Automatic 5 stars!!!, for providing free concerts to the downtown community - and having them outdoors to allow people to spread out during covid - And free water bottles too for the hot summer day.

Fantastic orchestra and chorale! We had a wonderful opportunity to take our little one to the CineConcerts series at the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts this October 2017, featuring the third Harry Potter film: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. The full film plays on a screen spanning the width of the stage to musical scores composed by John Williams. With conductor Jeffrey Schindler at the helm, each film piece is performed by a large ensemble, consisting of an 86-piece orchestra and a 51-person chorale in sync to the movie projected above them. Fun and educational experience to share with our 6 year old to see what a symphony entails. She remained fully engaged and in awe of the large production involved for the symphony's 3 hour duration. We look forward to seeing the Symphony Silicon Valley again for the fourth Harry Potter CineConcerts series coming in April 2018.

When I asked about purchasing a local cider they carried I was given directions to the maker, what time they opened, and who I should talk to when I get there. Now that's going above and beyond. There was a nice variety of drinks and they were delicious. I loved the layout of the venue very intimate with the stage but still tons of standing room and if you didn't want to be inside with the crowd there was a tv with the ample outside seating where you could watch the band. The bathrooms were very spacious and super clean. The little taco stand in the back was perfect too. The tacos were delicious. I wish we had a place just like Moe's in Sacramento . I will definitely come to Moe's again next time in town.

He asked for my ID despite not asking any of my other family members, even though it was obvious I had arrived with them. That immediately made me question why I was being treated differently due to his tone and professionalism. Throughout the event, he continued staring me down in a way that felt intimidating and unnecessary. Then, after already announcing that there were 15 minutes left before closing, he approached me again and told me I needed to finish my drink right then. The tone and approach felt aggressive and disrespectful. I understand security has a job to do, but there is a professional and respectful way to interact with people. Instead, I left feeling targeted as a Latina, uncomfortable, and unwelcome at an event that was supposed to be about celebrating community and culture.

It's nice and warm out in the late afternoon, but can get cold and windy once the sun goes down. They have two restaurants and a concession stand for food and drinks. For performance nights they open up a few bars. There are some spectacular views from different part of the property. I love that there are different areas to lounge and enjoy your food and drinks. The service is friendly and informative. If you're there for a performance you should arrive early for the best parking spots. Also be aware there are several steep inclines and declines on the property. If you have any issues with walking it might be a challenge as some areas are uneven. But they do offer golf cart rides to and from the parking lot to the main plaza as well as to the amphitheater. You just need to ask an employee nearby. There are no bad seats in the amphitheater from what I could tell. The sound is amazing, but can get loud for those sensitive to loud music. I would love to go back and see more performances at that venue and maybe try one of their restaurants.

We had to purchase tickets for each add-on, paying for them in advance with no refunds. I would not recommend either! Details below. Overlook Luxury Lounge: The description stated the 2 amenities of "Priority Entry (30 minutes before doors) to the lounge" and "Expedited Entry (Skip the Line) any time after doors". Both of these were false advertisement. None of the check-in staff knew anything about the Overlook Luxury Lounge deal and, thus, we ended up waiting and going through the same long line as everyone else. The offer also listed the amenity of "One (1) complimentary welcome drink" which I imagined it to be a nice hand-mixed cocktail that lives up to the "Luxury Lounge" label. It was almost a joke when I found out the "welcome drink" is a cheap can of cocktail or beer. How is this "Luxury" and what type of "welcome" that is?!! Chateau La Cresta Dinner: They tempt you to purchase this dinner option by showing you a photo of the dining Terrace with spectacular views. What they hide from you is that all the tables with good views are reserved for others who are on different package plans, or of some special designation. This means you get assigned one of the worst tables, furthest from the views, no matter how early you show up. This is a total dishonesty. For transparency they could have highlighted the section where your table will be at on the photo, or whatever else that would help you make an informative decision on whether you want to dine there. Learning about their biased & non-transparent system upon arrival, after you've committed by purchasing the tickets, is a big disappointment. As for the food, it was Ok but nothing special. Definitely not worth the cost. The service was rushed. You had to order all 3 items (dessert included) from the pre-fixe menu right away. My 2nd course came while I was half way through my 1st course. Conclusion Very disappointing experience with the add-ons. I would've liked to give it zero star. But since I'm forced to give a star, it will be for the nice staff, beautiful theater, and spectacular performance! I will still go to The Mountain Winery's concerts but will never again purchase any add-on :)

And not just musicians, but there are local artists items for sale in the front shop; there is a podcast growing out of this location; and there is lots of mentoring, growth, inspiration, and the what every artist looks for, great after hour hangs with like minded folx. I'm a fan of the space because the acoustics are always just right, and the lighting is vibrantly cozy. There is no bad seat in the house, and I can always find a place to slink into the back drop of events, even though it's hard to show up here and not engage in some friendly conversation with the regulars. It's the way my artist friends rave about this place that also makes me recommend it to anyone looking for a new venue to hear local music, or tell visiting artists about it. I feel confident that you are going to watch a quality show, have a good time, drink some REALLY good beer, and if you like tater tots, order The King Tut tots (they always hit for me). But in all seriousness, this is a venue that is more than just an establishment. So I'm curious if it also serves as a meeting place for community groups. I'd love to see this place used to really bring all walks of life together, not just those who are musically inclined, artistic, or a consumer of the two. Because there is something magical about the history behind SLG Art Boutiki & Gallery's inception, and the walls are full of tales that need to be told to keep its story alive in San Jose. Please check out a show here in 2025, visit the gallery, listen to the podcast, and tell me if I'm wrong for having a fond attachment to this place. I bet you'll find a new hidden gem to gush about, too.
