The room was pretty decent and on our request they arranged us an Microwave as we were travelling with a toddler. They had a play room which had a TT table, a fooseball and toys for kids and a lot of coloring stuff. It was helpful when you are travelling with a toddler. Staff was able to communicate in English and was sincere. The cafeteria could have been better. But there were a lot of french restaurants around so we enjoyed our dinner outside.

Immediately upon entering you get the feel of an old French farm estate meticulously restored to its original character. There are plenty of rooms in which to sit and read, unlike most other B&Bs. Plus, the room accommodations include all the little details and amenities that so many other places overlook (e.g. laundry bag, iron, hair dryer, makeup remover). Exquisite 200 year old home with loving touches. We were helped with luggage to our room and found out we had the inn to ourselves on our midweek stay. Warmed up our room with our gas fireplace. Didn't use the outdoor hot tub and indoor sauna....wish we had more time! Unique bathroom was split between what was probably two closets. Relaxed in a beautiful alcove outside our room overlooking the lit snow adorned garden then took our wine down to the common area with goodies that were provided in our room. There is a fireplace in the common area and relaxing there Laura added to our bites with some olives...and a visit from her adorable dog. Laura sent us on our way with boxed leftovers as beautiful as the original presentation. So hope we get to return to this storybook inn next time we cross the boarder. Maybe in summer to use the pool! Beautiful start to our vacation.

Rather than ordering from the menu, I gave our server complete creative freedom and asked her to choose my entire meal without telling me what I'd be getting. It turned out to be one of the best dining decisions I've ever made. The evening began with an exquisite foie gras served with duck and a beautifully balanced fruit purée. The texture was impossibly smooth and luxurious, while the flavors were rich, elegant, and unlike anything I've experienced before. For my main course, she selected perfectly seared scallops accompanied by a delicate tortellini and a silky scallop purée. Every bite was expertly prepared, with each component complementing the others without overpowering them. What made the evening truly memorable wasn't just the outstanding food--it was the trust I placed in our server and the exceptional care she took in creating a meal that felt both personal and unforgettable. From start to finish, the service was impeccable, and the entire experience was one I'll be talking about for a long time. If you're looking for a truly special dining experience, I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough.

We didn't have to wait long to be seated even though there were six of us. There were so many appealing items on the menu that it was hard to chose. Our server, Chau, was patient and helpful (even when I changed my mind about what to eat). Most of us ordered non-alcoholic drinks (their lemonade is delicious and not too sweet) and their home-baked bread, which was cut into quarters, was hearty and delicious, especially with the fresh butter that melted on impact. I started out with the Gaspacho, which was nice and cold, flavorful and just a bit chunky. For the main course I chose the Lobster Roll, without the roll, with half salad and half french fries. The meal in total was out of this world, and if I lived here I'd be at this place frequently. This restaurant also has facilities for recreation such as swimming pools, spa and I believe you can book a room as well. The grounds are spectacular and a perfect place to get away from the city. This establishment was awarded with the distinction at par with the Micheline 5-star rating, and I can understand why, even only having seen a fraction of the facilities. It's a little piece of heaven.

Local jams with turkey pate, waffles with lots of wonderful fruits, freshly squeezed orange juice, and a crème brûlée grapefruit. I'm sad I didn't get to spend as much time here this time, but definitely planning to come back for a longer stay next time.

The location is ideal for Magog, you're right by the cute bridge by the cute park and beach and the awesome local brew pub is a few steps away and so is the Rue Principale, ie; main street, with other cute restaurants and shops. The bed was super comfortable, the sheets and pillows were so deeply cosy, the room had it's own clean, nice little bathroom. There is a fireplace downstairs in a common room that connects to a whole hallway of maps and guidebooks for the region. The dining room is full of light and set with lovely cutlery, white table cloths, lace curtains, so calm and sunny and lovely. The owner will serve you coffee and juice in a champagne glass and then a 4 course beautiful breakfast which by the way, she made. She's happy to tell you about the different jams and preserves, the local cheeses and meats she's using, etc. She's calm and sweet and generally makes you feel at home, without that awkwardness... Because let's be real, I'm not always a fan of the bed and breakfast, sometimes this can be weird with weird forced interactions with strangers and mediocre food made by non-food professionals. The Merry Manor is the opposite, it's the best, so friendly and intimate and awesome, and I'll be back for sure.
