Was going well until something was thrown from the upper section incredibly fast at my friends head. She was cupping her head with her hand, pulled it back and was gushing blood. The people helping were nice but incredibly slow moving. I also was kept from her, they hid her in a coat closet, so had to argue my way back there. It's not safe here. We ended up in the ambulance and hospital for the night. Even the hospital said to file something against space bar, but she didn't want to. Something needing fixed by Space Bar is to get rid of those hard, thick plastic cups ... thin plastic is used for a reason. She said it felt like glass. We never could find the blunt object because of how crowded and dark it is. Thick plastic had the same effect that glass would've. If you had thin plastic instead, this would not have happened. If I were hit, I would've gone right to the police so maybe you should change this issue before someone else files. read more

They changed the price before we got in, promising to let us in for free or a maximum of 5 euros. We got there, we were let in with the group and then let in, and must quicker than quickly kicked out. They asked us to pay 40 euros per person just to enter which is absolutely absurd for a club playing spotify's Rap Caviar. If you want to listen to Cardi B's "Up" play it yourself on the way to another club. Don't go here it's ridiculous. Don't trust the promoter "Trust" or his friend Nico, they'll use you for a free cigarette and expect a tax of at least 35€. -Let me just add, if you weren't already convinced to go elsewhere. I went to this club as an optional with my Contiki group. As such, I assumed it would be safe. When we arrived the club was completely empty. It was just our Contiki group for the time being. I got my drink directly from the bartender and never let it out of my sight or hand. I was just 2 sips in to my second drink when I became weak and couldn't feel my body. I was drugged/roofied at this club and being that there was no one there and the drink never left my hand, It's safe to say the bartenders are drugging tourists. I thought it was weird that the 3 bartenders had their back turned toward us as they were making our drinks but didn't think much of it at the time. A handful of us that night were roofied. My guess is the bartenders do this to rob tourists. The first room in this club is karaoke , everyone gets a drinking card, and you pay before you leave, it's a pretty cool system so that the bartenders don't steal money's I guess. Lol Anyways, the club was clean, fun crowed, friendly staff, for an American who clubs regularly, this place blew the California clubs out the water, the next room up is a huge space electronic disco! Hence the name. I enjoyed every minute, they played great music, I was even invited to join in at the VIP upstairs, the air was filtered with couches and you can only see a sea of body's below. One star is an overstatement. Words cannot describe the traumatizing experience I endured during a concert at Space Night Club on November 14th. While waiting for the performer to come on stage, pepper spray was released into the crowd. Everyone began coughing and gagging and a mass-panic quickly erupted. As I made my way to the one emergency exit (ONE!!! This is completely unacceptable for a club this size!!!), the path became extremely congested as only one of the emergency doors was opened and the bouncers weren't letting people outside without paying off their drink punch-cards (which was a ridiculous request in that state of commotion). Everything happened very quickly, but after being separated from my friend, I proceeded to be crushed between the crowd to the point where I not only could not breath, but I truly believed I was going to die (this sounds like an overreaction but I can assure you it's not). There were people screaming for help all around me and there was no room to move in any direction. Thankfully the crowd let up, but I was further traumatized as I saw multiple people being carried out of the club to ambulances and loads of people filming the incident and/or crying on the street outside. And on top of ALL of this, I come to find that apparently the exact same situation happened at this club a week before AND the concert I was there to see still went on. If this is some kind of way for them to crowd control, they are not only infringing on human rights by poisoning and terrifying their patrons, but they lacking any and every ability to make competent decisions in running a high-capacity venue. I am so glad I survived so I can live the rest of my life NEVER returning to Space. 0/100. Would NOT recommend. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS I'm with a huge group of americans that came to Florence so we decided to go to this club. My friend ordered a drink and a shot, in which minutes later she became belligerent and unable to walk and see. She was clearly drugged/roofied in this club and the management did nothing about it. We then proceeded to leave the club so we could get her to the hospital, and the bouncers refused to let us out until we paid the fee for the drinks. Three other girls from our group were drugged that night as well. Not one person who worked at the club agreed to help us, and were extremely rude and disrespectful considering the situation. This club is one of the biggest jokes I've ever seen, and I warn everyone to never go to this place. Regardless if it was a group of people or the bartenders drugging young american girls, they choose to not handle it and shame the girls for what has happened. This place needs to be shut down. Upon entrance, the bouncers requested a high fee from us and after we denied them and walked away, the bouncers were begging us to come in because they desperately needed people in their empty club. The music was so bad and everyone in there could have easily been 12 years old. We decided to leave this middle school dance, but to our dismay the bouncers and managers would not let one of our friends out and told her she has to pay 50 euros if she wanted to leave. I was hesitant to go to Space Club after reading the reviews, but I'm so glad I decided to go because it was the best club I've been to in Europe so far! You do have to pay an entrance fee but a drink is included with that. You get a stamp card for drinks and pay for everything at the end which is nice. The place was crowded but not too packed with a big dance floor, lights, and an awesome DJ. I showed up on a Saturday at 2AM and it was super lit. Only 8€ for a cocktail and 5€ for a shot. If you're looking for a place to drink, dance, and listen to a good DJ in Florence, this is the place to go. read more

