I always dread going to Swan Lake Cemetary because in the past it has been a total mess. This year I was quite surprised that the location Pond was in excellent shape. All the flags and the poles were pristine and the grounds were well groomed... probably the best I have ever seen. As We were leaving we sound the grounds keeper working up front and I had to stop and give him kudos for the work he is doing there. It took forever to find the number to call and report it. I know that they purchased Perpetual Care, so I anticipated the problem being fixed AS I WAS ASURED IT WOULD BE. This Memorial Day when I found the stone still leaning I called again, livid! And I was told that "they" told her she could not do anything thing with the stone. What then, I asked, is Perpetual Care for? She said it was for the grounds. Does that mean if it hadn't been purchased they would't mow the grass? But why hadn't I received a call back in a year to tell me she was unable to fix the stone? I have now hired a monument company to install a new base, guaranteed for life. My Aunt and Uncle have undoubtedly rolled over in their grave at this treatment!

The paperwork for the PRE-PAID funeral was signed on 7-16-2024. I signed the Interment Order and Authorization form three times now!!! Still to this day they have given me nothing but excuses as to why this has not been done! I have been told every excuses under the sun! Too much rain in KC MO to do the engagement, weather related issues, there are six other families on the list with us being on the top of the list, it normally takes 6 months, there a third party company that does the Engravement so on and so forth!! I took these pictures yesterday, no rain, ground dry and still NOT ENGRAVED!! It took 3 hours to sign to prepaid documents only after I started questioning the price I was going to have to pay. Because I was having to pay the difference they paid for something that was prepaid for!! So yeah I was beyond pissed when the fiqures were not adding up!! Would you not be if it was your Mother or Father?! I was also told sometime after my Father's service this place turned away friends, co-workers, former KC MO police officers and military personnel away, that the service was for family only, which was a complete lie!! You can't tell me that there is only one engraving company with over 510,000 people in the greater Kansas City MO metropolitan area! I call bullshit and I'm over it with all the lies and excuses! All I want is to have my mother and father's stone fixed, done and completed so I can move there stone to were we live now! My sister called this morning speaking to Andrea Olsen, only to receive the exact same lies, excuses, as to why it hasn't been done. To only have Andrea Olsen say she will call once it's completed and hung up on my sister!! I did not post my mother's passing on social media nor did I call every family member at her request for several of her reasons that are irrelevant at this point! If you unfortunately have family member pass away I would highly recommend staying clear of this company period!! I don't want another family to experience the utterly disrespectful way we've been treated and especially the disrespect to the memory of my mother and father.
