I think this may have been my worst pedicure experience to date. my tech was rude and short when speaking to me. My pedicure water bowl wasn't working half the time. I asked to move to another chair and was ignored. I asked her msmy other questions about my polish being old, etc and she never responded to anything I asked. She moved my too soon and my nails messed up and she acted upset she had to redo them. I was then moved again to drying station and I tried telling her the drying fan she put me at wasn't working and she argued with me. I had to get some other employees to check and it was infact broken. She never came back and checked on me. I had to go get her again and tell her it was infact broken. She then moved me another fan. I then noticed something had blown onto my nail from the fan. She once again never checked back on me. I had to get another nail techs attention and show them my nail. Instead of taking the polish off and redoing it, they scrapped it off and put more polish over nail making it uneven and ugly. I was told it would take to long to take it off and do it over. We also were never offered drinks or anything during our visit. However, I heard other nail techs offering their customers drinks. To be labeled as a higher end salon, and your prices being more than many others, you would expect a better experience and service but that was not the case. I thought we might be have been offered a discount but nothing was offered although I told the receptionist that we had a horrible experience. I'm in the military so I have to have my nails a certain length, after the person cut them I went to check if they were short enough and I was rudely told not to move or touch my hands. They overcharged and I still had to trim them once I went home since they were not in regs. Not even a week past and half of my nails have come off and I got dip! Since seeing Katie for my color correction, I'm back. Katie waa very patient and attenative to details. My color was so damaged, she had to take longer than expected. But she made me very aware up front, blocking her entire day for me. I loved the fact, that she made me promise to keep this up, scheduled my next appointment (making me accountable, lol). Complete waste of $90 ... My husband scheduled me for a prenatal massage because I've been in a lot of pain. The woman who did my massage didn't ask me about the pressure or where to focus her efforts so I didn't get much relief at all. In addition, she was super loud as she prepared products (shaking) and I could hear her chair scrape the floor as she scooted around the room... I couldn't completely relax. Honestly the massage didn't feel like any massage I've ever gotten (I've gotten many regular massages and 2 prenatal massages before this one)...felt more like a rub down. Pregnant women are looking for some help getting relief... This did nothing at all! Next time I'll wait until A Golden Touch Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork has an opening. read more

I left before the service began...my massage was scheduled for 1:45pm. I arrived at 1:40pm as requested. At 2pm - I asked if I had made a schedule mistake? The front desk wasn't very interested... the therapist came in and then refused to do the deep tissue I had booked because I have minor swelling in my ankles (hence why I get massages?) and a completely healed burn SCAR on my wrist? I had already done a 2 mile jog that day and an hour of yoga - I am 100% healthy - I left and went and got my nails done...oh well read more

Went to the Bellmeade location yesterday for a facial (stress relieving one) and saw Mary. She first waxed my eyebrows for me and then did the facial. The location itself isn't very spa-like or quiet (looks more like a hair salon - this is why 4 stars instead of 5), but I loved Mary! My skin felt amazing after the facial and my eyebrows looked great-she really listened to me about the brows. She's the quiet type (fine with me!) and won't be super bubbly or talk your ear off, even before and after the treatment. I wouldn't mind seeing what the other location is like, but would probably only do that if Mary works there too. I'll be back to get the dual exfoliation facial. Thanks, Mary! read more

They charge 175 dollars for a full set when everywhere else it is 140 .over charging would not have been an issue if they wouldn't cheat and provide a shitty service .the girl who did my lashes did a horrible job left wide empty spaces in the middle with barely there lashes. In 1hout 30 minutes she was done and then she told me she was running out of time .im paying 175 dollars for her to tell me that she was short on time. Wen I contacted the manager who seemed like a descent person she told me the owner agreed on fixing my lashes if I paid 50 dollars extra. Have u ever heard that a salon asks you to pay money to fix their own shitty job. My sister-in-law came to Shreveport to celebrate Mardi Gras with us. Because she had never been to a Mardi Gras ball, I wanted to give her a great experience and asked if she'd like to go all out and have our hair and makeup done. This is not something I normally do, but I thought it would be fun for the 2 of us to spend the day getting ready. I hope I am getting the names correct, please forgive me if I don't, but we both had Amanda do our hair, and my sister-in-law had Jon Paul do her makeup and I had Jill do my makeup. We looked like goddesses!! I personally had more compliments on my look than I've ever had. People walked up to me all night to tell me how fabulous we both looked. We felt like movie stars! I had a massage at the Youree drive location in December. First, my problem with this location is that the tiny massage room was located at the back of the building & I could hear the people in the pedi room talking and laughing. Also, it was near the door that either employees or deliveries were coming in and I could hear all that too. Not very relaxing. I don't remember the name of the massage therapist, but it was a male and he didn't use much pressure at all - just very limp hands (if that makes sense). As my first time at an Aveda salon, I was really disappointed. I also had my hair trimmed and that was ok - nothing special & if their products are so great, I'm surprised they didn't talk to me about them or even make any recommendations. For the price, I won't be going back. Hopefully, they improve some of this. read more

