Wasted money & time. I would have ordered through Etsy but was concerned about timing. Ordered a small engraved plate, was told it would be a week to be done. Paid twice as much and was called the following Friday that is was done and would leave outside for me to pick up after hours. Showed up and was not there. They're also not open on the weekends so this order was a waste as I needed it that Saturday. Learned a lesson not to rely on them. The item also did not get engraved, just printed on the plate. I do not recommended as they're customer service is lacking and seems like they are very unorganized as they had a hard time even finding the plate when I showed up Monday to pick up the useless order. read more

I would give no stars if I could. I ordered a very small job in late October. They promised it would be ready by November 11. Today is December 9 and the order is still not done in spite of me contacting them five times. Today I drove an hour, based on them saying it would be done today. It was not. I cancelled the order and based on this experience and their total lack of follow through or caring at all about completion of my order, I would tell you to go anywhere but here. Great trophies and cool awards for our cub scout pack. fast, friendly, dependable and great pricing. Pat said that the quantities we had to buy in larger sizes had changed where we needed to buy a dozen where we only needed two. We asked them to waive that minimum purchase as that wasn't required previously. He got them to waive the minimum requirement but then would not count them in our totals so we fell one shirt short of a $4 per shirt discount. That meant our order was now $140 higher than we planned. Pat was always very slow to respond on any questions we had. I suspect our order, which would have been valued around $1800, was smaller than what he was used to doing so really didn't seem like he wanted the deal. So we are not going to do business with Specialty Engraving anymore. The really funny thing is we found another local provider that has the same brands for about $5 less per polo shirt at qty 1. we can knock another $5 off in larger quantities. Same on Hats, aprons, etc. And they will do the embroidery we need for the same as SE, we just save a lot more. We looked on Amazon, you can really save even more there so before you buy from the purported "specialist", check out local merchants and you will find that Specialty Engraving means especially high pricies.......... read more

Specialty Engraving is advertising that they can do custom engraving on Stainless Steel cup. You can buy theirs or bring your own. I brought in 4 SS stemless wine cups and 2 ss stemmed wine cups. All brand new. The gentleman that waited on me was very personable & helpful. He had me write down exactly what I wanted. I did. on the stemmed cups I want My initials KBY and I wrote the "B" larger than the other 2 letter (I thought it was obvious because it's common practice) On the 2nd cup I wanted my sister's name Cynthia. when I received my order my initials were all the same size (I said fine,didn't like it but whatever), my sister's cup "Cythia".I was in a hurry when I left their shop so I didn't catch the mistake until i got home. when I called them the next day they told me to bring in another cup and they'd do it for "free" I told them to order a new cup and to make it right. they told me to come in a bring in my receipt from where I bought the cups and they would reimburse me for the cup? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I paid them $15 per cup (6 cups total) plus a set up fee of $25 and the only they're offering is to pay for the cup?? My cost on those cups was only $7.25 each. So basically I've paid them $30 (plus set up fee) to ruin my cups and my Christmas gift for my sister. I don't feel like I'm being unreasonable. On a positive note, I do like my 4 SS stemless cups. they only had to put 1 letter on those. So they are capable of doing one letter. read more

Very quick with a custom engraving on a weird request I had. Pricing was also pretty reasonable too for this request. Nailed it perfectly. Will be bringing more designs in to them in the future. Also will likely get some awards made from their large selection of examples. read more
