This is still the same nice place, although they were having phone line problems for awhile, those are now fixed. They still have the Hampton's old number. They have a friendly staff, they still have the pool, the prices are right, so support this business. You couldn't ask for a better location and it is near a McDonald's Wendy's, Taco Bell and two gas stations. The only problem is people may not think that they are open because their sign is dark, and in small lettera at the bottom It reads " I assure you we are still open". The company does need to fix this problem, but other than that, they are ready for your business!

The ice bucket was dirty and still contained a used liner with water in it. The tub was not clean, and the sheets appeared dirty and so thin you could practically see through them. To make matters worse, cell phone service in the area is almost nonexistent, making it difficult to contact the front desk. When I finally got through, I was told someone would bring us toilet paper and a clean ice bucket "as soon as they could" because they were busy checking in guests. While I understand they were busy, these issues should have been addressed before the room was rented to anyone. At that point, we didn't feel comfortable using the drinking glasses or other items in the room because cleanliness was already a concern. The dinner buffet was acceptable if you're simply looking for a buffet, but ordering a regular meal was disappointing. The breakfast buffet was also very underwhelming. Overall, this was not the quality of stay we expected for the price we paid, and unfortunately, we would not stay here again

The shower curtain rod was severely rusted and the toilet seat had been recently replaced but the nylon bolts used to secure it were the wrong size which didn't allow the covers to close over them.

That is definetley the case with this location of IHG properties. This chain is consistenly solid over the years so I wasn't expecting anything less than what we had. They in the midst of a renovation, but around a bit of dust here, anda paint splash there, it was still clean (much cleaner than a previous place in Wilmington). The staffer that checked us in was pleasant and efficient. Our beds were comfortable, lots of pillows. We had a little problem with the shower the first night (operator error, or rather we didn't know the trick for a janky tub/shower valve). We called and they sent someone within about 5 minutes. [It was one of the maids that had experience with our room, a sweet soul, very pleasant...I do have to ask though, how many tattoos are too many tattoos]. The breakfast was pretty well put out, two hot protiens each day, eggs, potato options, oatmeal, cereal, pancake machine, etc. Even the most finicky kid would not walk away hungry unless they wanted to, for whatever reason it is that finicky kids do things. The hot tub worked, good temperature, pool was nice, neither had too much chlorine. While you didn't have to walk through the lobby (like some hotels- why designers, why?) there was a giant window from the front lobby/breakfast area to the pool area. My wife was a bit off put by that. I guess you would feel a bit like a fish in the aquarium if someone was there looking in. Definiteley a good stay, nothing is cheap anymore, so $346 for two nights in a non capitol city in Ohio might feel steep, but hey that's what the market will bear, so all good that's good. We would come back if in the area.

Most hotels that serve breakfast is mediocre at best because the food is barely even warm and the eggs taste like powdered eggs. This hotel had real eggs and they were good. The room was a good size. It had a nice little food book with a mini fridge, microwave and cabinet to store food. The pool area was nice with a warm pool and large hot tub. They also had an exercise area that was in good working order. Lots of parking. The breakfast selection was also really nice. Lots of variety and options!
