I wanted to relax for my actual birthday and decided to have a spa day. I scheduled the Classic Breeze Package that includes a 50 minute facial, 50 minute massage, complimentary lunch and beverage, and access to their pools and fitness center. ALL DEFINITELY WORTH IT. I was greeted with a birthday sign and chocolate treats. I loved the personal touch! Cecilia did my massage and put me to sleep instantly. I added the hot stones as an upgrade, which I'm glad I did. She hit all the right pressure points. After my massage, I walked over the Covewood to grab lunch. I got the miso glazed salmon on top of udon noodles and tomato dashi and edamame with a glass of apple juice. I enjoyed the weather, the view of the water and live music. Afterwards, I walked back to the spa and went into the dry sauna for 10 minutes to unwind before my facial. Sydney did my facial, and I fell asleep. I woke up feeling refreshed, rejuvenated and my skin felt super soft. Both ladies were amazing and so kind. I ended the day with a glass of bubbly and relaxed in the waiting lounge for a bit. Went to this spa a while ago with my mother when she came out to visit. I love massages and getting pampered and she hasn't had a massage before so I wanted to take her to a nice place for her first time. Spa Brezza definitely didn't disappoint! The location was very nice - not too busy at all. Spa area is separate from the hotel/pool area- across the parking lot. All the staff were so friendly and polite. Even the small talk felt warm and personal. We did the classic package which came with a massage and facial. I had actually never had a professional facial before so I wasn't sure what to expect - it was very in-depth and personalized. My skin felt great afterwards. My mother has very sensitive skin and was worried about the products used but they confirmed everything was natural and she had no issues at all! She even wanted to purchase whatever oil was used on our arms as it made her skin feel soft without any residue or irritants. Massages were amazing - it was very relaxing and felt luxurious. UPDATE: after I had the experience above, I actually called the resort itself to ask for assistance in this matter. Kyle the director of rooms was nice enough to step in and assure that I was directed to the correct person - he got me in touch with Briza- the area manager- when I said SHE KNEW HOW TO RECTIFY THIS, she did!!! She heard my concerns and complaints, and quickly made them better. She agreed that is not how they run their spa and not how clients should be treated. She quickly got me scheduled for a service for myself during our stay, which was today. I walked in and was greeted with a smile- the front lobby is nicely decorated and makes you feel "calm". I was actually then greeted by Briza! She made sure that SHE, herself was there to ensure my services were top notch. We had to pivot a little with the services due to a medical condition. We were able to schedule something else quickly! I had a scalp, neck and shoulder massage by Dejan. If you do not book a massage with him, you are doing yourself a disservice..... he's probably the best massage therapist I've ever had... for ONLY being a "upper body and short" massage- I'll be back!! I was then taken to have a facial by bayley and she was wonderful. Extremely knowledgeable, made me feel Comfortable and extremely relaxed. I would recommend coming back and I will be back! When companies have an oops, it's nice to see them taking customer service seriously and rectifying the situation to the fullest. They did just that. OVERPRICED, absolutely not worth the service received. I can't believe my hubby and I walked out of there paying $545 for a couples 80 minutes each massage! Almost $600!? We wanted to splurge since it was our wedding anniversary but I caaaaan't believe we paid that much for a less than memorable experience! Not the wedding anniversary I was expecting... I received the Classic Nobel Massage, I supposed it's customizable to your problem areas... my massage was nothing to write home about. My husband was supposed to get "deep tissue" but he said it was far from it. We opted for aromatherapy and never received it during our massage. My favorite thing was being called the wrong name by my therapist. Christine? Lol. The massage therapists here are super mediocre and the "amenities included" are not that great. These amenities includes, a "relaxation" room before your massage - which is just a big room with comfy couches and ice water with tea bags. At least put lemon or cucumber in the water? Each of the separate locker rooms has a sauna and regular showers in them. Nothing, nothing special. This spa is super basic with a reception area that sells lotion potions, make up, workout