We had a spur the moment trip to Shreveport for my husband and I's birthdays. We booked a massage for 11 am on a Saturday, and at 9 am while we are eating breakfast we received a call. It was the spa calling and letting us know they can NO longer see us! So my husband asked to speak to a manager, BUT the manager refused to talk to him because the manger had to speak to owner first. Still have not received a call from the owner or manager. They wanted to charge us $125 if we canceled on them, but it is okay for them to just say "Nope, can't help you and don't have an explanation." I am amazed at the level of professionalism this company and its employees possess. We have NEVER gotten a message and we were super excited and really looking forward to getting one on our weekend getaway. Still waiting on that message! Oh, and a phone call! read more

Let me start by saying I would give no stars and I wish I would have gotten a full refund on my hair experience. I am new to the area and have had good experiences with Aveda salons until my March 2019 appointment. I asked for an expert in balayage to help maintain my current balayage that I have had for the past 3 years. I brought pictures of what I am use to getting of my own hair. It was even printed on a sheet with my appointment time "expert in balayage" lying on the hair stylists counter when I sat down. The stylist then took a picture of my hair for before and after. Turns out about half way through my hair being done, my stylist asks the stylist next to her pointers on how to do this. The stylist then tells me she has not had the balayage class yet and the other stylist helping her teaches the class! She has never done a balayage before! She tells me however she has been highlighting hair well for 7 years! I felt like I was a test model. My hair turned blue from the over toning. The balayage was horrible. My hair was fried. She was quiet and did not take an after picture. I let her know I was not happy with this. She told me the blue would fade! They offered me to get a redo at the Bossier salon after I asked to speak with management. Another stylist tried to fix it at Bossier, so the color was not so overtoned. She did not help. I am now currently trying to fix all the damage done with 150 bucks worth of protein building products and color correction at a reputable salon. Dont go here! I have never had my hair fried before and now I know. I have spent alot of money on color correction and nursing my hair back to the way it was and I cant believe I paid for them to fry my hair and I tipped them. I had an absolutely HORRIBLE experience here both yesterday and today. Yesterday I had an appointment with my friend booked at the exact time, and my friend was seated and pleasantly greeted right away by her nail tech because she is her regular customer. I however am not a regular customer, and no one helped me or acknowledged me for 45 minutes straight. (The lady who finally told me 45 minutes later she was helping me in a minute argued with me about how long I had actually waited). I immediately became more upset, and I felt very rushed and did not even get a true pedicure. My toes and nails looked terrible, so after all of that I told the manager what had happened and the owner came by and apologized. She told me I could come back the next day and get everything re-done correctly and not be rushed. I was fine with that, even though I live 30 minutes away from the salon. So I came back today expecting a much more positive experience, and that couldn't be farther from the truth. I was not greeted politely, and had to wait AGAIN to get in a chair. Then I was informed that I was not actually getting my pedicure re-done, which didn't happen in the first place yesterday, unless you consider 3 minutes a pedicure. The nail techs were all arguing about who would have to help me, even though I came back for another scheduled appointment! They acted like I had just walked in unnanounced expecting to get help. I asked to talk to the owner again, and she was the most unprofessional, obnoxious, crude owner I've ever encountered. She accused me of lying about what she told me yesterday she would do for me, and when I tried to explain my understanding of what she had told me she stuck her finger on her mouth and hushed me!!! I was completely in shock that she had the nerve to do that to a customer. The manager was standing right there and did nothing. I started to cry, I was just so upset about how everyone was treating me. Please do not ever give this place your business. They are SO incredibly rude and have the WORST customer service. I will post this review anywhere I can. Horrible waxing at Aveda! I recently moved to the area (less than a year ago) and was going to Aveda Spa (Ashley Ridge) for Brazilian waxing. First of all I've never seen such EXPENSIVE prices for waxes as I have in Shreveport!!! Although the multiple staff may have "many years of experience" doing Brazilian waxes, practice makes PERSISTENT!. Not perfect. I am thoroughly disappointed. Never does a Brazilian wax there take less than 45min (compared to European Wax Center you're in and out in 20 minutes for a Brazilian), and not only that some of them do really small spots at a time which makes it that more painful. Overall, they really don't know what they're doing when it comes to a proper brazilian wax. (As much as they believe to the contrary) Tried the Bellemead Aveda Spa for a maintenance brazilian wax. I had S-- who was probably the ONLY person I've ever had at Aveda to do a great brazilian in 20 minutes (like it should)--but then she had the audacity to charge me 65$ for "using extra hard wax" because she had to go over an area a few times.....Seriously?? Is that the kind of customer service you plan on giving? Might I add "getting everything" is INCLUDED at places like European Wax Center and other waxing salons I've been to in the North East..... I really wish Shreveport would get one because all these other "high-end" places would be in for some major competition at extremely reasonable prices. I have not and will never, EVER go back to Aveda Spa/Salon for any waxing. And I will also tell anyone who will listen to not go there. My husband bought me a $250. gift certificate for a Message and media and pedicure. The message was an 1.5 hours and was good, not great but good. It was the media and pedicure that was a joke. First the water for the feet was too hot. When I told her she stuck her hand in it and said it was not too hot. Who's feet are going in their, hers or mine. Plus the hand is not as sensitive as the feet. She kept telling me I was wrong that it is not too hot. I believe she was calling me a liar. The nail polish was not covering the entire nail base at the cuticle line. She made it straight across and left nail showing. I would rather go to the mall and get my feet done where they want business. My husband bought this gift certificate because the local Shreveport Bossier City Magazine ranked it the best of the best for this area. read more

