Passport cookie my fav!
Samantha G.

We used Space Cadet for our engagement party cookies and couldn't have been happier! We had a vintage travel theme and she truly delivered amazingly detailed cookies. Dina was very communicative and I would definitely hire her again. Oh and the cookies were also delicious on top of being beautiful.

Fall treats for physicians

Dina is fantastic! I have hired her for professional baking projects (I'm in medical sales) and for personal projects (birthdays and holidays). She is super communicative and responsive, and very detail-oriented. Her work is fabulous both in appearance and taste. I'll continue hiring her for both work and personal. Highly recommend!

Rainbow layer cake, rainbow sprinkles.
Ong-Dee W.

Dina made an amazing cake for my son's 6th birthday. It it looked beautiful and exactly as requested- covered in rainbow sprinkles with rainbow layers inside. And it was delicious! The cake was moist, and the frosting was not overly sweet. Working with Dina was great. She has great communication and provides tips regarding cake topper options, and how to successfully cut a tall cake. My experience with her is what I always hope for when working with small business- trust and great work! I look forward to working with her again. Thanks, Dina (said with a mouthful of cake)!

Birthday Cake

This was our first cake from Space Cadet and wow, it was gorgeous and delicious! The chocolate cake was just the right amount of dark, perfectly moist and the frosting wasn't too sweet and perfectly creamy. We all agreed that it was #outofthisworld

Everyone hard at work!

Dina put on a party for my daughter's 10th bday. She arrived with individual boxes for each guest-- each box contained 4 blank cookies (that my daughter had chosen), individual piping bags of frosting and other decorations, a practice and instruction sheets. She set up parchment on my kitchen island and walked the kids through decorating techniques. She has clearly done this before! We had 8-9 year-olds and 12-13 year olds and everyone was fully engaged the entire time! They were very busy, proud of their work, and produced beautiful cookies. They got to take them home in their boxes. And then she rolled up the parchment and clean up was done! It was such a good idea to hire Dina for this party. I recommend her very highly!

Harry Potter personalized cookies
Maya S.

I'm so happy I stumbled upon Space Cadet Baking Company's Yelp page. I wanted custom cookies for my son's Harry Potter party and was having trouble finding a local and available baker who specifically could do custom cookies during the holidays. Dina was very easy to communicate with, prices were very fair, and the overall sweets came out looking great and were delicious! I also asked Dina if she makes french macarons, which she does, and they were just as lovely. My sweets were packaged nicely and they were even labeled with all the ingredients which was very helpful. I highly recommend working with Dina and look forward to ordering more in the future!

Custom train-themed cookies

I worked with Dina on a cookie order for my son's birthday party and she knocked it out of the park! Great communication and outstanding final product. She is so detail oriented in every stage of the process. Order delivery was so convenient! I would work with her again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Dina!

I just took my first cookie decorating class with Dina of Space Cadet Baking Company and WOW!!! What a totally fun experience. I have been baking and cooking my entire life- I even have a published children's cookbook but I have always struggled with my sugar cookie decorating... I have watched dozens of YouTube videos trying to learn but my decorating skills have only improved slightly... The cookies I did in the class came out GREAT and it's because Dina is so organized and a great teacher! I loved her process and am confident that I will use these skills towards my next project. I highly recommend this class for anyone who loves to bake or just wants to do something creative and fun!

Working with Dina was so fun and you can tell she cares deeply about her work. Her communication about cookie design and fitting in with the baby shower we were hosting was so appreciated! Pickup was seamless and the cookies were a huge hit...like HUGE. You don't always expect decorated sugar cookies to be edible, but these were insanely good and there were none left over. I would go back to Dina for future occasions in a heartbeat!

3 year old's art work printed on the cookie!

Calling all cookie lovers, you should definitely contact Dina for all of your needs. She fills up quick because her cookies are amazing so if you are sending thank you's, hosting a birthday of any kind, or just want to enjoy delicious cookies reach out to her. I have used her for all of my birthday parties, sending home delicious cookies in the goody bags and my 8 year old did a Christmas cookie decorating class this past winter at a friend's house...and all were a hit. Here is the latest cookie amazement. Dina took my toddler's art work and screen printed it on the cookie for her third birthday! I mean come on, how impressive is that! She is so easy to work with, stays in constant communication, and offers delivery :)

Working with Dina at Space Cadet Baking Company was amazing. From the moment I reached out to her she was extremely polite, helpful, and really tried to work with me to fit me in her schedule. Although she is the expert, she really made me feel like we were a team in the collaboration process on the cake she made for me. I told her my ideas and she completely brought it to life exactly the way I imagined it would be and honestly better. Not only was the cake beautiful, it tasted amazing as well! She was super professional, and prompt with responses and answering questions. If you are in the SF area, please work with Space Cadet. It was the most pleasant and amazing experience. Thank you so much Dina for making my boyfriends birthday an event to remember!!!!

