Afterward, Hop & Vine made the most sense since it was just a few minutes walk away. Had some really great wine and snacks here, specifically the house made jalapeno poppers were delicious. Peter Martin wowed the cozy-sized crowd with his electric guitar and vocals, playing a range of songs, including instrumentals for hits like Ed Sheeran's Thinking Out Loud. He played till 7pm, an hour later than the listed time for Second Saturday on The Alameda. Many of these artists did a lot of folksy music and renditions of songs, and I was loving it. My final stop for the night was J. Lohr Vineyards, the only one with live music later in the evening on this day, two hours of duets and harmony by the Complements... so many covers on the keyboard, guitar, and vocals including How Deep is Your Love, Don't Wanna Miss a Thing, Hotel California, Your Song, Can't Help Falling in Love, Take On Me, and I Wanna Dance With Somebody. I was able to experience so much in just a few hours. Even without stops at the tattoo parlor, coffee shop, or pancake house (other spots that had live music on this Second Saturday as listed on the schedule), I was more than satisfied with my visit to this event. It literally went like this: B: "I have that day available" Me: "excellent. Can I give you a deposit?" B: "no need. You can pay me the day of. See you then!" A few days prior to the event, I got a little ...control freaky-deaky and made contact just to confirm cuz let's face it.. it's hard to find business people so equally laid back yet with absolutely no detail left undone. But that is exactly how it was with Bruce. His equipment is top-notch -- Sound, lighting, etc. His attitude is warm and friendly and his song list is AMAZING. He showed up when he said he would (2 hours prior to go time for set-up). He takes care of everything. He brings pens, song slips, multiple song books by artist and song title... and he works a great rotation. He seems to really enjoy what he does. Our party was extremely happy with Bruce and we definitely will book with him again for another event. Very professional.

We were able to grab a variety of items for lunch including iced tea and coffee beverages from Travelin' Tom's Coffee of Mountain View, a yummy quesadilla from El Viejon, and a tasty sandwich from Chick N Bros food truck. If there's anything I think could make this place better, it's grass. But I understand, not every park or plaza can offer this. It's a beautiful venue nonetheless, for community events and the arts.

This particular evening, I saw a friend performing in "shaking the mess out of misery! "They had great acoustics in this particular performance, but not too much singing in the actual show itself so more of a play and a great story for young women to see how things were different from the 1940s or 50s until now! I love how this particular play had the proper lingo and accents of the era and that southern hospitality sound!! I had to look up a couple of the words, but the play, and the overall meaning itself was great!! As we left at the performance, and actually started raining and they're beautiful open area outside/the front of the Mexican heritage. Plaza glistened and gleamed with lights!
