I stopped in last week while shopping with my kids nearby to pick up my monthly bouquet. I usually pick up at their Sparks location, but we were in Reno so we stopped here. Three ladies working were super friendly and welcomed me upon arrival. It smelled amazing and seeing everyone busy at work changing out their holiday theme while I was here was magical. I appreciated not having to wait. I am obsessed with my arrangement! I love this color scheme and how fresh this bunch was. I can't wait to see what they come up with next month. Join their Vip club, it's the best bang for your buck and you get a fresh arrangement monthly.
This is a review for an order for my wedding. My theme was specially Black Baccara rose based. It was very important to me, I even had my perfume based on it. I started on a search for someone who could source some for me to integrate into my bouquet. I started with Sparks florist. The lady who answered was very kind and she put me on hold and spoke to a gentleman who she said asked me if I preferred "Hearts". I said while they are very pretty, if they couldn't do Black Baccara I would have to decline. She said they could get the Black Baccara. I paid for the order over two months in advance. They called and said my order was ready. I picked them up and started to leave and realized - they were Hearts, not Black Baccara. When I asked the lady at the register she said I must be mistaken, they could not have ever sourced Black Baccara. I explained the situation, and another lady listening from the back stated I was telling the truth, she had been the one to take the order. There was nothing to be done, Black Baccara could not be gotten but they would speak with the sourcing guy. I doubted myself but I went ahead since my wedding was in two days and the roses they had provided were in truth absolutely stunning and fresh as can be. The thing is, if you promise a bride something special, and charge her for that, it's not very kind to pretend you didn't, and not give her a chance to get the flowers of her dreams somewhere else. I checked my receipt and sure enough though the woman at the counter said it was in the system as Hearts, it wasn't. I was charged for Black Baccara. If I need to upload a screenshot of the proof, I can. My wedding was private and planned out for a year, with only us and two others. It saddens me that I talked on the phone and made the order while the lady oohed and aahed over the Black Baccara and how it would be part of our theme... and never be told they switched them, and to also pretend they could never have sourced them. it's not very honest. long story short - the flowers provided were stunning and much loved, but the service leaves much to be desired. I wish you would have told me you could not hold up to what you charged me for so I could have made my dream come true. it still did because I married my soulmate but brides, beware, make sure they are actually delivering what they promise. I wish I had.

They put together beautiful designs that fit the vibe of our wedding and had ideas for keeping costs down. I went through sparks florist for our wedding and cannot recommend them enough!! Terri took every idea I had and put it to fruition - these flowers exceeded every expectation I could have ever had. The bouquet was delivered to our venue day of along with the extra eucalyptus we ordered looking perfect. She also took care of everything!! She brought up the flowers, had them waiting for us, and put the flowers right on the cake for too. She was also so wonderful to work with, answering every email, and calling to keep us in the loop of everything.
My Daughter gave me a card for Mother's Day good for monthly flowers for a year she bought as a fundraiser for a local elementary school. What a great gift! Either Sparks or Smithridge florist participates in this program. I went to get my first bouquet expecting a small one but it was a full sized bouquet of beautiful fresh blooms you would pay $10 or more for. I was very pleased and the customer service was friendly and I received instructions on keeping them fresh. I can't wait to go back next month and see I get!
I am very happy with the beautiful floral arrangement to be sent to my best friend this morning. I called St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Reno for a florist recommendation and the kind lady recommended Sparks Florist. I talked to Laurie Riley at Sparks who was very sweet and understanding as she and I discussed my vision for my friend's arrangement. I wanted something soft, pretty and lovely just like my friend that would bring her a smile and happiness during this very difficult time after the recent loss of her husband. I highly recommend Sparks Florist.
I had the pleasure of using Sparks Florist for a few flower pieces for my wedding and they were absolutely beautiful! Terri was great to work with and helped me through the process seamlessly. I got my bouquets and boutonnieres from them plus a gorgeous piece for our arch. The prices were reasonable, especially compared to some other flower shops I had looked into. I highly recommend looking into them for wedding needs in the area.
