Hello! We would like to take a moment and say thank you to…read moreour very special therapist Kaitlyn. She started with us in January 2017 . She is amazing. She has taught Annabelle how to roll over, crawl, stand, walk, balance, draw and so so so many other things. We are grateful she has been with us throughout the last 2 years and very much apart of Annabelle development. She has been a great person and friend. She is always professional and timely. She Stayed with us while Annabelle underwent all her surgeries and kept time in her Schedule to continue therapy when Annabelle recovered. She genuinely cares about the well being of her clients and she isn't just a teacher / therapist she has become a part of our support system for Annabelle. This lady never gives up on her clients!! We are so happy that we still get to see Kaitlyn once a week and she is still teaching Annabelle new things. She is really good at her job with Occupational Therapy she has helped us so much! Early intervention works because of teachers and therapist like her. Keep up the amazing work Kaitlyn! We love and appreciate you! Happy Almost Valentines Day!! He's babbling, using a lot of sign language to communicate, and has started saying a ton more words. Having gone with him to every session, I also learned a lot about how to better communicate with my son and how to give him the tools he needs to succeed. The only reason we left Pediatric Therapy Playhouse was because we qualified for the free early intervention program through the state -- otherwise we would've stayed with Emmy! I would've gladly continued to make the 45-min drive twice a week to see her. My son became more and more comfortable every session and she made sure she evaluated his needs every day by dimming the lights, getting on his level and using the toys he's comfortable with. I will truly miss seeing Emmy every day! Thank you so much Pediatric Therapy Playhouse for helping my son!

Now, a year later at age 4, He's talking more, expressing himself better, and his confidence has grown so much. His therapists, Ms. Kenzie and Ms. Emily, are incredible -- patient, caring, and very skilled. But what truly stands out is that the entire Santa Monica team operates with the same level of kindness, professionalism, and inclusivity. Everyone there is welcoming and supportive from the moment you walk in. They work with children of all abilities and all types of speech disorders, including kids with autism, ASL users, and children who communicate with AAC devices. They are respectful, inclusive, and meet each child right where they are. They also involve the whole family, offering guidance and tools so we can support our son at home. My son feels safe, understood, and excited for his sessions each week. Their flexibility with scheduling -- whether in-person or Zoom -- has been a huge help for our busy family. I truly can't say enough good things about this entire team. They've made such a positive difference in my son's communication and overall confidence. Highly recommend to any parent seeking caring and inclusive speech therapy.

Around 4 he was almost right where he should be for his age range. We continued our sessions as we wanted to complete other goals with his speech. I'm so grateful to have Mackenzie as my son's speech therapist. Mackenzie's kindness, resourcefulness and enthusiasm are bar none. Which is probably why my son is always so excited to see her. I'll never forget one my son's first sessions with her, he brought along a toy truck. She improvised the session to include the toy truck that he brought, which I thought was above and beyond. Highly recommend!

VERY CHAOTIC AND DISORGANIZED OFFICE - POOR COMMUNICATION…read more "VERY SMALL STAFF" as an excuse for just horrible behavior. After completing the full evaluation process and receiving a recommendation for an intensive program, we expected there to be a clear and realistic scheduling process in place. Instead, communication was inconsistent, meetings were urgently requested, then missed without notice, and we were scheduled without confirmation for dates that directly conflicted with our child's school schedule. What was most concerning was being told that scheduling depended on whether other families confirmed first, despite already having completed evaluations, received treatment recommendations, and expressed both financial and scheduling readiness to proceed. From a patient perspective, that gave the impression that families are being selectively prioritized rather than scheduled through a transparent process such as a waitlist or first-come-first-served system. I understand small practices can face capacity limitations, but if a clinic is unable to accommodate the treatment plan it recommends, that should be communicated clearly and professionally from the beginning. We were just emailed that they cant serve us- and given a refund. While I appreciate the refund, the overall experience resulted in significant lost time, rearranged work obligations, and a delay in getting care for our son.