clothing, etc - all for you to purchase separately. I really can't say I would recommend this spa. With the hiiigh cost of service I expected so much more that I didn't receive. It's important to note that there is a service fee and gratuity that is automatically built into the price. FYI. I was so excited for the Meditation Himalayan Salt Table but my experience did not match the advertisement or description. I have include the Instagram posts from Spa Brezza of the service vs what I was given during my service. As you can see I did not get any eye covering, no salt placed on my chest, and no guided meditation. You can see that someone else got headphone with a guided meditation but that was not ever an option. I was led to the table, provided a 5 minute head massage, and then left. When I brought this up to the staff they said they had never noticed the advertisement was different then the treatment you get. And on top of that you pay an automatic 22% tip for this service. The spa itself is nice. I had a 50 min massage this weekend. It was fine. But my masseuse didn't do 1 thing I requested. She actually scratched my left rib cage with one of her nails and I was forced to pay a 30.00 tip on 2 star service. When I inquired on the mandatory gratuity I was told "that's our policy" but wasn't asked if the service was ok. The problem is that the massage therapist knew the good money was coming so ignored me. I asked for focus on my shoulders, lower back and quads. She spent a little extra time on one shoulder, saying it was worse than the other, basically skipped everything else. Breezed over my lower back, both legs, feet and completely skipped my arms and hands. I mentioned several times she could increase the pressure but she didn't answer or actually add any pressure. I've had mediocre therapists in my life so I get that not everyone is a superstar but I'm paying a fortune for this and you could, at the very least, be responsive. Sidenote: Went to Covewood for lunch where greasy fries are served obviously cold, and frozen chicken added to a Cesare salad will cost you 12 bucks. I live in SD and I will say any other spa is worth your time and money. Stay here if you like but go to another spa. read more

I stayed at Dana on mission bay and assumed it was in that hotel. The director wouldn't cancel My appt for a honest mistake and tried to charge my card but it declined thank god. So I went ahead and got a Uber and went in for my services. They said it has happened quite a few times. Well, $400 later. They even automatically charge the gratuity. It was nothing spectacular. For $30 plus tip for each tech, you could get better service. Not spectacular. Don't go. Don't even make the appt cause trust me. You won't be able to get out of it. I paid my dues. I even said go ahead and charge me like a $25 cancellation fee. Nope. They wants to only give me $70 back of $280. The director could have done better than that for someone who came from Hawaii and wasn't familiar with the area. read more

Amazing staycation day! We are from SD but I booked massages for my girlfriend's birthday. The staff was kind and attentive as soon as we entered the spa. Robes and sandals are provided in your locker (additional sizes available), with access to their fitness center, sauna, relaxation room, and pool. After our wonderful couple hours getting our massages (the masseuse Sylvia was amazing!) and lounging in the sauna, we were kindly provided pool wristbands by the spa front desk and instructed how to get there. Spa brezza is a solid four star spa. Went here for my birthday massage and had a really good masseuse. I've been once before and really enjoy being able to use the pool as well. The spot they're missing is amenities IMO. The relaxing lounge had some old bruised apples tea and water and is quite small. The facilities in the men's locker room are a sauna. I would say a resort of this size should really have a bit better spa amenities. With that said we had great service, excellent massage and their pool area is quite nice! read more

