This locally owned vitamin shop is a real gem! They always have great deals on high-quality supplements, and their prices easily beat the big chain stores. What really sets them apart, though, is the service. the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to help you find exactly what you need. They go above and beyond every time, even ordering specific products if they don't have them in stock. It's clear they truly care about their customers and want to make sure everyone gets the best options for their health. Supporting a local business that gives this level of personal attention feels great! read more

Not sure what happened today. I have been here many times and really like this store. Always friendly and helpful. Always spend over a $100 each time as its an hour from home. Today not so much. Needed help picking out several supplements but for some reason could hardy get them to interact with me. Almost to the point of rude and inconsiderate. Last time I was there I mentioned how far I drove to get there and they said to mention that next time and they would give me a 10% discount. Maybe my mentioning it put them off. I don't know. Maybe just a bad day. Who knows. I will try again but if this is the new attitude I will find another place, maybe closer to home. On the positive side they do have a great selection and reasonably priced. read more

I went to Special Nutrition when I was planning a trip to a third world country and wanted a natural "remedy" in case of food poisoning of any type. Louise, the owner, was amazingly knowledgeable and helpful. They have many brands that she has vetted -- she knew about the manufacturers, specifics about some of the plants, and the backgrounds of the lower priced supplements -- some which were lines by more expensive brands. They carry several professional lines, and offer discounts on those. They also have "10% off" days on the first Wed and Thurs of each month. If you special order on those days, the orders are discounted as well. All of the service people are trained, and are consistently kind and helpful. Especially after reading recent studies about many supplements not containing the ingredients it represents on the labels -- Special Nutrition has become my trusted source of 'vetted" supplements. read more

Happy to support this great Mom and Pop local business in Sarasota. The staff is knowlegeable and friendly..and the absolute best prices in town! If there is something that they dont carry , they are happy to special order your specific product. The owners make a trip every few weeks to Miami, to stock fresh and frozen gluten free breads, cakes, donuts and cookies. If you have a histamine issue, such as DAO, they have an array of enzymes, probiotics and gastro products to amend these issues, as well as other specialty conditions. read more

I'm surprised this place doesn't have more reviews. I've frequented it twice, and I must say, I like it better than Professional Supplement Center across town. I didn't expect to find a product by my favorite line of supplements, Pure Encapsulations, to be discounted like it was. That's a professional line of products that never sees a price reduction. The staff was helpful in locating what I needed on the shelves. As a first time customer, I received a goodie bag full of cosmetic, and other product samples. I enjoyed it very much, who does that ? Thanks guys. I would say, there website really needs an overhaul, lol. read more

After trying several health supplement stores in the area, I am so happy to have found this one! The owner Louise and her staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. Her prices are the best I've found and I have saved 50% versus shopping online for the same high quality. Please support this gem as this is the type of small business we need more of. read more

Let me preface this review by saying Special Nutrition beats Amazon prices on several of the items I purchase for myself. They offer a huge assortment of vitamins and supplements and also an assortment vegan and organic products. Marco is especially helpful and is highly knowledgeable about all the products in the store. I don't write many reviews, but this store definitely deserves 5 stars. read more

I purchased a $60 bottle of CBD oil. When I got it home and opened the box, I saw a label on the bottle that said "Sample Only: Not For Resale". This really seems suspicious to me. I am uncomfortable with this shop. read more
