The digital tap or the machine wouldn't let me pay for the amount so i asked if i could pay in two separate payments to which the worker said it went against company policy. It's completely understandable, but the way he spoke down and treated me was undeserving. Honestly felt like racism but with the excuse of "it goes against policy". MEC is always my go-to, but after this experience seeing that this is the type of people they hire. It's definitely not the first on my list anymore.

Again - there are some treasures here but there are also overpriced Costco items, you've been warned. The store is laid out in a reasonable way, and there is enough room to move around comfortably. I find the displays have the appropriate amount on them so I don't get overwhelmed. They are relatively strict about the consignments they'll accept, so most of the items are in good if not great condition. I like the sliding price, each items price is reduced after a month or so and then again a few weeks later - all of that info is on one price tag. Mostly friendly, helpful staff. I can get cheaper yoga wear in the mall in Kelowna and those yoga pants look great after MANY washings. Not so lulu. I'm thinking that the lulu quality has gone waaay down! I'm not the only person I know who has noticed the new pilling on the fabric they use or faulty sewing or a slouchy look (losing shape)in the clothing after only a few washes.
