We just took our dog Willow to Spa Wags for the first time, and I can't say enough good things! From start to finish, the team was welcoming, professional, and truly cared about Willow's comfort. Jesse did an incredible job grooming her--her nails look perfect, her coat is so fluffy, and she smells amazing. Kimberly, the owner, is such a joy to work with and really sets the tone for the wonderful vibe here. They even sent Willow home with a sweet report card, which was such a thoughtful touch. New location -- no visable signage , no one answers phone when asking for new address, no new address on voice mail, no updates on social media w new address. All easy fixes with a bit of foresight. Thank goodness the new tenants of their old building (which is also dog grooming) helped with address. They commented multiple clients have come looking for new location and directions. Grooming is good so rating based on administrative which is sorely lacking. read more

My pup kids look fantastic after every groom here! My girl pup (Milan) doesn't like anyone but her groomer loves her and she loves the groomer! My boy pup (Midnyte) isn't fussy so he will deal with anyone with a smile but they never act traumatized when we pick them up they're just clean, cute and happy. Owner Kim is also very personable and kind and listens to what I want. Prices are in line with most and I haven't been To Petsmart since discovering spa wags! read more

Exterior They have moved 4440 Marietta Street, Powder Springs, GA 30127. It's at the corner of Oakview and Marietta Street, about 3 blocks down from their old location. They're in the same block with Nibbles and Hand Me Ups. Google shows their updated address, so I'm not sure why the other reviewer said they had to go to their old location to get their new information. I visited the location Fri, Jan 26 and their updated location information was on Google (and still is - I checked after seeing the 3 star review). Parking can be a bit limited on that block. If you turn on Oakview and look to the left, they're in that red brick building that also houses the PearTree Home Florist & Gifts. Right now, there's a sign on the sidewalk (but not the parking lot side of the sidewalk) warning folks not to park in the florist's spot. I asked and was told the sign just refers to the one parking spot, the one closest to the front (technically, the back) door. I've always found that block a bit confusing. I think everything has a Marietta Street address because those are literal fronts of the buildings, but the parking and back entrances seem to be the ones people actually use. Interior I was in a bit of a rush, so I didn't have an opportunity to look around. Just like the old location, I will say that it doesn't smell doggy or 'uriney' (not a word, I know) which can be hard to avoid in a grooming salon. Lol. Customer Service As always, stellar! I love how responsive they are. If you call, you can always expect a call back, fairly quickly - and they're even more responsive to texts. Price / Value Pricing is comparable to other boutique grooming salons. Other * Hours posted say they close at 5pm. I think a lot of businesses post hours like this but thanks to my vampire like schedule - this can be confusing - so I'll post this note: I'm not sure - but I think they take their last appt at 2pm. * Because they leave at 5pm. You can't book a 4:45 or 5pm appt. But I totally understand how it would be weird to say they close at 2pm. Not sure if they take walk-ins for sani-trims and nails, but I need to ask. * As of right now, they no longer seem to have a website or online scheduling. I hadn't attempted to schedule online in forever, so I'm not sure if that's a recent development. * I noticed a few months ago that they've also started offering organic dog treats. * I saw a ND post stating that the owner, Kimberly, is also part owner of the grooming school (Georgia Grooming Academy). I asked - they are in no way affiliated with the grooming school / grooming salon now located in their old building. Overall Overall, I love the Spa Wags team. They can be a bit hard to get a last minute appointment with, because they book up fast - but that's true of any well-loved, well-known groomer. You can tell how much they genuinely love the pets and they do a great job on Gizmo every time we visit! Love. Love. Love these guys. Highly recommend. read more

New employee decided to end a 7 year relationship and the groomer decided to tell me I didn't have to bring my pups here anymore! After calling to check on my fur baby from my wife's phone a few times then heading to the store to find the new employee sitting on the swing casually talking on the phone to a friend! I had to wait which was fine but then was told by the groomer that we didn't have to bring our doggos there anymore after telling her the new employee sucked and explaining what we were seeing for the 40 min we sat in the car! Our dog came out not deshedded but did smell good from the wash! I've never in 7 years have a problem and the one time I did I was told I didn't have to bring my pups there! This is a shame and I'm at a loss. This goes to show employees don't have the heart of the owner! Tina and her team at Spa Wags are OUTSTANDING!!! We rescued 2 dogs (separately) last year... Bella & Champ. We are pretty sure Bella was abused so she is a little skittish of new people. From the moment she met Champ that have been best buddies. Spa Wags always keeps Bella & Champ together. It doesn't seem like a big thing but Bella is so much calmer and less stressed if Champ is at her side. They love going to Spa Wags and always smell so yummy when I pick them up. The salon is clean and totally adorable. It's one of the only salons I've called that doesn't make me wait days to have Champ & Bella groomed. My dog is 14 and she's been to several groomers over those 14 years. I took him to Spa Wag because he has been there in the past. I came home from the groomers after picking him up I noticed he had a cut under his eye. The skin was red and all the hair was shaved off in spots. I noticed that his right eye was red and he had a cut from the clippers not only under his eye but also one on his neck and under his neck as well. So I'm at a loss for word. The owner never reached out to me nor did the groomer. I sent a message to the owner and she replied saying that the issues with the cuts on his eye, neck and under his neck is not their fault. I will never bring my dog here again and will advise others against Spa Wags as well. read more
