I've been going there for 25 years and I think they don't really care anymore. They said my vehicle would not link to the state's computer and then charged me full price? They never performed a test and then said " take it to the dealer." I took the car somewhere else and it passed. They have become very rude ! read more

Quick service on a Saturday and the paperwork was in the system almost immediately! Second time coming here and will continue to do so.

The experience was easy and pleasant. They got right on with checking me in, no fuss. They also have standard prices so you're not gonna have sticker shock. The gentleman who helped me, who I assumed was the owner, was very friendly and it was fairly obvious that he took pride in his business and providing the best service. I will come back here for my next smog check and will recommend them to anyone that's in the area. read more

Horrible service. Very rude. Person at counter is grouchy and ill tempered. Appears to be incompetent. read more

Was there with nobody ahead of me. Was in and out of there and literally back into my car in less than ten minutes.

It's that time of year, smog! I came across this spot by the good reviews. Was welcomed instantly, explained prices etc & to smog they went. The whole process between signing the paperwork & the smog itself took a total a 9min! Could not be any happier. Thank you guys for being quick and efficient! Will be coming here for my other vehicles. read more

Had to get a older truck (1995 Chevy Silverado) smogged and a lot of places could not do it - Just Smog could!!! Dan had me in and out within 15 minutes. He was also friendly. I recommend coming here! Thanks again!

In and out no appointment necessary. This place is the best!! Quick and efficient !!!!

Friendly and quick service. I needed to get a smog test done fast and I was in and out in 15 mins.

He doesn't do any work other than smog. I've always taken my car to him. The price is right and he is reliable.

Excellent service. I highly recommend this place. Dan took great care of me. On a scale of 1-10 I rate this place and 11 !!

I came in yesterday morning. I called in advance to estimate approximate wait time. Dan answered me over the phone saying that it was first, come first serve. Luckily I was the first one there. I was in and out of there in about five mins. One thing that really stood out to me in that short amount of time was Dan's outstanding customer service. His welcoming attitude and his professionalism really went a long way in those 5 mins. I even came back today to get my wife's car smogged as well. Thank you Just Smog, Chula Vista for your service. read more

I come to this location all the time when my car needs smog. They open up at 8 am on Saturday's. I pulled up 5 minutes before 8 am. First come first serve basis. You don't need an appointment. The lady in front was nice. She had me fill out paperwork. She said it was $57 if my car passed smog and $48 if it doesn't. Thankfully my car did. I have been trying to take care of my car. I'm glad it passed smog. All I have to pay is the registration. It was pretty fast. They take cash and Visa but no checks. There are chairs inside while you wait. However there are no public restrooms. There were also magazines on the tables near the chairs as you wait. I definitely will be back if my car needs another smog. Thanks guys! read more

Quick, reasonable with friendly professional staff. Arrived just before opening and they welcomed me inside to complete the paperwork. They offer free retest within 30 days if needed but luckily no need for that benefit today. read more

Love this little mom & pop shop. Excellent service from the family owned business. Very fast & efficient. Thanks again

Didn't have to wait long at all. Took my car in right away. All they do is smog tests, so no other services to complicate my wait. Promised to be done in 20 minutes, got it done in 10. I visited 2 other places in CV over the past year and a half (between my 2 cars) and this is the best of the 3. They follow Covid rules and the wait room is clean. They are STAR Certified for cases where DMV requires that level of test. One difference maker is that they do not charge extra for a retest if your car fails the 1st time - other places charge as high as $15 for a retest. Thankfully mine did not need it. read more

Brought my car in for the smog test and the service was fast and friendly as usual. I decided to go on a walk while my car was being tested and they said they would lock it up for me so I could come back any time. As soon as I got back, they met me inside and I was on my way! This is the only place I choose to take my car for my smog test. If your car fails the test, you get one free retest. read more

Is speed what you need? I have been going to Just Smog for my smog inspections for the last 6 years or so after a friend recommended them to me. This place is great! It's always been that way! read more

I usually go to the same smog service shop... but, the shop I usually go to wasn't available at the time. I always noticed this place it's hard to miss it's right on the corner of 3rd ave and I St in Chula Vista neighbors with the 7-11 store. They do strictly smog so you won't be waiting long at all. These guys are EXTREMELY professional, quick, very nice and have excellent customer service. Very pleasant experience and very convenient as well. 10 stars for these guys and this shop. I highly recommend these guys if your in need of a smog test and it's a star certified shop for DMV purposes. read more

I have been coming here for over 10 years and would highly recommend this place. They are a very kind family owned business, and I just can say enough great things about them. I needed a smog pretty quick and They were super fast and super friendly. I appreciate the kind service.

They are STAR Smog certified (as will everyone else will be eventually). I didn't pass my smog test here. Please note this is a "Test Site Only." By California law they aren't allowed to give any opinions on what could be wrong. But believe me they have a list inside their heads of possible problems, as does any other ASE mechanic. With that being said, don't expect much other than a very swift test! They also provide free retest. They are professional and fast. Took about 20 minutes. I agree with the top review standard pricing, but for how quick they are it is totally worth it. I brought in a 1995 Nissan 200sx. 8.25$ for the certificate transfer and I believe the test itself is about 41.00-50.00 read more

$57 for my Honda Civic which was the test and certification to DMV. Easy to find and access (corner of street). Got there only 1 person ahead of me. Lady in office was on her phone so I just waited for her to get off. Her English was bad and raspy but not too hard to figure out if you know what you are there for... The guy blowing the leafs off the street came in which she put the clipboard out behind her and he took my car to the back. 10 minutes later, he returns the clipboard, she says YOU PASS, says $57, I pay with my card, and she says YOU NO PAY. I was like OK, and on my way. She was trying to tell me I don't have to pay the DMV since I already paid them (the sheet I gave them was the second notice for smog since I paid my registration already without doing the smog simultaneously). Again, if you come here knowing what to do/what to expect, this is great. They are fast and I think the price is fair, but I'm just basing that off the previous place I used to go to in Bonita. Over there I was paying around $50 and the smog test would take around 30 minutes+. read more

Quick, efficient, excellent customer service. I called ahead as they were closing soon. The said come on down and we'll get you in before they lock up. I was in and out in 20 minutes. Excellent. read more

This shop has smogged my car for the last 8 years, they are very unfriendly and rude. They think they are all that and Carrie a chip on their shoulders, I would stay away and go to a friendlier shop that appreciates you business. They also get in your car with no protection after they laid on the asphalt to check the exhaust system. AGAIN STAY AWAY. To me these guys are real crooks, if you have a high Performence vehicle this place is not for you. Also surprised the EPA has not shut down this Old Gas station down, probably polluting the entire corner underneath read more

This place was great. Dan was very nice and extremely helpful, he took me in right away. Dan gave me a great price it was one of the lowest around town and he even offered a free re-test. My experience there was so good my husband took his car there for his smog. ~Thank you Dan! read more
