If you value your eyebrows at all, avoid this place at all costs. I work close to Ridgedale and…read moreneeded to stop there for something. I also needed to do something about the bushy caterpillars above my eyes, so I stopped in to New Reflections thinking that although I'd never been to this salon, Aveda salons are generally legit and a brow wax is not that difficult of a thing. I didn't want them reshaped, just cleaned up a little. I've been getting my brows waxed, on average, 4-6 times per year for the past 20 years, without incident. Nbd, right? Wrong. When I was introduced to the esthetician, my gut instinct said "run!!!". She had HORRIBLE eyebrows. But I didn't run, because I'm an idiot, and figured that maybe her brows were so jacked because it's harder to do your own than another person's or something. She asked what I wanted done, and I told her to just clean them up around the edges and trim a little where needed. She then became completely silent, as though she was concentrating hard, which made me feel more uneasy. As I felt tiny bits of wax being applied here and there, and felt hairs being plucked from spots I'd never felt hairs be plucked from before, my feeling of unease began to grow stronger. I began to suspect, in horror, that this person had no idea what the eff they are doing. When she held up the mirror to my face, my suspicions were confirmed: the ends of my eyebrows were totally gone, there were patches of hair missing from each brow, and they were two completely different shapes. One of them looked like a deformed sperm. My full, beautiful brows had been reduced to what I refer to as "meth brows." I started to cry. She asked what was wrong, and I said, "um, my brows are gone...they're like, gone. They are supposed to extend to here, and you took the ends completely off." She tried to say that those hairs weren't actually part of my eyebrows, but were just "stray hairs." I was then whisked up front to speak with the manager, as I tried to pull myself together and not make a huge scene. The manager was very nice, and said of course I would not be charged for the visit. She offered to have another esthetician show me how to fill my brows in with pencil, but I declined. I KNOW how to fill them in, but drawing them on, where there is no hair at all? Like a chola? That is NOT THE LOOK. Now whenever I look in the mirror, I just feel pissed. I wonder if the ends of my brows, and the bare patches throughout, will ever grow back. Waxing damages the hair follicle, so there's definitely the possibility that they won't. And that makes me sad all day.

First you get a neck and shoulder massage with Aveda's Blue Oil, then a very relaxing yet invigorating shampoo, in a dimly lit, very inviting, area. I'd forgotten I was in the mall. Then comes the conditioner. But wait, it keeps getting better, a hot towel goes on the conditioner, so you need to relax for a few minutes, and that time is filled with a hand massage! I was so very impressed and happy with my service, and then I got to the register. Guess what? It was only $25!!! I walked out of there with great hair and feeling great about the experience.

I had heard a lot of rave reviews about hydrafacials from friends and colleagues so wanted to try it and this was the best rated location closest to me. I was not disappointed! The experience was so much fun, so relaxing, and I loved that the bed/chair? Was heated! The extraction part was a bit painful but I think it's cause I've never had such a deep clean facial, super excited to come back again in 6 weeks again see the results in a few days!

I had a Halo Laser Treatment in early December 2025…read more Let me first say that everyone at the location were great. It is the treatment and recovery that were very disappointing and painful. I was warned of the post treatment burning sensation and of the possibility of inflammation. Those both happened to a degree which I don't feel I was warned about. On day 6, I developed what I thought was a rash/infection by my mouth. I contacted my doctor since it was a Sunday, and was advised to be seen in person. Turned out that I had gotten shingles (I have been vaccinated)! I was prescribed an Antiviral as well as some ointment. I had also sent an email to Belladerm. They did contact me on Monday and offered to call in a prescription for an Antiviral. I feel like some sort of partial refund for the issue would have been an appropriate gesture. I will say that my skin tone from the treatment is a little better, but not TWO THOUSAND dollars better (plus the cost of the doctors visit and prescriptions). It was not money well spent. I did learn my lesson.
