They never tell you up front that in order to get out of a contract, you need to send a letter requesting cancellation that will then take 30 days to process, they will charge you membership fee for those 30 days and another $50 fee on top of that--READ: this is even if you signed up for 12 months; they will automatically renew your membership, so you HAVE to send in this letter. Ugh. Plus, as I mentioned before, the manager for this particular store is a jerk who should be fired and taught how to properly deal with customers in a way that validates them...even remotely. Horrible experience all around. Don't do it. Go somewhere with a pool. You'll thank me.

There are multiple studios for classes, cross fit areas and equipment, a nice free weight area and tons of cardio and Cybex machines. It's a laid back, welcoming, clean facility with a mixture of clients that range from young to retirees. Other gyms can be intimidating, lots of people trying to impress each other, trying to date each other, being brutes. The work out company is different. It's a community filled with locals who love fitness, from casual exercise to intense weight lifting. People greet each other and talk to each other, as a community should. In addition, the work out company supports our special needs residents through work experience. This place has heart !

These women really get me motivated to work out, and do things I don't really want to do. But after I do them and the classes I feel so much better and want to do better in my life. Dafne is a wonderful person, shipment of energy and makes a great leader. All of the women that instruct the classes are awesome because they all have a lot of energy and they know how to explain the moves in a way that you get the hang of it. The most important part about the gym, is that there is no judgment. You don't feel like you're being watched, or judged on how you do the moves compared to someone else. The instructors are easy to talk to if you need help or to get the form down to prevent injury. These ladies are looking out for you without embarrassing you. The trainer, Nicolette is great! When I did some training with her, she explained why we are doing the exercises, which really helped me understand why I was doing it! It made me enjoy going to training instead of dreading it.

So at 9:07 after she took several minutes not finding his reservation and she said there was plenty of room in the class he could not do the class or the next one for the Day. Is that how you get new members? Is that how you treat customers? Unbelievably disappointed. He will not be joining. I called to ask the girl at the front desk to have her manager call me. Instead of apologizing she argued with me. I really hope I get a call back. I hate that this happened because I really enjoyed coming here when I visited home and the trainers were great. When I later attempted to cancel my membership, I was informed that an additional month of payment was still required, which was frustrating given the situation. Overall, I found the staff to be generally dismissive and the overall experience did not meet expectations. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this gym.

Not sure why there's not real, liquid half n half as I'm sure many members are probably diabetic or have other diet issues with powdered creamer where the #1 ingredient is corn syrup powder. Have those sponsors provide half n half! Highly recommend you join if you are 55+ and come check it out. It's only $30/year which includes most activities. In addition, ARC offers a free shuttle bus that will take you door to door if needed! ARC is a tremendous community asset for the older generations!