My friend and I recently enjoyed fabulous morning at Spa Brezza at the San Diego Mission Bay Resort. Adriana started me off on the himalyan salt table with a head massage and thirty minutes of relaxation and meditation. Then Christa took over with a hot stone massage followed by a rejuvenating salt scrub. This was defintely an indulgence and a wonderful way to relax. The only thing that could have made it better would have been a saltwater pool or private hot tub of some sort. I would have liked to relax in some water after enjoying the wonderful spa services. So this was my very 1st spa experience and boy did the business set the bars low. However on a positive note to a BAD review, the gal that performed the service/massage was amazing. She was very sweet, kind and made me feel comfortable in a kinda uncomfortable situation.... My husband who works for the resort won a free massage/spa treatment or a dinner for 2. Time went by and we never did the dinner for 2, so I went ahead and got the free massage/spa treatment. I was excited because again it was my 1st time with the whole spa experience. I didn't really know what to expect. I walked through the spa doors and 3 girls are standing at the front desk. All three greeted me with a smile and a welcome . I sign in, filled out some health questions, and waited for the massage therapist. (unfortunately, I can't remember her name) As i'm waiting, I see a lady walk by in a beautiful spa robe and I'm thinking to myself. I wonder when they're going to give me my robe so I can change out of my clothes. Seconds later, one of the three girls that were standing at the front desk tells me we're so sorry we're out of clean robes. WTF, there's three girls standing at a front desk with not much going on and you're out of clean robes for your customers. Once again, it being my first time at a spa, I don't think much of it at the time. My massage therapist comes and brings me upstairs in a beautiful elevator. Once upstairs I see the themed rooms, mine was Fire/red. My LEAST favorite color. But I didn't have a choice. She leads me to the room, explains how I should get on the massage table. The whole time I feel kind of uncomfortable because I'm walking around a spa in my jeans, tank top, and a flannel. It was about a 15 minute massage but I feel like she went a few minutes longer. Once the massage was done, she gave me time to get dressed in my clothes, NOT A PRETTY SPA ROBE. Then she leads me to the shower and sauna and tells me I have full access to the showers and sauna, but I felt uncomfortable in my street clothes to go shower and enjoy the spa experience without a spa robe I do go into the bathroom to wash my hands, the bathroom was beautiful. I see a woman in the sauna, and another woman in her cute spa robe heading towards the sauna. She gave me a funny look as she walked by. I was done at that point. NO SPA ROBE = NO MORE SPA EXPERIENCE FOR ME. No shower, no sauna, and just a bad experience with a great massage. This bad review all boils down to NOT RECEIVING A BEAUTIFUL SPA ROBE TO WEAR during my 1st ever spa session. It didn't really sink in until I got home. It made me cryThat was a terrible and uncomfortable experience and I asked myself why was there 3 girls standing at the front desk. One of them should've been sure there was clean robes for every single customer who walks through those spa doors. This experience was several months ago. I have been many places in the world and to many Spas but no one has exceeded my expectations more than the signature manicure and pedicure I had at Spa Brezza! My feet and hands are the softest they have ever been. Still a week later and I am still very much aware of how soft my hands and feet are. My appointment was with Vickie. After a day of snowboarding, i called to make an appointment and got a next-day appointment for me and my fiance. While they could not book us at the same time we did get consecutively booked 80 minute Swedish massages with Gina. After we parked we ended up walking all the way around the building trying to find the entrance, which is the closest side to the tennis courts. The person I booked with over the phone was the one manning the front desk and he was very helpful throughout our time there. While the spa was not the nicest I have been to, it was decent. Another reviewer commented on the decor and so on, but that review was actually a while ago and it has been a little while since they renovated. The women's locker room was clean and the steam room was fine. There were towels in many different areas but I saw people who had to run out to other areas to find them since we ran out in the locker room. The Zen Room was nice, but it would take it up a notch if they offered wine in addition to coffee/tea and lemon water. Just saying. The room itself was comfy and I could have napped there while I waited for my fiance, except that the music was a bit distracting. It was semi-relaxing, but then a song came on that made my eyebrows raise. Subtly provocative, it made me go "what the..?" The massage itself was awesome. The room was very relaxing and the table was super comfortable. One of the better ones I have experienced. Gina was wonderful; I was in a chatty mood and she was such a sweetheart, we chatted the whole time. I was very cozy and comfortable, and my sore muscles which were painful before felt only somewhat sore after. I really believe it accelerated my healing. After our massages