It's nice to know that you can depend on a business for honesty, quick service, no hassles, and usually no wait. I'm very grateful that he is still going strong after all these years... I don't even know his name, but he is always so kind and helpful. You don't need an appointment, just drive on in at K St. The shop is located behind the South Coast RV center. If you need to smog your vehicle, I definitely recommend coming here. read more

Special Smog Test Only - Amazing smog place! - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Chula Vista, California

This is my new go to spot for smog tests. It's very hidden though so if it weren't for reading Yelp comments and asking around, I would've never found it. The older gentleman, Duong, was very polite and friendly. I was in and out within 15 mins. When I realized we spoke the same native language, we began speaking in Vietnamese. He informed me this is a family business, which I think is very impressive for anyone where English is their second language. Come here for your smog tests, you won't be disappointed! read more

I have been coming to Mr. Nguyen for years today. His son greeted me and told me they could not honor the price that I have been paying for years even after I showed all my receipts and proof of the price I pay with Mr. Nguyen he still declined. I headed over to B and J smog check down the street and they did the same thing for $48. read more

Came in for a smog test, the shop is kind of hidden behind the RV place, if you are in need of a smog please consider this place!! Upon arrival I was greeted by an older gentleman who was eager to help. I was his only customer and I could tell it was his family business. He was quick and he was kind. His prices are great. I will definitely be returning for any other cars that need smog. Happy to help a small business which in return had great service. May god bless him and his business :) read more

And I still come here. Quick, reasonable price and the owner is really sweet and professional.

Fast, friendly and open on Sunday! Yelp wants me to keep writing so there are enough words.... I said it all in the first sentence. If you didn't figure it out from that, there is probably nothing else I can say to convince you. Happy smog check Sunday! read more

It's Sunday and I went to a smog place in spring valley but when I walked in there were 5 people waiting for a smog. Looked up this place online. It's hidden inside a compound of some other businesses but it was awesome. No line and I was in and out in around 10 min. Cost $78. I'll probably come back here next year for my smog. read more

Fantastic, fast service - and the only smog station open early on a Sunday morning. The owner is so pleasant and kind !

No appointment necessary, just drive your heap on in. Entrance is off of K Street, despite the Broadway address. The shop is pretty clean, but the inspection takes place outside. The owner is a nice guy, actually greeted me before I got out of my car. He finished the previous vehicle, and then did mine. $56.75 plus cost of the certificate, $8 and change. Fast, efficient, and most importantly, done. read more

The best customer service. Both the older man and his younger son are very nice and fast on what they do.

Open Sunday very friendly was in and out quick will recommend and bring my other cars for smog check

I normally use another smog test center I have been going to for over a decade. However, they had a new policy where older vehicles (1993 in this case) would have to be dropped off in the morning and left there all day and picked up in the afternoon. Considering this location is 20 miles away from home and I work, this wasn't logistically an easy thing to do. Luckily I found this test center, which was close to my home and they took in walk-ins without reservations with a simple phone call. They had no issues doing my 1993 vehicle and I was out within 30 minutes. It would have been quicker but someone was there right before me. Price was slightly more expensive, however the convenience and time/effort it saved me was well worth it. The owner was very nice, happy to help and will probably use them from now on, even for my newer vehicles that don't have scheduling conflicts with my other test center. read more

No pre-test or retest policy here (not even a discount), so choose another place, even if you're desperate!.. or it could be your hard earned money. He also quoted me one "out the door" price over the phone after being told exactly what year make and model of vehicle was being tested and then tried to add $10 to that cost upon my arrival, not including the $8.95 state filing fee he never mentioned. There are too many reviews like this for that to be an honest mistake, it is a pattern. read more

Owner was literally running back and forth between the cars, goes to show how hard he works and cares about getting you in and out in a timely manner. He was also respectful of social distancing. $68 for my 2001 S10, and he deserves every dollar. read more

So the 40 bucks quoted on the phone didn't include the 8 dollar certificate fee and the $5 off check in offer wasn't honored because it was Sunday and he said he quoted me less because he wasn't busy. All which left me paying a solid ten bucks more than expected. BUT, that was the fastest smog test of my life. I was in and out in ten minutes and the guy was super nice. I suppose ten bucks was worth not repeating the two hours sitting outside a gas station that has been my reality in the past so I would still return here though I know I could get a better deal (i have a coupon from another place that would total ten bucks less altogether....but yeah...not open on Sundays and probably wouldn't be done so fast. So still gotta give the guy credit for my easiest smog check ever even if it wasn't my cheapest.) read more

Mitzi and Matt and especially Eileen must be totally mistaken. Open on Sunday! I needed a smog on a rainy Sunday morning, from the other Yelp reviews, I gave it a shot. I arrived at about 8:05am and was quickly directed in, paperwork filled out and smog done in less than 15 minutes!! I couldn't believe it!! My other car was due as well, so I brought it in on a Friday afternoon... same result... done in 15 minutes!! The shop is clean and by watching him, you can tell he is very thorough. I watched him methodically inspect my car and go through all the tests, its really a work of art to see someone that knows exactly what they're doing work so quickly and efficiently. Everyone hates doing smog, but this will be my go-to spot whenever its time to do it all over again. read more

I returned back to CA and just brought my car in. The shop was clean, the technician, who I assume is the owner, was very courteous, even opened my car door for me to let me out. :) $49.95 + $8.25 for the smog check- not bad, I guess prices have gone up in years.
