I admit that I know bugger all about photography, but when I was looking for an SLR camera for my girlfriend's birthday, this store was no end of help and I ended up buying one of their second hand models, which came fully guaranteed and resulted in a great present according to my girlfriend. I often pop back every now and then to have a browse, which the staff don't mind at all - a rarity these days, I'm sure you'll agree.

Small but…read moreextremely well stocked shop, with very experienced and knowledgeable staff who are also very helpful and a pleasure to visit. I had to take my camera in to be repaired and they were very quick, and honest about what needed doing and what it would cost. They also do photo printing but it has to be sent away they are very good for black and white film which is something to bear in mind. If they can't help you then they will always recommend alternatives or if they don't have what you need will order it in, always happy to go the extra mile.

I followed up straight after the order as I needed to clarify some details, no response. I then followed up with KGB deals and they contacted Blue Amigo. Blue Amigo got back to them pretty quickly advising they were waiting for the image... What? I submitted with the order. So I got back in touch with Blue Amigo again, and yet again have had no response on various occasions. I tried calling, but if you're reading this post you will probably already know that their phone is either busy or goes straight to an answerphone. AVOID AT ALL COST and do your research, I wouldn't be surprised if they rename themselves and carry on. I am happy to be convinced otherwise (just get in touch!!), but until then, this review stands. UPDATE: I found a forum entry from Blue Amigo on the Money Saving Expert forums, which was in response to a number of compaints. They had posted a "priority" email address there (seems like random place to communicate with your costomers, I would have preferred an email instead of having to trawl the web for this). Emailed that address, got a response and been told that it will be dealt with. We'll see what happens.
