The next morning we started to initiate a plan because my father did not make any arrangements. I was unfamiliar with any local services and relied on faith when I chose Newcomers Noland Road Chapel from my google search. We were able to meet with Don Birney and discuss our options. We really relied on his experience to guide us. What I expected to be a difficult task turned out to be extremely easy and affordable. Don was very compassionate and thorough during his assistance. Since my father was a Veteran, Don informed us of veteran's assistance. We had arrangements completed within an hour. We had many other matters to attend to and Don assured us he would continue to oversee my father's arrangements as well as the death certificate procedure. We returned to Illinois and Don stayed in daily contact with updates. His perseverance with getting the death certificate signed was invaluable. I received my father's remains in a very timely manner. I can't express enough our appreciation and satisfaction with Don and Newcomers. I highly recommend them for your family.

I just couldn't get my thoughts together to design what I wanted for our double headstone for he and I. 1st spoke with Beth she showed my daughter and I design books which helped alot. Then Angel Frisbie came to help as well. Both ladies were so kind, compassionate and knowledgeable of what they were selling. This was July 2025 I was wanting to get it ordered so he would have one by Christmas. We ordered it, finalized the design, final viewing of it to be sure it was correct by my daughters, next was the call Sept 24, 2025 it was going to be set in just about a hour. I never imagined it would be set this quick. I cried in my car driving down the road after the call from Colton from Frisbie. I had not seen the finished stone until it was set. I am so pleased at the time frame it took to be done and set. They sent me mock-ups each time after I tweeked the logo or lettering until it was exactly right. She answered all my questions and addressed any concern I had with the utmost respect for our situation. She was beyond patient when I challenged the bill and she explained to me what I was misunderstanding and put my mind at ease. Taylor and the rest of the staff was very professional and treated me and my family with dignity and respect. Being in a job like this everyone needs to have compassion and love in their heart and Taylor and her staff proved they have what it takes. We had my grandpa's funeral here. Terriable service. Don't care about the family at all. No food or…read moredrink allowed, not even water. Didn't offer any space or room for a family. Didn't offer a chair to my 84 year old grandma to receive all the guests. Will not transfer flowers to the church. No way to show a slide show of my grandpa. The only thing I've seen the funeral director do is sit and yell at people who bring water or coffee in. Would never recommend. Decor dated and ugly. At 30 min till 8 the funeral director kept turning thermostat down to almost freezing conditions In order to get people to leave. It was very apparent they wanted us out of there as soon as possible. These people have no business being in the funeral business.

Their services are the same as others, simply meeting the needs of the community of which the business resides. At least weekly I'm hoping it is getting better care by current owners It deserves it. This is a Historical Landmark and deserves the best as many still come here.
