He provided reasonable terms and explained the process clearly. His flyers and his website provide pictures and an expert design that maximized the items at the auction for our benefit. His staff also moved all the items from our basement and organized the items outside so that people could move around easily. Everything was included in his price and we could not have been happier with the outcome. Carl and his staff made this process easy for all of us. You can tell he has been in the business a long time based on his professionalism and quality of work.

He then was scheduled to meet my husband at their home to start inventory of the items for auction, and was a no show. My husband tried reaching him by phone, leaving messages, with no return phone call. He called the office and they said that they would leave a message for him to call us back. We were ghosted by everyone at Schoolhouse Auctions with no returned phone calls. If our property wasn't a large enough project for them to take on, then the professional thing to do would be to call my husband to say that, instead of ghosting us. We were left with a very poor impression of Schoolhouse Auctions and sadly we will not be able to recommend their business to anyone we meet.

For a package that weighs far less than a pound (was a three small brooches and two stick pins, probably between 6-8 oz all boxed up) I was charged over $40?!?! This package would cost around $5 to ship anywhere and at most $3-4 for packing materials, the price I was charged is completely outrageous! This on top of an already pretty high buyer's premium at 18%. Would not recommend to my worst enemy, Scheerer McCulloch Auctioneers should be ashamed of themselves. They assured me my items would bring me good money and they told me I could go through my items before they were sold so I did. She would not let me have some of my most expensive items (Capidomonte), (Waterford Crystal) etc. Then when I went to get my check the owner changed the commission rate! I could not find the contract at that time as I was in between houses. I got a lousy 1,327.87. That's it for beautiful antique furniture and collectibles. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS AUCTION SERVICE. Dishonest X-husband and X-wife so called team! They also charged me a 300. Pick up fee of my items. I just decided to put this on yelp because I ran across the paperwork today.
