We have not been in a Spangles for many years and just happened to be traveling through Topeka in a hurry Saturday and saw this one. The restaurant is really clean and cool decorations make it fun. I'm not sure what happened in one week. Last week we went everything was perfect. Yesterday we went on Saturday 10/18 around 11:30 am. I'm really underwhelmed by Spangles in general. This last trip made no improvement in my opinion. The service and staff are wonderful, quick, and helpful, but the food is not so great. I was looking for a quick bite that wasn't too heavy and was cheap so I tried their 3 for $3 menu. Spangles Hamburger, Pasta Salad and an Iced Coffee. The burger was a dry patty with ketchup and mustard, the pasta salad was okay, (and there was really a lot of it) but it wasn't very flavorful - kinda like plain pasta with a bit of onion mixed in, and the iced coffee was ... WARM! It was melting the ice and watering everything down! And it wasn't good at all. I suppose I got $3 worth of food out of it, but I don't think I'll be recommending them to anyone soon. Oh, and as a side note, Spangles uses the same grease they use for fries to make their chocolate sauce for the ice cream - that's what makes it hard when it cools. Blech. It certainly tastes waxy. Had the opportunity to have a burger for breakfast and was happy I did. Served hot, fresh and with a smile. What a wonderful staff at the drive thru window and whoever took the order. When you normally hit a drive thru you don't expect anything other than your food served in a haphazard way. Not here, it was served with a smile and a brief conversation of my morning and such. Honestly made my day and will definitely be headed to their locations again. read more

My pita had nasty welted lettuce on it and it was drenched in the sauce. I had my husband call and ask if I could have it replaced after work and the manager, Bert, was completely rude about it. Will be going to the other Spangles instead. read more

I went to spangles tonight to get my mom food because that's what she requested. I asked for fresh onion rings on her burger twice because i worked here for over 2 years and i know exactly how this place runs; and that the onion rings they put on the burgers can sit out for over an hour after frying in the kitchen, waiting for someone to order the unpopular burger. ‍ All i asked for was 3 onion rings put in the fryer for the two minutes it takes to fry but they still gave us the soggy left out ones. Ridiculous highly recommend you skip out on this store location as their cleaning procedures are no better than their simple customer service‍ but then again I'm sure that's how it is at all minimum wage fast food restaurants are..‍ read more

They have a big sign as you come around the drive thru saying they were voted best in Topeka. Noted that I won't be doing much eating in Topeka. The burger was a thin burger and over cooked. A little crispy and dry. The fries are like LJS fries with that nasty coating on them. The chocolate shake tastes like a bad protein drink chocolate mix is used to make it. It does beat Sonic across the street and really the only option along this stretch. With that I would stop again if driving through and hungry to try something else. read more

The Manager Brett Whitehead treats you like Family. The food especially the hamburgers are soooo good, I love the 3 for 4.00. And the Classic is a real treat. Brett deserves another trophy, Like he had. I have been to a Spangles on Wanamaker, and it was real dirty, windows and all. The manager acted like he didn't care. about the customer. Mcdonalds, hardees, burger king do not give you this kind of attention. You eat a burger from any of these they all taste the same, Spangles burgers taste healthy.