Got a Brazillian wax from Jasmine. Getting a brazillian is never fun, but Jasmine was great. She was very modest and easy to talk to. I give it a four star because I think the wax was a little too hot when applied to some areas. Overall I would definitely recommend. read more

I booked a spa package for my wife for a Mother's Day, and she was excited and looking forward to it. She went to the Ashley Ridge location which she said was very clean and looked really nice and professional. Then the problems started, the package was a massage, facial, manicure, and pedicure. The spa was helpful and let her swap her partial facial for a full one hour massage the entire package was supposed to last three hours. She arrived at 11 and was in the massage room by 1115 massage last an hour, and then she had to wait 45 minutes for her pedicure to begin. The lady that did her pedicure wore glasses For the foot massage and rub and then took the glasses off for the nail painting part of the pedicure. She painted some of the toenails in such a way that it looked like they were painted two weeks ago and grew out, then when my wife pointed it out to her she argued and told my wife she was wrong. My wife then had to show her by using a metal instrument and tapping on her toenail that wasn't painted and then tapping on her toe to explain the difference between the toenail and the toe. Not to mention the color she wanted was being used and instead of waiting for letting her pick out another color the staff member went and picked out a color for her and told her it would be fine and that she would like it which she did not. Then doing the manicure portion she complained that my wife's fingernails were too short. For the massage portion she had to ask the massage therapist repeatedly to please push harder and after repeated attempts she finally gave up asking. It's a shame that such a nice looking place employs people that don't focus on customer satisfaction. had appointment with alania for cut and color. i have been to aveda salons in other states before and always had great experiences. i didnt mind paying for great service either. first of all, this salon has just one little work area in the back with about 8 or 9 chairs. the decor in the front is nice, but in the back it looks old and run down. the ladies working there were on the phone the whole time, not tending to their customers. i was not asked if i wanted a magazine or offered a tea, or coffee etc, even though the other few customers had those things. i didnt mind to much but that just added to my dissatisfaction with this place. i showed alanie the color i wanted, it turned out much much darker. the eyebrows i had colored too, oh my they looked so raven black, not at all natural. i guess the cut was ok, after all what can one do wrong with a straight trim. i remember paying $110 at other salons for both services. alanie didnt say anything about eyebrows being extra, since she had leftover color in the bowl. at checkout my bill was $160, i had a coupon for $20 off. they dont list all the services by price so i didnt even pay attention, my big fault i guess. i really didnt want to tip her, but i did anyway, because i am a nice person. i will NOT go back there even if i get it for free. alanie didnt talk much and did not make me feel welcome. i went to her because she has 20 yrs experience with aveda so i figured she would do an outstanding job. i should have listened to the lady at ashley ridge and gone there in the first place. for that money id rather order my stuff from california and do it myself! read more

I called to make an appointment for a gel nail polish change. Change only, not a manicure. I was very specific and when I made the appointment, the person on the phone was positive that it would cost $25.00. I asked a couple of times because I usually pay $20.00 at another salon. My appointment was for 12:45 p.m., and I was called back at 1:00 p.m. which was fine because I know that people get behind. Shawn soaked my nails for at least 10 minutes, four times!! I have never had to have them soaked that much. Every time he wanted them soaked, he would leave, come back, scrape the polish off, soak again and then leave. This was nearly an hour into the appointment and he still wanted to soak them. Then I was there for another hour so he could polish them. When I finally get to the counter, the charge was $45.00 plus a $5.00 fee because they said it was not their nail polish. I told the attendant Kylie that I will not being paying that and explained the appointment phone call. There was no manager and she called the Ashley Ridge location and spoke to someone whom told her that I would have to pay. She advised that she would HOLD my card and not charge it until the owner, Kim Anderson, called me to discuss this. That was Friday and my card was charged $45.00 Tuesday without my authorization, a signature or a phone call from Kim Anderson. I have disputed this charge with my bank and I will NEVER visit this salon again, nor will anyone that I know. read more