If there was an option to give this place a 0 star rating, I would. To start off, this place has not been open since the beginning of covid- in 2020. We came here last night on the re-opening, we got in fine, had no problems until we got to the bar. We were told when we walked in that we got a free drink with our stamp card. The bartenders were the worst people we have ever encountered. The first girl we got served by shunned us away with her hand after simply asking for a shot of vodka and a vodka Red Bull (with our ticket that we were told we had free drinks on). The bartender stamped our cards multiple times, but we had no clue what it meant because this was our first time at this establishment. The second terrible encounter we had was with the male bartender. We ordered our drinks after waiting 45 minutes at the bar and because their service is so slow I could've walked to the other side of town and back before I got my drink made. We then tried to pay with euros/ credit card and the bartender got so mad at us and told us "shut the fuck and listen to me." Telling us we couldn't pay with anything but our stamp cards, and told us our cards were fully stamped- even though we only got on drink- technically ..considering we were told we had a free drink. The bartender then TOOK away my stamp card and did not give it back to me. We began to get so angry that we just stormed off to leave, and as we were grabbing out jackets from the coat check station- I was body slammed by a male bouncer, telling me I could not leave until I went to pay. We walked to the pay station and my friend gave her stamp card and they told her she had to pay 45€. FOR WHAT?? One shot?? That was the most absurd thing I have ever encountered, and it was all because the female bartender stamped her card so many times on purpose. I told them the bartender took my stamp card so I couldn't even leave unless I paid 50€ for losing my card. We began to argue with the employees because they did not understand anything we were explaining to them. We told them there was no way on earth we were paying that much money to simply LEAVE the club. We felt like we were being held hostage under our own will. We were completely scammed- and as we finally left so angrily- they forced us to give them a ticket for us to leave even after this distress they caused my friend and I. We will NEVER be going back to this club. Worst experience I have ever had in my whole life. On top of that- my friend had come here in 2019 and got roofied by one of the bartenders. I went for a Teen Night for 18 years and older. They were really nice about giving drinks to people who weren't of age and letting us dance all night long! Full bar, amazing dance floor, and an amazing upper level that wraps around the dance floor where you can have a little alone time of you want. They also had awesome karaoke!! read more

My Contiki travel group and I came to the space club to enjoy ourselves after a long hot day touring Florence and enjoying the Tuscan scenery. I loved the layout of this club, there's plenty of areas to sit and relax with friends, or places to dance after a drink or two. Drinks: The drinks here are on the weaker side, but they get the job done. Midori is my absolute favorite, I was SOO excited when I saw bottles on the shelves. Here in SoCal drinks range from $9-$13ish, it was about 2 dollars cheaper here. My tour manager, tour mates and I got so wasted.. excellent bonding time! Music: Here in the US, the music you'll find in clubs is either top 40, or EDM. Not so the case here, the music they played was so 2008. Most of the songs they played I have not heard since high school, music was a little behind. Staff: I have no complaints against the staff. The bouncers were cool and funny, bar tenders were quick and prompt, and the DJ made some pretty cool mixes. Process: Once you enter they will give you a punch card. When you buy a drink the bar tender will punch your card, and when your ready to leave the club you go to the cashier and pay for your drinks then. DO NOT lose your card or they will charge 50 Euros. Quality club with lots of SPACE. Personally think Space is the Best Club in Florence. Lines can be long at times, but it is usually worth it. VIP is worth the money and can amplify a fun night out! I'm astonished at the fact that such "club" still exists as I'm sure they've been reported at one point to law enforcement and also receive many complaints. This club definitely targets Americans, and they charge a 10 euro fee regardless if you drink or not. What kind of club asks for country of nationality and then asks if we're students???? I walked inside and felt as if I had immediately been transported to my 6th grade dance. All young people and the drink was TRASH. I paid 10 euros for PINEAPPLE JUICE. And then the cherry on top was when there was two women outside, one was completely intoxicated and after reading these reviews I would not be surprised that one of the club staff members drugged her. One bouncer ushered us away and told us he was a medic and knew what to do, yet he continued to give an UNCONSCIOUS INTOXICATED WOMAN WATER. I began recording because this man could had been the cause of this girl's death. After ignoring him we stayed and called the medics and did not leave until they arrived because who knows what would had happened to those women. They had been outside on the pavement for over an hour and nothing was done. We got cursed at - they clearly dislike us "Fucking Americans" but sure want our business. This place has disgusted me. Space club. In one word: boof. Both of the times I have gone there, I felt like I was getting ripped off. Whether it was getting told that I had to wait an unspecified time to get in because my friend "was too drunk" (he wasn't) or whether it was just a creepy and gross place I didn't have fun at, I never felt like the money was worth it. Now, onto the experience that caused me to write this review. When I was not allowed in, there was no line. No one was there yet; there was really no reason they'd be stopping people from getting in. they made it clear to me that i was not being held up because I was too drunk. they said that my friend (who clearly wasn't) was, and that because I was with him, I wasn't going to be let in. However, we were with 4 girls, and they were all allowed in, even though they were also with us. Go figure. After they finally let us in (I was told to wait "5 more minutes") about 3-4 times, I was not a happy camper to say the least. They then proceeded to ban us from drinking in the club (despite their recognition that I was not, in fact, drunk). Regardless of how idiotic that was, I let it go, and tried to have a good time at this godawful establishment. Long story short, it's greasy, the music was all the same, and the staff made things really tense and creepy. People (mostly men) were getting thrown out for doing nothing, and it felt as if they were doing it to get a higher girl to guy ratio and make it less creepy. Didn't work. As I left, they charged me €10 to leave, even though I wasn't allowed to drink and bought nothing else.
