First time here and it was a good experience…read more This location is tucked into a shopping area across from Target. When you enter, they have a sign up saying masks are optional. One person behind the desk had a mask and the other didn't. The two massage therapists I saw that afternoon (including mine) both had masks on. You sign in and complete documentation before going back. My massage therapist asked a couple of questions and covered some points on the paperwork which helped me understand their process better. I've been to quite a few places before, but this was pretty nice. Music not too loud, my therapist was not chatty (super appreciate), and it was a comfortable atmosphere. All in all, relaxing and therapeutic session. I look forward to going back! Prices seem a little high but I may look into the membership to make it more manageable.

I go to the same therapist every month, she is a pressure level 4, deepest possible. The only slightly negative thing I have to say is she is really popular and books up well over a month out now. They then moved her to West Allis, I would prefer they bring on more deep pressure trained therapists to provide more options. Both the Elm Grove and West Allis facilities are clean, well maintained, and a very peaceful and relaxing environment.

Just for the record, it's been awhile since I felt a need to post ANY kind of review on Yelp…read more.. But, as soon as I got to work today I needed to sit down and write this. I just got back from getting a Brazilian wax and an eyebrow tint with Susan. Can I just say she's AMAZING. I had a Brazilian wax a year ago from a fancy spa in Brookfield...(won't say the name but it rhymes with Chazana...) and I vowed I would NEVER do that again. My hubby talked me into it, and can I just say it was SO different from what I experienced????? Ok??? Susan was SO kind and understand and kept me talking the entire time. It only took about 15 minutes and was so much less painful than before. I couldn't believe she was done! She is SOOOO skilled that I'm already looking at the calendar to schedule my next one. KUDOS CHICKADEE! Also, the eyebrow tint was perfectly natural. Last time I got it done I looked like an Angry Bird. This time it was beautifully matched to my hair. SUSAN... YOU ROCK!! I can't wait to come back, and I will definitely refer ALL of my friends to you! Thank you for your expertise and commitment to doing things so professionally! See you in 4-6 weeks! :) Michelle

I have to disagree with most of the reviews I've seen. I had a completely different experience with…read moreSusan and I would never go back to her. She was just plain rude and actually mean towards me. I felt like she was also in a rush because she opened the door while I was in the middle of changing. No knock or anything. Just opened it. I have had Brazilian waxes at 3 or 4 different places and this was the absolute most painful and she just kept tearing off the strips and had the nerve to tell me that I am probably one of those people that shouldn't get these waxes done because of how painful I said she was. It was her, not me. I never had a wax that was this painful. Then when she was done, I just wanted to get out of there so I hopped of the table and started to change. She had the nerve to say, "can you at least wait until I leave the room?". Seriously!!?? She had no problem walking in on me while I was changing and had just seen the most private areas of my body and she now had a problem that I wanted to get my clothes on as quickly as possible. This was about 8 months ago and I'm still angry that I tipped her so well for 10 minutes of the worst pain ever. I wish I hadn't tipped at all. I never felt so uncomfortable with her, this place, her attitude, etc. I honestly feel she was so rude because I am not a complete fake and was overweight at the time. I'm sure she is nice to everyone that is equally fake to her with Botox, fake books, fake face, etc.

I tried something new yesterday, an experience that came highly recommended. It turned out to be…read moresuch a remarkable experience that I think I need to share it. I spent an hour in a tank today. Huh? I stepped into a float tank where I experienced something called "flotation therapy." It's relaxation through sensory deprivation and believe me, it is relaxing. What is a float tank? Think of a shallow bathtub inside a phone booth. The tub is filled with water that is charged with Epsom salts. The salt content makes you buoyant so your body floats easily in ten inches of saltwater. I arrived early for my appointment because it was my first visit. There is paperwork to complete (electronically, welcome to the 21st Century) and I sat in the relaxation room to do so. The spa is a warm and welcoming atmosphere with friendly guides who explain everything you need to know about your service. I entered the therapy room and in a cozy area, I quickly undressed. I stepped into the shower and washed off the daily grind, then carefully stepped into the chamber. It is lit with soft, blue light and relaxing synthesized music plays softly. I switched off the light but since music is a major part of my life, I let it play. (If you prefer, you can shut it off or you can play your own music through your cell phone via cable connection.) The experience of floating in total darkness is weird at first, but it didn't take long before I could feel every muscle relax and let go. I could also clearly hear the music underwater when my ears slipped below the surface. (Optional earplugs are provided and no, my face was never near submersion.) I had no sense of time passing. In the dark, and it is very dark inside the chamber, I felt sensations of movement. The chamber is, of course, small so my fingers, toes and the top of my head sometimes contacted the edge of the tub but I felt a sensation of motion like I was floating in circles. If I had to compare it to something, I would say it felt the way I imagine it would feel to be an astronaut, floating around the International Space Station or a Gemini capsule. My mind was racing for about half of the session but in a good way. Eventually, I felt a sense of peace sweep over me. Others who have experienced floating say they actually fall asleep. I don't remember falling asleep, but I do remember being very relaxed and all sense of time was lost. When the time limit was reached, a white light gently illuminated the chamber, signaling that my time was up. I stepped into the shower and washed off the salt, then quickly dressed and returned to the lobby. For that 75 minutes, the world simply melted away and I was simply floating in space, in my own private universe. Afterward, I was totally relaxed and could understand how a strand of spaghetti feels. I look forward to my next session, too! If you feel like you want to try this unique relaxation therapy, send me a private message and I'll give you the pertinent details. It's a luxury you owe to yourself.