The flowers that this florist provides are beautiful! They are the go-to neighborhood flower shop for all occasions, and have been a consistent business for my family to rely on for years. The flowers are fresh and vibrant, the bouquets are well made, and the flowers last at least a week. The bouquet of flowers come with extra flower food and care instructions. Additionally, I got a text from the business before the flowers were delivered to my house to inform me of the socially distanced (no contact) delivery. My only criticism is that these flowers are not cheap. My boyfriend called the florist the day of and requested an anniversary bouquet over the phone (not specifically requesting a specific arrangement or price point) and was a bit surprised by the price -- which was well into the $100s. Overall this is a reliable shop to go to and I do recommend it!
Outdated, disappointing, and underwhelming flowers. My mom got them for when my dog died and they made me more depressed thinking about the money my mom paid for the uncoordinated/poorly designed flowers. I could do a better job if I had just had a stroke. And the colors choices are from 2004.
Beautiful flowers and even better customer service!! I placed my order online but then followed up with a phone call when I realized that the friend's home was in an icy snowy location. Danna handled my delivery info so efficiently and was so nice and understanding. The delivery person was M'Liss and she was very friendly and accommodating as the recipient has mobility issues. It really made my friend's day, not only the beautiful flowers but the interaction with the nice and friendly delivery person. Additionally, the florist sent a picture of the flower arrangement that was ordered- it was beautiful! Thanks again to Danna and M'Liss for all your wonderful customer service!
Always five star service with Sparks Florist. Hand delivered beautiful bouquet right to my front door. I saw the van parked outside and through the peephole I saw a kind looking older man holding the flowers, waiting patiently until I answered. I told him they always do a great job. This is only my second experience with them but both times I've smiled immensely!
They provide a great service with efficient delivery. I'm told this is a family owned business and all indications are such as they really take time to make your experience a positive one. We had a rather large celebration for our neighbor's daughter and her girlfriend and needed several arrangements. Mind you, we provided plenty of warning, which I'm sure helped. The Sparks florists folks did the rest. While costs were not an issue, they were quite reasonable (considering our order). We received a photo of the finished products, prior to deliver. Once we were satisfied, they met our deadlines and delivered at a perfect time. We built the party around the flowers and didn't needlessly worry if they would arrive on time or not. What a relief. They are incredibly knowledgeable and happy to offer suggestions. We walked in with a theme and half-assed ideas and by the time we left, we had a solid plan that totally accessorized the whole event. The girls were super ecstatic which made us look terrific. We hired Terri at Sparks to provide flowers and a chuppah for our wedding. What we got by way of quality and service absolutely blew us away! She nailed every detail--the bouquet, halos, corsages, boutonnieres, and a breathtaking chuppah. The arrangements and centerpieces throughout the reception were gorgeous and elevated the entire event. Our theme was Sierra Nevada wildflowers so the quality of the flowers at the event was critical to us, and she not only delivered but went above and beyond. Truly unforgettable work. I went in for the first time today to browse their flower selection, everything was absolutely beautiful. The service is spectacular, everyone is so sweet and knowledgeable. The woman up front helped me put together a small bouquet right then and there for a great value, and everything was taken care in minutes. I ended up leaving with a potted plant too! I used Sparks Florist for my wedding and would highly recommend them to anyone getting married in the Reno-Tahoe area! I was not active on Yelp back then, so am just now posting my review. Our primary color was royal purple which can be a hard color to match flowers to. I worked with Terri Henderson at Sparks Florist and she was so great at letting us know the flower options available and what she thought would look best together. She came up with a very organized proposal document outlining all of our flower needs, which people in the wedding party would need what flowers, the cost breakdown, and details about delivery and setup. Wedding flowers are expensive in general, but I felt like the prices offered here were not too bad. Our original wedding date was 4/4/2020 which as we all know now was just a few weeks in to the start of the COVID pandemic. Terri was incredibly flexible in working with us during this chaotic time! We still