lunch as well. They took one of our most stressful experiences and turned it into one of our most fun and memorable days! read more

Expect to get YELLED AT! I took my young kids here in a snowy Sunday afternoon. Got a lane, got a pizza, had a ball (actually considered having my son's birthday party here) and then, 3/4 way through our last game, the owner walks up to our table and yells at us: "YOU'RE DONE! RIGHT NOW! NO MORE! YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN OUT OF HERE A HALF AN HOUR AGO! I HAVE A LEAGUE HERE AND THEY'RE WAITING ON YOU!" We're just standing there with our mouths open in total shock. We tell the guy to calm down (our kids are totally freaked out), that we'll gladly leave, and that the guy who checked us in never told us we had to leave by a certain time. It was 2:50pm for crying out loud (their website says open bowl until 5pm) and other families were bowling right along with us. So we just stop bowling (explain that to a 3 and 5 year old) and trip over ourselves to get the heck out of the way of the league bowlers who are now circling us like angry weirdos. The jerk must have realized how ridiculous he was between our table and the cash register because he didn't charge us for the game he kicked us out of. He also 1/2 apologized for the "misunderstanding" which was 100% HIS but we accepted because, unlike him, we're mature adults. He never apologized for the way he treated us though. We also weren't the only ones he treated this way. We witnessed this same behavior earlier in the day when he publicly humiliated other bowlers over the INTERCOM SYSTEM! We absolutely will never go back. read more
