As someone who's studying mixology on a more frequent basis, I had a great amount of respect for the bar program at Rex. Take a peek at the glorious bar stocked with spirits old and new. My first drink was the Old Pal, think a Manhattan sub dry vermouth for sweet vermouth. This innovative twist on the classic cocktail was delicious. Served straight up, I absolutely loved the flavor profiles and appreciated the balanced proportions. After that, I stuck with Ron Swanson's personal preference, Lagavulin neat. Hell, I was on vacation and wanted some single malt Scotch! Bartenders were equipped and professional, although not ones to invade our space. We chatted for hours with a friend we made during our dinner at Pizza Man. The cool thing about Rex is that there are so many different options of night you can have. Going hard? Stand near the DJ and take shots of Fernet. Staying low key? Sip a cocktail while sitting in an intimate booth. Here the night is what you make it. A memorable night indeed at Rex, I hope to visit again in the future!

There is a small dance floor but don't expect anything from the DJ, he was pretty horrible. Pretty sure between the playlists we had on our iPhones we coulda put together a better set. A little disappointing. The best thing flo has going for it is the atmosphere: it's gorgeous and it's all outside. I would say the attire is trendy. Don't need to wear any skimpy bodycon here. Throw on some heels tho!

Its tiny, packed with people, it gets hot (VERY HOT in the summer), indoor ventilation doesn't exist, some people smoke, the foosball table is sticky and in terrible condition, dance floor is full of sweaty people and theres no place to move - blob is actually a pretty gross place and I happen to come here very often. It has an underground vibe even though many people know about it and it's definitely a no brainer when you wanna keep partying after all the other bars are closed. If you are equipped with a female reproductory system entrance is free. If you don't you may have to pay cover charge unless the doorman is having a merry night. There's a stripper pole, but there are no strippers - why would you need them when there's an army of exchange students practicing for free? :p

I left my coat at the table and there was a bouncer standing next to it watching the table the whole time. Despite this, my phone was STOLEN out of my coat. The bouncer allowed our table to smoke inside the club which was cool I suppose unless you are allergic to smoke. I went to the washroom together with my friend, and she literally got PULLED out of the stall WHILE I was on the toilet because I guess they thought we were doing cocaine in there together. The floor is extremely sticky, I assume because drinks are spilled on the ground. This would make sense considering the place is filled to the brim with teetering drunk youths. While dancing, your feet will stick to the ground. My boots were very dirty by the end of the night. The dance floor is a good size and the lighting is nice, but that sticky floor puts a damper on things. While we were dancing every guy there was trying to grab at us and I turned around to some dude just dancing and holding a handful of my hair. Talk about creepy. At one point, a girl for some reason pushed my friend into a wall and she hurt her wrist. This is probably ubiquitous behavior at clubs, but I don't really know. It shocked me for sure. The music was a solid 3/10. Again, the worst and most astonishing part of this whole night was my phone. A bouncer was watching my coat, and my phone was still stolen out of it. Honestly, if you go here don't bring any valuables.

The people helping were nice but incredibly slow moving. I also was kept from her, they hid her in a coat closet, so had to argue my way back there. It's not safe here. We ended up in the ambulance and hospital for the night. Even the hospital said to file something against space bar, but she didn't want to. Something needing fixed by Space Bar is to get rid of those hard, thick plastic cups ... thin plastic is used for a reason. She said it felt like glass. We never could find the blunt object because of how crowded and dark it is. Thick plastic had the same effect that glass would've. If you had thin plastic instead, this would not have happened. If I were hit, I would've gone right to the police so maybe you should change this issue before someone else files.

They told me that they wanted to talk to me outside and I naturally said no because I assumed they were planning on jumping me. They didn't like this answer, and then I asked why they wanted to talk, providing no response. Then out of nowhere, one of them put me in a choke hold while the other three punched me and dragged me out of the club. Afterwards, when I tried to walk back in, I was denied entry and was told that they were actually the bouncers of the club. I did absolutely nothing to provoke getting attacked by them and they didn't tell even bother telling me that they were bouncers, rather than other club-goers. This place is dangerous and needs to be shut down.
