More a fruit n' vege stand than a proper grocery, this second capitol in the Kellys Chapelizod empire is a haven of fresh greens (and reds, and yellows...).
With hardly enough room to pet a cat, let alone swing it, Kelly's lets the stock out to breathe with most of the selection set up appealingly outside. In the summer the smell of fruit in the sunshine is heavenly, but squeezing onions in the blustery January chill is less than enjoyable. However the fella behind the counter is charming enough, and there's shelf in the back with wine and beer. The stock itself is deliciously fresh and priced more reasonably than the bigger, brighter Spar just across the village square.
