Went to Specsavers as following reviewing their website I thought the offers in-store were better than elsewhere. But that where it ends really.
The book-in process, preliminary tests and eye test itself seemed almost automated - a bit like going through the drivethru at McDonalds or wherever.
Choosing the frames was the fun part, and the offers in this area were good.
Fitting and making the collection appointment were poor. The chap fitting the frames for me made me feel like I was being hard work when I told him they weren't as comfortable as I'd like and had to adjust them.
But the worst - is waiting over a week just to collect the glasses.
They do all this work to get you through the door with their advertising and offers, the testing process from my perspective felt "automated", but what really lets them down is the wait time for the glasses to be made.
I'm not ordering varifocals or tinted or anything other than standard glazed single vision glasses, but it's taking over a week.
