This is my new go to spot for smog tests. It's very hidden though so if it weren't for reading Yelp comments and asking around, I would've never found it. The older gentleman, Duong, was very polite and friendly. I was in and out within 15 mins. When I realized we spoke the same native language, we began speaking in Vietnamese. His son greeted me and told me they could not honor the price that I have been paying for years even after I showed all my receipts and proof of the price I pay with Mr. Nguyen he still declined. I normally use another smog test center I have been going to for over a decade. However, they had a new policy where older vehicles (1993 in this case) would have to be dropped off in the morning and left there all day and picked up in the afternoon. Considering this location is 20 miles away from home and I work, this wasn't logistically an easy thing to do. Luckily I found this test center, which was close to my home and they took in walk-ins without reservations with a simple phone call. They had no issues doing my 1993 vehicle and I was out within 30 minutes. It would have been quicker but someone was there right before me. Price was slightly more expensive, however the convenience and time/effort it saved me was well worth it. The owner was very nice, happy to help and will probably use them from now on, even for my newer vehicles that don't have scheduling conflicts with my other test center. read more

No pre-test or retest policy here (not even a discount), so choose another place, even if you're desperate!.. or it could be your hard earned money. He also quoted me one "out the door" price over the phone after being told exactly what year make and model of vehicle was being tested and then tried to add $10 to that cost upon my arrival, not including the $8.95 state filing fee he never mentioned. So the 40 bucks quoted on the phone didn't include the 8 dollar certificate fee and the $5 off check in offer wasn't honored because it was Sunday and he said he quoted me less because he wasn't busy. All which left me paying a solid ten bucks more than expected. BUT, that was the fastest smog test of my life. I was in and out in ten minutes and the guy was super nice. I suppose ten bucks was worth not repeating the two hours sitting outside a gas station that has been my reality in the past so I would still return here though I know I could get a better deal (i have a coupon from another place that would total ten bucks less altogether....but yeah...not open on Sundays and probably wouldn't be done so fast.
