**UPDATE** I received the refund on Friday, Jan 2. After multiple inquiries and negative reviews and escalations. Not sure if this is the normal way to get a resolution from this company but it's been resolved. There is something to clarify - the on-location staff had nothing to do with this issue. They were always super helpful and professional, showing concern for my situation. I have used the one in Burbank as well and they were really great! So it's unfortunate that this company is living in the past with their systems. NOTE TO MANAGEMENT - get your financial systems in to the 21st Century!! There are so many financial solutions out there that will make this a more customer friendly process. Look into it! read more

I have NEVER in my life dealt with an establishment this disorganized, unprofessional, and blatantly disrespectful with other people's money. I rented an office space that I never even used. I was physically present THREE times. Three. The only thing I did was move their filthy, dirt-stained furniture around so I didn't have to look at it. The chairs looked like they had been dragged through a swamp and then tossed into a middle school cafeteria. And the kicker? They knew they were dirty because they magically "replaced" them once I said something. Why were they even presented to me in that condition? Then -- AND THIS IS THE BEST PART -- I am now being charged over $1,200 to "return the office to normal." Normal FROM WHAT? I barely breathed in there. If anything I improved the space. I should be sending THEM an invoice. Now let's discuss the parking situation, which feels like some kind of social experiment. The woman at the call box seems to have a personal vendetta against customer service. She managed to leave a lasting negative impression on a CLIENT of mine in less than 30 seconds because my access card wasn't working. Spoiler alert: it wasn't working because the office forgot to activate it. And yet I got the attitude. Absolutely unreal. This building is the embodiment of paying premium prices for Costco sample-level quality. Between the dirty furniture, the surprise fees, the incompetence, and the unprovoked attitude from staff, I cannot believe anyone rents here voluntarily. It's giving RIP OFF with a side of audacity. I am now actively warning people so they don't have to experience what I did. Do with that information what you will. read more

I leased an office for a year from Spaces in El Segundo, CA. After 30 days, I am still waiting for the return of my retainer (their reason? "Upon checking your portal, it appears that your Bank Account information has not been entered correctly." Yes, it was. Back in 5/2020). Brandyn Hernandez... I am still waiting for him to respond to my emails/calls... If he would have, this could have been resolved fairly quickly. But, no... must be too busy making sales. And with that - be very careful when your lease is up. Spaces charges $3 per square foot for refurbishment. However, what's in their computer system (thanks, Sandy in reception for verifying this) vs what the actual square footage of the office is are two completely different measurements. You end up paying Spaces more money. Sure it's $30 here & $30 there, but when you add up all the extra money they're making off of all their former tenants, well... I'm sure it's a lot. I've been to many other co-working spaces and I can honestly say Spaces has one of the best experiences for people looking for a co-working space. The staff is incredibly friendly and always moving to make sure everything is neat and tidy. Massive shoutout to Ryan, Brandyn & Lani for keeping the common area clean and tidy. The FREE coffee & their snack machine is also a great addition to the space + the abundance of restaurants around the area is really neat. (Chipotle, Five Guys, Mediterranean, Rubios, The Habit...) Good location, friendly staff, ample space, clean bathrooms and a shower! Unfortunately, they don't tell you that you have to pay for parking nor are they upfront about pricing on their site. Also if you want a basic membership, you don't get 24 hour access. This is despite the website stating under the membership section: "Spaces has all the spaces you'll need, available 24 hours a day." There is zero mention that you must at least purchase the dedicated desk option to receive that amenity. So I got brought in with a lie, then they tried to upsell me so I could get the access that THEY ADVERTISED! Even after I pointed this out, they were unwilling to budge. It should be noted that this was months ago. Unfortunately, the website has remained unchanged, so the false and misleading information is still there. It's really too bad, because I liked the aesthetic, the employees were friendly, and the space was clean. Unfortunately, if a company is going to use dishonest sales tactics to get me to sign up, I have very little reason to trust them going forward. I get that there are sales goals to be reached, but don't lie to or mislead potential clients. It's simply not a good way to start a professional relationship. read more

Just wrapped up a long day of multiple corporate meetings. The staff at Spaces El Segundo - Ryan, Joe, Megan and others - were amazing. We definitely challenged the Spaces team with their first ever large group meeting with a long list of requirements - onsite photo truck, multiple meetings, catering order deliveries, signage, technology requirements, car loads of supplies, repetitive coffee requests, etc. Ryan was there at every step to be sure we were well taken care of! I know Ryan had some challenges with building management, but absolutely kept us his priority and focus. He went above and beyond! At the end of a very long day, as I was starting to pack up, I walk out to the lobby to find Ryan & staff rolling a festive cart through the building offering tenants a well deserved happy hour amenity. Apparently it's a Friday ritual. How fun is that!? Kudos to a job well done and creating such a great vibe @ Spaces El Segundo! read more
