He clearly explained what needed to be done and my helped me understand my options which made me feel well informed and never pressured. When I lost my job, I had to go look for a new dentist and I was really sad. I really liked my old one, but I looked out when I found spa dentistry. Not the fanciest or high-tech dental office, but the staff and the dentist is great and does really good work. I get regular and deep cleanings here every few months and my teeth is kept in really good shape. I also get composites on my two front bunny teeth just to close up my gap a little and also fix a little chip for cosmetic reasons and Dr. Nguyen always does such a good job and makes it look so natural. When he's done it's like .. what chip? The scheduling is always very accommodating and the front desk team is super friendly and helpful and helps you work with your insurance. I came in as a new patient with my main concern as some staining along the sides of my molars, from eating blueberries for a week. Dr. T said molar staining is not really important unless I'm working in the dental or medical field, which seems very dismissive. I told him that it's important to me, so please clean them. After using the cavitron, he scales 3 of my teeth and says cleaning is over. I ask him to scale everywhere which is an industry standard, and he makes it very clear that I was making a *special request*. After the cleaning, I check in the mirror and he cleans off all the blue stains from my right side, which makes sense because he was sitting on my right and can see it directly. Left side blue stains are still there, then the front desk tells me that I need to book another appointment because Dr. T is so booked, most likely for a deep cleaning. Their schedule in the morning is two hygiene columns, and this is with separate assistants in each chair. Smells like nonsense to me, I haven't heard of two hygiene columns as particularly busy before. The front desk then tells me that neither the cavitron nor scalers are meant to remove staining. My understanding is that a deep cleaning also only uses cavitrons and scalers, unless there's a magical third instrument or they want to get more money out of me. Then the front desk tells me that regular cleanings don't address stains at all. The whole talk sounded like lies. This is the definition of a regular cleaning/dental prophylaxis from the CDT 2026, which is standardized every year. D1110: Removal of plaque, calculus and stains from the tooth structures and implants in the permanent and transitional dentition. The experience with x-rays was not great either. I understand a full mouth series is about 20 images. I have already taken out 8 teeth for braces, my teeth are relatively well aligned. I am short at about 5'5 and my roots are short. However the assistant took more than 40 images, deleting and retaking over and over. I'm not sure what's hard about taking my x-rays. I have so many open contacts, but every image was overlapping contacts or had cone cuts. Then Dr. T tries to diagnose me using overlapping bitewings. One of the most absurd things I've heard. He didn't even request an x-ray with open contacts to verify. One of the most absurd experiences I've had at a dental office. 2 stars for trying to clean, I guess it's just business as usual. read more

This is my second visit to this office and I noticed a difference when I entered the office. Anne greeted me with such friendliness and sweet smile!! She exudes a warm welcome. Then after I was seated on the dental chair, Dr T came to introduced himself to me and cleans my teeth. He was super sweet as well. Turns out he just bought the practice from Dr Susan Lee. Although I dread dental visit, Dr T did an awesome job in cleaning my teeth. He added that he cleaned deep and remove all the plaque in case I reject the deep cleaning proposal. After the cleaning, Dr T has an assistant Jasmine to finish the cleaning with the buffing. Jasmine was all covered up with mask so I couldn't tell if she smiled but her overall demeanor was friendly and came across on the shy and timid side. Before I came for my today's appointment, I was thinking this will be my last visit. I want to go back to my previous dentist in Cupertino. However, after my encounter with Dr T and receptionist Anne, Ive decided to return to support Dr T and his friendly team. Check them out yourself and I think you will be pleasantly surprised!!! I've been here a couple times and have seen multiple dentists here and it has always been an okay experience. However my last experience was not great. It was my first time at the dentist since the pandemic and I will admit my teeth were not in great health. The dentist recommended a root canal and multiple crowns. The dentist also was condescending and talked down to me about why I waited so long to go to the dentist and asked me if protecting myself from covid was worth it... I lived with my immunocompromised parents at the time and I did not need to be judged for keeping them safe. Also, it was what it was at that point, the teeth is already ruined I didn't need more salt on the wound. The Root Canal and multiple crowns sounded like a lot of invasive work considering I was only in my 20s. I went to get a second opinion. The new dentist I went to agreed that I needed a lot of work but said it didn't have to be a root canal and multiple crowns. She spent the time to carve around my cavities and save my tooth and nerves. Overall, the diagnosis that my teeth suck was correct, but the procedures that they suggested were invasive and were easily fixed by another dentist without having to kill all my teeth. I recommend getting a second opinion if a lot of work is suggested. ALSO the teeth cleaning was not great. When I went to the second dentist a week later for a second opinion she asked me why it looked like I didn't get a teeth cleaning when I literally got one the week before from Spa Dentistry. read more

Dr. Lee and her staff are great! I love how Dr. Lee is so personable, remembers details and keeps it real. Not only is she an awesome person, she's a great dentist too! I've been long overdue to replace my front veneer. It had a small hole on the back from the previous dentist and you could still see the black from my root canal. She recommended a crown which I was hesitant to at first but I'm glad I trusted her! We switched it out today and wow, it looks better and looks like my actual tooth! 5 stars for the receptionist who were very nice and professional. 1 start for the assistant who took my mother x-ray which she said was so painful and uncomfortable to the point she was gaging yet the assistant asked if she was sick lol. My mom was not sick the gaging was a result of the x-ray sticking the stuff under her tongue. 1 start for trying to charge extra for general procedure that the insurance covers at 100 percent such as deep cleaning stating that their procedure has special steps which the insurance won't cover but will not perform the general deep cleaning that the insurance covers unless the patient agrees to the additional charges. read more

