This is a magnificent, rustic, unique, expansive establishment that offers a cornucopia of items. I tend to be rather understanding of problems, so it has to be a pretty extreme situation for me to flat out say I will not go back to an establishment. Here's my list of issues: 1) Their credit card machine was down. Actually not a huge problem, except when you consider that the only notice of such was at the other end of the shop.. directly away from where I was ordering. Oh and yeah, I don't carry cash often. And rarer still is the day that I have my checkbook on me. Also worthy of consideration- I was not informed of this until AFTER she had served up one of the ice cream dishes I ordered for myself and my children. Thanks, lady, you just doubled my expenditure because now I have to go to the ATM machine and deal with their fees. 2) The one ice cream cone she managed to serve me had the top fall off of it. Empathetic, but really not my problem. 3) *After* I truck over to the ATM and go withdraw cash at my own expense (yes, I probably should have just walked, but I had my kids present and moral yadda yadda, no stealing, etc) I walk back over to find that she's moved on to the next customers. Cool, I get it, but I would have genuinely appreciated it if she had at least acknowledged my return with at least a glance my direction. My daughter who has her ice cream in a bowl, now would like a spoon for her ice cream. She asks, is ignored. I'm now livid, but wait there's more. 4) Aforementioned daughter is 8. When this lady gets done with her other customers, I say, "First of all, could my daughter get a spoon? You didn't give her one." Now this.. this is the part that compelled me post this up in the name of all that is good and holy. Her response: "Well she followed you." OF COURSE SHE DID. We came back. Would it have killed her to hand over a spoon between scoops of ice cream for this other order? The other order wasn't complicated, they were in no hurry. Such a simple little thing, such a simple gesture that would have smoothed over so much, but alas, it was not to be. So, tl;dr version- Avoid this place, because the best case scenario is that their customer service is spotty. Oh yeah.. and it'd be nice to have all of their prices I dunno.. listed on the menu or something.