Cookies

We purchased a custom cake, custom cookies, and classic cookies for my child's 3rd birthday party. They turned out incredible! The designs were exactly how we'd discussed, and the owner showed me a cake sketch early in the process and the cake looked just how she'd designed. The communication process was thorough, the pricing was transparent, and the owner was great about making modifications based on our party theme. I'm already thinking about what custom cookies I could get designed for my own birthday!

Yee-haw!

Dina is an awesome cake artist. She takes into consideration all the details, sends a sketch of the cake and is very responsive and respectful. My son and his friends enjoyed the cake inside out :)

I'm always hunting for spots like this because I have a weakness for those over-the-top, Instagram-worthy desserts that look like diabetes in a dish. Like most places in this genre, A Buttercup is small, modern, and minimalist with limited seating. If you plan to go, aim for off-hours unless you enjoy waiting in line for sugar. The decor is cute and trendy, perfect for photos if that's part of your dessert ritual. As they say, "you eat with your eyes first," and when it comes to presentation, this place definitely gets an A+. The desserts look stunning and set high expectations. Unfortunately, that's where things started to crumble. It's like going to see your favorite artist live. You've watched the videos, memorized the songs, and paid for the experience. But instead of the electric performance you imagined, you get someone lip-syncing and barely connecting with the crowd. That was this place in dessert form. We ordered the Mango Bingsoo on our first visit, and when it arrived, we were surprised by how small the portion was. The guy next to us even looked over and said, "Whatever that is, I'm getting that next time." He shouldn't have. The Bingsoo looked great but was bland, and the "snow" was more chunky ice than soft shave. The Thai Tea Roti was also not what I expected. It came with Thai tea ice cream and sauce alongside a roti that was fried to a crunch. Interesting idea, just not the best execution. The sauce and ice cream needed a stronger Thai tea flavor to balance the crispy roti, and the flavors never quite came together. Overall, A Buttercup nails the aesthetics but misses the flavor. If you're here for the photos, you'll be happy. If you're here for the taste, you'll leave with a full camera roll and an unsatisfied sweet tooth.

Milkbomb sandwich $15 (5/5): Ordered with ube and hojicha in ube pandesal. This was delicious! Can choose up to 2 flavors to be put into bread of choice, and it's pressed together, then cut in half. The service was good, and I went at night when there wasn't a long line. There are a couple of tables outside to sit. However, it does feel a bit pricey and I hear the line is super long at times. And the matcha ice cream barely tasted like matcha. There isn't much decor to speak of, it's a store front only and no interior. And the sign for "reasons we don't give samples" is funny but feels excessive. I still thoroughly enjoyed it though and will likely come again.

I'm told on the weekends it gets super busy thanks to their menu of chocolate infused everything including coffees and teas. On the left to the inside is their full range of bars, which includes a placard with the location of the cacao and tasting notes. There are also free samples of everything, and the servers can help you with questions. They even have little tasting sheets for notes if you want to get serious and remember for future visits. They have a few tables and bar seating at the front, with more bar seating along the back right leading to the clean restrooms. Here you'll also find educational displays about chocolate and viewing windows to the roasting and processing rooms. Even though it was afternoon, it was so much fun to order things with caffeine just for the sheer joy of it. We had the chocolate milk, I had a chocolate infused black tea, we shared a special new bar, and were given their signature tiny cookies. Prices are reasonable for the quality, both the drinks and the bar. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, they clearly love the place as much as we do.

I typically don't add any sweeteners but was surprised at how their high quality milk had a little bit of sweetness (perhaps from the lactose?) that balanced the matcha nicely. The americano was nicely mixed to begin with and paired well with the creamy, slightly sweet and slightly salty matcha cream without compromising the matcha bitterness. There were two lines - one for the kiosk and the other for staff. Since the latter line was shorter I thought I could get my order in early but the lady was *struggling* to get my orders straight and I had to repeat multiple times + she ultimately had to ask her co-workers how to edit.