we went to check out the jacuzzi, but one of the two was broken and taped off and the one we used had broken jets. The pool itself is very nice and kept decently warm though. Overall we had a good time. They automatically add 20% gratuity, which I think my fiance thinks is presumptuous, and I guess I agree. Since what we had was normally almost twice that, I feel tip should be left up to the customer. If you MUST have a certain amount, include that or some compensatory amount in your price. Located at the Hilton San Diego Resort, I got a massage and facial here. The massage was good and I forget the name of the masseuse but she was friendly. The sheets on the bed were so soft, i wanted to lay there forever. Their bathrobes were very plush and soft too. My facial was with Rhoda (sp??) and she wasn't bad, but she kept trying to sell me the products which was a turn off. She also talked a lot throughout the facial. She was nice though, just a bit too talkative. I understand they always try to sell you on their products, but Rhoda was over the top for me. The lounge area was nice and the sofas were super comfy. Would of rated 3 stars but there is something wrong with the maintenance department and management at this Hilton. They simply don't care about the property. We were staying in Mission Valley for the weekend and my girlfriend needed a few hours at a spa so we chose the one at the Hilton on Mission Bay. It was a very disappointing time. I realize that hotel spas are pricey but this was a bit ridiculous. A facial and mani pedi with the built-in 20% tip came out to over $350. We pay about half that for the same services at a nice Spa in Huntington Beach. I guess people staying at the Hilton are expected to have the money to pay high prices. During the facial my GF said the lady talked and talked the whole time. The manicure was supposed to be their Express but they did a mediocre job and never got to the skin around the nail. I looked at her fingers in the car and was amazed at how much hanging skin that they missed. I told her she should have complained while she was in there but she said she was so tired of the poor service that she didn't want to go back in. She had to trim the hanging skin around her nails by herself in the car and they looked so much better. Parking if you are not staying at the hotel is ridiculous. I asked the spa receptionist if they could issue a temporary pass to get into the parking area and she said no. There were like 15 empty spaces around the spa so why couldn't they allow outsiders the ability to park there. For the prices they charge they should Valet Park our car. :) read more

Key points: massages were great; the spa is not entirely co-ed or even has the option; zen room with "free" hot tea, cucumber water, and fruit.... that's the ENTIRE spa...; expensive tip pre-decided tip; free key to the hotel pool When I think of spa, I think of adult water amusement park. Mud pit, clay pit, sauna, hot springs, numerous pools, massage center, etc. This spa had the bare minimum. J and I received the LivingSocial 80 minute Swedish massage package as a gift. When I called to make the appointment, the man who answered was very nice and offered to have our massages in a room together, something I never had at Glen Ivy which was nice. I think it is standard to have a man massage the women, and a woman massage the man, so if you have a preference make sure you make it known. When we arrived they provided robes and shoes for us. The woman then introduced us individually to our locker rooms (which smelled deliciously of eucalyptus) and showed us how the personal lockers worked and showed us the separate steam rooms. Ice. Cold. Lavender. Towels... mmmm. There is no co-ed steam rooms here! Not even the option... I would have like to be able to go in the steam room with J. Kind of a buzz kill if we were on a honeymoon of sorts. But we weren't... so we met up in the Zen room where they provided 4 types of hot teas, cucumber lemon water, and the average Costco fruit blend (whole apples, oranges and bananas). Free fruit is nice. J thought the room wasn't as relaxing as it could have been. Since there is no other area than the Zen room (or anything else for that matter) to do while we wait for our massages, J and I hung out in there for a while. Our massages were amazing! 5 stars for the massages. Our therapists were professional and nice :) J started snoring hahaha Tips were a little steep... we didn't get to decide what we wanted to tip our therapists, its automatically 20%... $68 later... the tips were taken care of. After our massages we asked the woman at the front desk for a key to the hotel pool :) We hung around in the pool area for a while before we decided ice cream was in our future.
