This was my second time at Spa Piel and I can't recommend it enough. My first visit I had a facial with microdermabrasion from Roxanne, and a full set of lashes with Lynda. My skin was absolutely glowing and everyone loves my lashes. Just a little bit of concealer on my lids and I look fully alert and awake and ready to go. No more eyeliner or mascara, and the best part is it looks natural! I just went back for a peel with Roxanne and a lash fill. Can't say enough nice things about this girl, I really like her mellow and calming energy, go see her and your skin will thank you! The space itself is intimate and cute, a fun atmosphere. First time getting a facial (micromabration) got a deal on Groupon paid 50$ for 100$. Called for appointment same day was able to get in. Her name was Roxanne very friendly and knowledgeable. She was super sweet knowing it was my first time she explained everything she was doing. The process was an hr long I don't remember exactly what was done first but each time there was a wait because she has to leave the product on for 10 min she would give me massages. I felt she went above n beyond, making me feel comfortable. She was very detailed orientated took extra care of my face. Overall I love the place! Just need to save money for it lol read more

Having suffered a broken arm and placed on disability a month ago I've been looking for daily activities. I was super happy to see an Amazon Local deal for this cute spa in my La Mesa neighborhood. My clinician was Jen, I was running a tad late and felt really bad - but she was a sweetheart, totally forgiving- made me feel right at home. Because of the big cast she couldn't really do a shoulder massage so she gave me an awesome foot massage with a facial - she used great products, lots of floral scents, very light touch, clean space, and gentle extractions. I have to give this shop 5 stars and if it were possible I'd give six stars. First I love the location in the center La Mesa Village and second the wonderful smell when you walk in. Im not going to give away the secret scent but lets just say if the ladies and the awesome work they do here wasn't enough to keep you coming back, the scent certainly would. Amazing experience!! Spa Piel just extended their spa and it is gorgeous! Upon arrival the staff was very warm and welcoming. I just had a wonderful facial with their Aesthetician Denice and now I can't see myself getting a facial with anyone else! She made sure I was comfortable the entire time and her hands are just magic. At some point during the facial I fell into a deep sleep and that's hard to come by for this mama! After the facial, my skin was glowing and felt so soft. Not to mention the much needed extraction my neglected skin needed! I will definitely be back, I already scheduled my next appt with her! Purchased a Groupon for a $25 Brazilian wax on 3/30/18. Process to make my appt for 4/14/18 was pretty easy. The place is a little hidden but they have their own parking area. Denice was nice and informative during the wax. My appt was close to closing so it seemed like the staff wanted to get home. After the wax, they ran my credit card so I could leave a tip but I was charged another $34.80 instead (which would make total cost for the wax $59.80 instead of just $25). I also found when I got home that my full Brazilian wax had left a lot behind which kind of defeated the purpose. I wrote to Spa Piel concerning being double charged. They wrote back that they would investigate. When I asked for a timeframe, no reply. Very disappointing experience. Will not be back. 4/23/18 update. $34.80 has been refunded to my credit card. read more

I bought a Groupon for 3 hour long microdermabrasions. ($375 value) and this is tailored to those who are buying Groupons because that is the only experience I had with them. I called and made my first appt over the phone. It was a Sunday appt. I showed up about 5 min early, the door was locked. I called them, nobody answered. I waited an additional 15 min but nobody showed. I called and left them a voicemail stating I had an appt but nobody was there. I received a call back from them stating they do see I had an appt and they forgot. No apology or anything from them. Normally I wouldn't even go back but I had already paid for my Groupon so I made my 3 appts. My first appt I showed up and the first question I was asked was "how much did you even pay for your groupon" Unprofessional. However, Jackson was amazing. He deserves 5 stars. The second two microdermabrasions were only 30 min, at best, when I paid for an hour long session. There was a dog in the room drinking water the second session a majority of the time, so if that bothers you I would avoid it. I wanted to like this place but there is a lack of professionalism and I didn't get what I paid for. read more

I have been to Amanda for both lashes and waxing. She made my eyelashes look incredible and made me feel like I was a girl (I hardly have time to do any make up with my busy schedule). Chamille is amazing and highly recommended and I briefly met Lynda who is also a gem. I found this location after googling the key words "Best Microdermabrasion" and it was spot on! Microdermabrasion: Chamille performed the micro applying the perfect amount of pressure and the facial had my face feeling clean and fresh and smooth. She was professional, easy going and gave some great recommendations for future services but not pushy. Additionally, she does everything from brows (just look at hers they are amazing w/a perfect arch) and she also does lashes which I will also definitely try because their prices are reasonable and you can see the quality of their work when you go in there. Location is great - parking is ample (private lot with space).
