Kelsey is sensitive & conscious, and makes sure to include diverse curriculum and conversations (age appropriate of course) about cultural, physical, and socio-economical differences. She trusts the natural intuition of kids, and embraces their curiosity- even when getting into the "tough" territory. I always had complete faith in her to answer my precocious kid's surprise questions, that at times have caught me off guard, and we as a family learned many lessons from Kelsey's cool, calm, and kind way of approaching the world. My son is now almost 8 years old, and he consistently looks back at this time with Kelsey as some of his favorite memories.

The environment she has created fosters curiosity, creativity, imagination, problem-solving, engineering, and overall confidence building. Additionally, she connects with other educators for supplemental opportunities such as yoga and music. Teacher Kelsey invests in continued education and training, as well as a variety of certifications for the school. Our family was enrolled for two years with Little Stompers and feel deeply grateful to have found such a wonderful school and teacher!

I was so worried for my toddler to go a childcare center for the first time ever. But now, he has thrived so much, and wouldn't be part of the little boy he is today if it wasn't for them. I'm so sad he's heading off to kindergarten this upcoming school year, and leaving Neverland. But thanks to Neverland, he's ready. He has gained some good relationships with not only other children, but the amazing staff as well. I love that they spend a lot of time outdoors as well and eat healthy, organic food. On top of that, they are also an amazing company to work for. I would 100% recommend this company to anyone looking for childcare and/or a job. You wouldn't want to miss this opportunity on an amazing school!

I've known Stacy since 1995, and I trust her with my children as much - if not more - than I trust…read moremy own family. In the two years my sons have been with her, their social skills, creativity, and knowledge have blossomed in ways that anonymous, big-name childcare centers never would have been able to foster. My five-year-old loves reading and my three-year-old can name plants and insects I didn't know existed. They know the water cycle, the life cycle of frogs, and how tomatoes grow, all because of time spent with Stacy and her skilled, excellent staff. They play outside, learn how to tumble, use sign language with their pre-verbal "school" mates, and care for animals in a safe, loving home. I'm moving to Portland; if I could bring Stacy with me as my nanny, I would. I don't know how I'm going to find anyone even half as amazing as she has been.

The quality of care is the highest I've seen at any preschool (we've tried four others in the area), and my kids have been there for the past two years. There are always at least two teachers in the room with the kids. They offer nutritious snacks, and are sensitive to food allergies. There is a lot of outdoor play time, even in foul weather because they have a covered place for the kids to play. The kids learn lots of songs, social-emotional skills, and academic skills. I love this preschool! If you can get your kids in, you should send them here.

I cannot say enough good and wonderful things about Marieke…read more I have been a musical theatre, singer, and voice over actor for over 10 years. I have taken lessons. Gone to school. Private instructions. Done all that. Marieke is the only one that has helped me with break issues and learning how to bridge the gaps in my voice. She uses the Alexander Technique, and tries to pinpoint WHY we're having problems performing, rather than band-aiding it. She takes the time to LEARN you, how you think, how you perform, how you're holding yourself back, and how we can get to where we wanna go. You HAVE to commit some time, and obviously funds, but I think if you're committed to your passion, she is the best investment you can make in yourself. I feel so lucky to be under her instruction.

I've been a professional singer for many years, performed nationally and internationally and have…read morestudied with various voice teachers over the years, each with very different styles/techniques. Marieke Schuurs (Cantare Voice Studio) is the most professional instructor I have ever worked with and also the most generous spirit. I've had teachers who were really just frustrated vocalists ("those who can't do teach"), and I've had teachers who guarded their techniques as if they alone held the key to musical fame ("no recorders allowed, you might go sell my secret"). In those cases the lessons were more about the teacher than the student. Marieke is the exact opposite. She encourages you to record each lesson and re-listen to it, practice with it between lessons. She customizes each lesson, identifying exactly what your body and voice are struggling with that day. There's nothing "cookie-cutter" or mass-produced about her technique. She is incredibly perceptive and can fine-tune tiny elements of your posture, breathing or pronunciation to release the voice you always knew you had in there but didn't know how to make it come out. She also continues to train her own voice, knowing that there is always more to learn and that even the most professional musician can always continue to hone their craft. If you're a beginning singer who can barely hold a note, she's the perfect teacher to start with ... avoid years of struggle by learning good technique early. If you're a seasoned professional, she can enhance what you already do well, help break any bad habits you may have developed and take some of the "work" out of it, releasing rich effortless tone. If you're serious about singing and want to get as good as you can be, take advantage of the opportunity to study with Marieke. She's nurturing, encouraging and delivers results.