did a small ceremony on that day, so she helped us postpone our original flower plans to a later date and just did the bridal bouquet and groom boutonniere for the small ceremony. Many of our flowers were supposed to be shipped from distant places and could not make it to Reno because of transportation shutting down during the early stages of the pandemic. Terri still found a way to get flowers from different sources to make sure we had what we needed for our special day! We picked up the flowers ourselves that time since it was only two items. We stuck with Sparks Florist when we eventually had our postponed bigger wedding the following year in 2021! Terri and I communicated throughout the year in between and updated the proposal as needed. She delivered all of our flowers up to Tahoe for us as requested; some to the house I got ready at, some to the church. She even placed the boutonnieres on the groom and groomsmen's suit jackets so they would not have to worry about figuring that out. Our church would not allow the flower girl to throw flower petals, but she could hand out individual stemmed flowers; Terri provided some of these stemmed flowers and a basket for our flower girl to carry them in. It was lovely to finally have everything come together as planned, the flowers came out beautifully! It was a fun surprise seeing how they turned out the second time around when the world was not shut down and they had access to more flower options, but I really did love both bouquets from 2020 and 2021. I brought back the vases used for some of our flowers after the wedding so they could be recycled, then Sparks Florist gave me a small bouquet of flowers as a thank you! You will be working closely with a florist for your wedding and want someone who has expertise, is a good communicator, and reliable. You cannot go wrong by choosing Terri and the rest of the Sparks Florist staff for your wedding flower needs! read more

I have had flowers delivered from Sparks Florist for several years and within the last 2 years, their quality has gone downhill. The recent delivery was not of the quality they were once known for. My elderly grandmother ordered an arrangment by phone, and upon delivery, it looked haphazardly put together, instead of the neat and tidy arrangments they once presented. Very dissappointing. read more

Last month, I surprised my wife with a weekend getaway to celebrate our 10-year anniversary. I coordinated with Suzanne (Director of Client Services) to create a lovely arrangement using some of our wedding flowers (pay attention, dudes!), which was a huge hit and very meaningful to my wife. Suzanne helped make everything easy and was very responsive as it took a few times back and forth to get all of the details lined out, especially coordinating from out of town. The flowers were fresh, in a lovely vase, and delivered to our restaurant on time. Everything was perfect! My thanks to any and all that had a hand in making this extra special for my wife and I. Sparks Florist has always been the best florist in town. We recently had a death in the family. My brother lives in San Diego and wanted to send us a bouquet. He ordered through a FTD florist and unfortunately the company picked the worst florist in town. That's the drawback of ordering bouquets for an out of town recipient, you're at the mercy of whoever FTD chooses to work with in the receiving town. That bouquet was inferior, and the basket was broken. My brother was furious. He told me to give him the name of a good local florist to send a proper arrangement. Well, of course I gave him Sparks Florist's number. The new arrangement arrived today and it's just a beautiful succulent arrangement in this really cool, quality ceramic bowl, with a snakeskin design on it. The card accompanying it offered 100% satisfaction guarantee, plus instructions on how to care for the plant. The difference in quality is like day and night. My whole family has used Sparks Florist for years, some will go nowhere else. They are truly the best in town. Thanks, Sparks Florist. We're thrilled with our bouquet and my brother is happy you took care of him, and us. He saved your number to use every time he sends us flowers. You have a new, out of town customer! My son and daughter-in-law live in Spain and wanted to send me flowers for my birthday. A picture below is what they chose from their website, and the other picture is what I actually received. They were very upset when I sent them a picture of what I received. They even noticed the wilted daisies in my picture. Very disappointing. read more

I received a text from Sparks Florist indicating a delivery was on its way! I wasn't going to be home and asked if the delivery could be tucked away until it could be brought in. The delivery person placed it in a corner out of the sun and texted when the delivery was made. A son went by and brought it in for me. I returned home to a lovely flower arrangement and a box of macarons My son in NY is one of the best kids I have! read more
