Okay I was in the local secondary school and crisp sandwiches were really popular in those times, I remember some girls even using their bus fare too get this lovely lunch. I suppose you would need to walk home and get the exercise if you ate that many crisp sandwiches! Anyway, Lynam's is the local newsagent/ convenience store for the local school and the locals around Lower Goatstown. It has all the usual things a newsagent has but this one is special because it also has a post office! Yes, that's right this shop has that very Irish multifunction thing going on and very handy it is too!

There was roasted butternut squash, feta and caramelised onion on it. Their breakfast pizza was pretty impressive too. If Lynams keep on this track, they'll be the Mortons or Donnybrook Fair of Goatstown. The shop also doubles as a post office which is always a bonus. We went away with a nice Chablis and Fleurie, both of which were lovely wines. The area is lucky to have Lynams, it's not your average newsagent.

First, the price is right, as you won't find a better deal in town. Next, this college campus community has everything; from bars, restaurants, and a convenience store you're sure to feel at home. Also, UCD boasts a rockstar staff, and you'll find someone willing to help you at every turn. Finally, yes the distance into town was a bear, but I soon discovered that a bus goes from campus to the center of town every 30 minutes or so.

You can get some good deals and microwave meals to save time. Also have great homemade cookies for only €3 for 3. Many of their fruits are questionable in freshness and many of their foods expire the next day. Best to come here for a quick energy drink or candy. Full shopping here can be costly and their selection is limited. You're paying for convenience essentially. The service here is pretty good, with attentive and friendly staff. Some stocking issues have come up and it can be hard to navigate around staff bringing stuff in. The ambiance is cramped, much better to shop at a full size store. Can't spend more than 10 minutes before lines and floor space backs up

The store is huge with up to forty aisles all stocked with a colossal assortment of diverse goods to hopefully pander to your every need. The store is so big that I was at a loss trying to find toothpicks on one occasion, having carried out a far-reaching search I approached the customer services desk who were able to look up 'Toothpicks' on their system and tell me exactly which aisle number the toothpicks resided in as well as how many shelves from the top they were on. I was delighted by this considerate and very beneficial service. I was happy that my request was not met by a groan but instead empathetic understanding that owing to the large size of the store it is inevitable that a new customer would have difficulty tracking down every pernickety thing they were looking for. This store can really pride itself on possessing a plentiful amount of stock. On one shopping trip I was able to buy all the toiletries I required for my last term at university, a memory card reader and a hammer. Such a versatile range of goods under one roof can only be a good thing, helped along commendably by kind and patient staff.
