Extremely disappointing experience after being a long-term customer…read more I have been a customer of this practice for many years. All three of my children have had glasses through them, and my family has spent many thousands of dollars with the practice. I have also regularly recommended them through local mums/pages and my neurodiverse support network. My previous review from 4-5 years ago was positive, which makes this experience even more disappointing. I purchased prescription glasses for $805, along with Jimmy Choo prescription sunglasses, bringing the total to $1,315. The sunglasses were a discontinued display model, and I was advised by Litza that to receive the discounted price on the sunglasses, I also had to purchase another pair of prescription glasses through the practice. I agreed and purchased the whole package through them, despite finding the same prescription frame online for considerably less, because I trusted the practice and wanted to support a business I had been loyal to for years. There were also pricing issues. I had notes of my discussions with Litza regarding the agreed price, yet the price increased by another $21 when I collected the glasses. They also took over a month to arrive, and I was advised I would receive an additional representative discount because of the delay. This ultimately did not happen. The prescription glasses themselves have been a nightmare. I specifically told the practice I needed them for driving, including night driving. I chose and paid extra for FL-41 lenses due to my migraines. I was told they would be suitable for night driving, but I have found them unsuitable for me and raised this with the practice. I was told I needed to "get used to the lenses." My refund request, however, is about the frame, not the FL-41 lenses. The frame causes significant pressure around my temples and I develop migraines during daytime wear, often within 15-20 minutes. I attended multiple adjustment appointments and even used tissues around the arms of the frame to try to relieve the pressure because I genuinely wanted them to work. I asked about changing to a smaller/lighter frame but was told there would be an additional cost. The frame has now been loosened twice and slips down my nose while still putting pressure on my temples. I have since sought independent opinions from three optometrists, who have advised that the frame is too heavy for my face and, particularly given my migraines, that the weight and pressure around my temples are contributing to the problem. Despite this, I have repeatedly been asked to return for another adjustment. I am seeking a refund because I cannot comfortably wear these glasses for their intended purpose. What has been most upsetting is the way this has been handled. My requests were referred to as my "demands" becoming more and more, despite my position remaining the same: I simply wanted glasses I could actually wear. After multiple attempts to resolve this directly, and emails going unanswered, I have now lodged the matter with NSW Fair Trading and will consider NCAT if necessary. The most disappointing part is how a long-term customer who has supported, recommended and trusted this practice for years has been treated when something went wrong. Customer service isn't really tested when everything goes perfectly. It's tested when something goes wrong and a customer needs help finding a fair resolution. Sadly, I genuinely expected better.

Basically one pair of Designer Frames with lenses at my Optometrist was $550 with a rebate. The lenses are terrible and they constantly fog up. I love the frames but I can tell the glasses were just thrown together. Also the fact that the optometrist rang me close to harrassment to try out some Contact Lenses for free , of course. I had to avoid him in the street. Not long after I find this cool place and I love that I can get 2 pairs of specs for less than $400 with no rebate. I hadnt heard of Bailey Nelson until they opened in the Shire . Since googling, Im well impressed. Story goes , a couple of hipsters started the business in Bondi and like to help people save money, so they cut out all the unneccessary middlemen. At B&N They rang my previous Optometrist to confirm my prescription and had the glasses made up in a week . Its not my imagination but the lenses are really clear and I wasnt asked if I want the works , like Fog Free, Glare Free, Scratch resistant , Break Free etc . Honestly the BS that we have to answer , who would say no ? No Im good thanks I want my glasses to fog and break easily . As I know that it costs about a dollar to make them and you are all parasites but lets waste more time. How thin would you like to go ? well I still want to resemble Coke Bottles of course NOT. They dont do this at B&N . Also they dont have a big neon sign on the side to advertise their brand . Its descretely displayed on th inside of the arm. Im thinking they would update quite regularly as they are fashion forward . The same colours come in different frames for different shapes etc. Makes so much sense to me. I will always buy my glasses here now.

Eyeballs Eyewear on Oxford Street in Paddington certainly capitalises on this obsession, as they stock some seriously stylish eyewear, and they cater to all our fashion obsessions as they sell both prescription glasses and sunglasses. All the higher end glasses shops are stocking Tom Ford at the moment and so they should, his sunglasses are amazing, some of the best designs I have ever seen. Another great brand Eyeballs are offering is Mykita who are a German brand providing extremely funky, Hi tech yet well made eyewear. Lindberg is another brand on offer, which is a little more classic and demure, but none the less stylish. A great shop.

I feel that I've found that here…read more My first visit with Jim Kokkinakis included a thorough eye exam and discussion about my eye concerns. I have had previous surgeries to my eyes which have given me dry eye syndrome, conjunctival scarring and scleral thinning. I cannot wear normal contact lenses. The last time I tried it was very scary... I literally had to run to a chemist for eye drops and then to the bathroom to take them out because I had intense pain and pulling sensations. I have tried medications including restasis with minimal improvement. My last hope is scleral lenses which are extremely expensive customised lenses that trap a layer of fluid between the eye surface and the lense. The fitting process is intricate and takes a patient person, and although it's not over yet I'm hoping for a positive outcome. Either way I appreciate the dedication of the Eye Practice and I highly recommend them. (They have some nice frames too) :)

Highly comprehensive with their eye checks. I am an Ortho K client, which basically means I wear hard contact lenses at night, that prevent my vision from getting worse, without having to wear contacts or glasses during the day. The staff at the Eye Practice explained to me thoroughly what the process involved and I have been satisfied tremendously for years. Great range of both sunglasses and prescription glasses but most importantly very professional and genuine service.

The broken hinge wasn't able to be fixed and the other optical shops couldn't make a pair of glasses quickly or find suitable replacement frames that would fit her older style of lenses. I found this shop on Google and took a chance. One of the owners - Shahe Nazarian - greeted us and took care of us in the most professional manner. My mother is 75, anxious, particular, and is in the beginning stages of Alzheimer's. Shahe was so patient and kind and reassuring. She took her time finding us a selection of frames that would fit the shape of my mother's lenses. She always worked with a smile even when my mother repeated her worried questions or when she had trouble communicating clearly. Her husband, Joseph Nazarian took care of placing the lenses into new frames and fitting them to my mother's face. I was so worried that my mother wouldn't be able to see properly for the rest of our trip. Her condition makes her very resistant to change and at first she was reluctant to embrace these new glasses, but I think it will all work out and I truly appreciate the kindness of everyone at this shop. They made a difficult situation a success.

Was recommended a frame that was very suitable for my face and the lens recommendation too was of top quality, with blue light blocking embedded into the glass itself (not just a film applied). Cheaper than OPSM too. Worth supporting this family business over the big chains. If you have an OPSM prescription or eye test done there, they can use that info as well by calling up OPSM.

They are probably not the cheapest in town but the help I am given to find just the right frames makes it more than worth it. I now let Riad suggest (rather than me wandering about) and the last few times I have always selected the first or second of his suggestions (and trust me, I try on a LOT of pairs!) - and no matter how long it takes, you never feel like a nuisance. I am also surprised that it can be a couple of years between visits and he remembers my name. I never go anywhere else.

I know, sounds crazy right? Well apart from that, sales reps are very professional and they offer the best service by my opinion to help you finding the best available frame or sunnies that you love.