Work has been slow for the past couple of months. I didn't have the large down payment that she required. I told her what I could afford at the time, but she refused to work with me. I have always paid them what I owed. I did not have any outstanding debts with them. My record with this office, I felt Susan could have worked with me. I have always paid my debts!! This business all about the money!! I am a veteran, I don't like the fact that this office does not offer Military discounts. If it was not for me and my fellow soldiers, she would not have this business! I felt like asking her, how would she feel if there was a riot here in San Jose and the soldiers refuse to protect her business because she refuse to give Military discounts to soldiers. Very disappointed with the professionalism of this office. I went in for a tooth pain that was intense and I thought I narrowed it down to the right tooth, but it was an entire area. After x-rays and assessment, the male dentist couldn't find anything wrong. After a few weeks the pain lowered and I was able to ID an exact tooth and made an appointment for them to look again. They again took x-rays (even though I said they were just taken 3 weeks ago). The female dentist (Dr Lee) felt it best to provide a referral for a root canal. All good until til they billed my insurance for both visits as separate and not a follow-up. Now I am out more than $200 because they wanted to get the new X-rays and visit covered by insurance - even though the first dentist should have been more thorough. After my visit I scurried home to write a positive review, expecting tons of reviews already raving about how great it is here but to my surprise Spa Dentistry is highly under-rated! I feel like finding a good dentist is so daunting, especially when you get a new job and new coverage. Finding Spa Dentistry. I was so frazzled since my company didnt have much information for me about my insurance so I was unsure if they would cover my visit. Soquel was the first point of contact upon arrival and she quickly sorted the insurance stuff for me and was able to give me the numbers i needed to ensure i was able to get teeth emergency taken care of. The practice itself was so comfortable to be in, I was unsure if I was actually at a spa or not. When i wa finally seen by Dr. Lee, she was so sweet and kind. I broke my front tooth, and she was able to help evaluate the need of my dental health and get my temp crown in place so I wasn't walking around town like a crazy woman. She prioritizes your comfort by consistently asking if I was okay, and walking me through each step she took. They were very flexible and accommodating with my crazy schedule. Addie is always very thoughtful to make sure I'm comfortable throughout my appointment, offering water or a pillow or putting Netflix on for me. She is always proactive about communicating what she's doing and checks in to ensure I'm not in pain or discomfort. Dr Lee is clearly very detail oriented and knowledgeable and and skilled in her profession. She's done a lot of great work on my teeth. She's also very customer service oriented. She has a calming energy and goes out of her way to minimize the discomfort of more challenging procedures. Dr. Lee spent some time learning about me and what my dental goals were. The digital X-rays we started with were completed very quickly, and the doctor reviewed them with me on a monitor. She also showed me a notebook of various options for the work I was interested in having performed. Dr. Lee and her assistant are highly proficient and work well as a team. I came in for a checkup, but was able to take care of two fillings and a cleaning in less time than expected. Prior to the treatment, I was presented with a very clear dental plan that showed precisely what both insurance plans would pay and what if any out-of-pocket expense might be required. No dentist has ever been so clear about the alternatives and pricing options, and I left with a copy of the plan and a smile on my face. While Susan, the dentist, looks quite young for having been practicing dentistry for several years, she was extremely nimble, confident, and efficient - frequently checking in with me on my comfort. Thinking of comfort, her assistant offers you a massage pillow for your lower back while you're in the chair and a video to watch during your treatment. Getting back to the two sisters, probably 8 and 6: I had to laugh when I heard the older one tell the younger to sit still or she would have the doctor remove all her teeth. Hi Soquel, I am responding to your rebuttal regarding your property manager. I have no idea what you are referring to when you mentioned discrimination. I never parked because I was merely dropping off and he was at your entry and quite intimidating. I actually do have a handicap placard which if I had chosen to park I could have used for parking in handicap. However, I was just dropping my daughter at what I had thought would be a safe place, there was no one else anywhere as evidenced by your review of the recording. I was not trying to park or walk. This would mean that even Ubers would have to find a park which is very strange and still be harassed. Also, you should know,the dentist, Dr. Lee and the rest of the staff in the office that day, agreed that they have been continually harassed and were aware of this situation yet nothing was done. Thank you for taking us off of your clientele list. Obviously you and Dr. Lee and the rest of your staff do not have any consideration towards patient safety as Dr. Lee told my daughter she has to deal with him everyday. Also, Dr. Lee told us he was part of the property management, but he told the officer and myself as well as my daughter and the receptionist, that he is the owner of the building. The officer even suggested that for safety as Dr Lee was not addressing this problem, we should not return. As a previous business owner myself this situation is something that I would have remedied as soon as it occurred instead of allowing my patients to have to deal with this. This shows the attitude of your business and the lack of care towards your clients. The generous assistant asked if I would like to watch Netflix. I whispered "Absolutely". With the comfortable headphone's I was so relaxed. My first visit was completed on a Friday morning. Later on, that night got a call from a number I did not recognize. Went ahead and answered it. Low and behold, it was Dr. Lee. That blew my mind. She personally inquired if I had any pain and asked several questions regarding the visit and so forth. That is not the standard RULE from my experience with Dental work. I was stunned with Happiness. I felt like I received the VIP treatment. Their Technology is far beyond ordinary. I would definitely recommend their service to anyone and everyone.
