If you live in Odessa, you've heard of Homemade Wines and you know they just opened their second…read morelocation in the downtown area because it is all anyone can talk about! We have been dying to go for a date night and gave into our urges tonight! First of all, we went at peak time on a Friday night when they clearly had holiday parties and lots of reservations going on. They sat us at the bar but the service was fast and always on top of things! They had plenty of time to answer questions and assist us! Everyone gets two free samples of wine (which are decent sizes btw). We tried Tres Locos, Pumpjack Chocolate, Driller's Moscato (our ultimate favorite) and Cabana Daze. They were all fantastic! For food, the husband ordered the pepperoni flatbread and I got the chicken cran-pecan sandwich with potato salad. Guys, the potato salad is a MUST! It will blow your mind!!! Our bill was well under $40 - he did a glass of Driller's Moscato but I just did the tasting - and it was an incredible night out with fantastic service and ambiance! I'm not a drinker and never a "bar" type person but this place is classy with incredible food. It doesn't even need the wine that makes it Homemade Wines to be special! There is just something magical about it! You have to experience it to get it!!!

The vibe is very chill and laid back, almost like if you are chilling in your living room without the comfy couches. Their beer list is always changing and gives great options to try new beers. The staff have been very friendly and helpful when asking about the beer flavors and profile. Highly recommend to come by and try it out. Again it's a family friendly environment, not an adult type pub. Rodrigo is one of their friendliest and helpful staff members. He also recommends good games.

It was a beautiful day, and the entire front opened up to their patio. Lots of free board/card games on the cart outside to play (it's been too long since I played Battleship) and plenty of various board games to play with a small refundable deposit. Most of their demo games are available for purchase too. No TVs, so hopefully people will actually sit, talk, and interact rather than stare at a device. Great mix of 70's-00's tunes. Plenty of in-house beers on tap + some local brews available too on tap. We were both able to sample several brews/wine each by our friendly server before purchase. Wife enjoyed her Rose'-Prosecco and I liked both the lagers I tried. They are cashless and use a token system (~$6-8 per beer/drink based on # of tokens purchased). Worth a stop! Support this place!
