Now I know giving a review on a funeral home is kind of morbid. I mean I really don't see too many…read morereviews on yelp regarding funeral homes because the only way that you can truly give a review is to have experienced a funeral there. Well I did experience a funeral there today. My pastor's wife who I have loved and served under the ministry for over the past 20 years passed away and her services were held at this funeral home today. So I'm going to base my review solely on what I saw today and the treatment that the grieving family received. The funeral home is on the corner of a busy street. It is a unusual looking building and it doesn't really have anything about it that's a wow factor, but for funeral homes I guess expecting a wow is not really needed. Because the funeral home is located on the corner of a busy street parking is the biggest issue. Now they have provided a parking lot directly across the street from the funeral home, however this can become a problem depending on how big the funeral service is and how many participants are attending. Luckily I got there early enough to where I was able to park in the parking lot across the street and it was never a problem leaving when the funeral was over however you can see potential for parking problems. The inside has a lot of historical pictures of the Davis family who began the funeral home many years ago and it does serve as sort of a historical site if you really think about it and I found it interesting because you don't see that and too many funeral homes. It is a little dark and dimly lit which if you were already grieving and sad unfortunately that can play into your feelings and make you just a little more sad. The staff were very friendly towards my pastor and his grieving family. Unfortunately the seating was probably the most disappointing thing. We had a large party of people but clearly not large enough as other funerals that I have attended and they barely could sit all of us, so I cringe to think how they would sit a bigger party of people. they have conjoining rooms that they had to send people to because the main room wasn't big enough and then one room had a TV where more people could sit and watch the services on a flat screen. One of the interesting things I saw in the hallway were a collection of British dolls. They had porcelain dolls of princess Diana, prince Charles, Prince William and Princess Kate and they even had a porcelain doll of princess Megan Markel... but what was really surprising was there was no porcelain doll of Prince Harry which I found kind of strange. They also had another porcelain doll of princess Diana with all of these collectible dresses that were to be a representative of her personal wardrobe. I've never seen anything like that in a funeral home but it was really interesting to see. I will probably never have funeral services provided there for my loved one, however I truly did enjoy the look and the feel of the place, the friendliness of the staff and The collection of dolls was the icing on the cake considering that I collect dolls myself.

I can say that here that meets their mission. He provided a breakdown of the cost of direct cremation, which by far is the most economical (affordable) cost in the entire metro. Upon my research of other funeral and cremation businesses, where the line items are the same, it's just location and not necessarily the quality. Just my opinion.
