This is a hard one to rate. Kind of hit and miss and you can tell by some of the other reviews. The atmosphere and the facilities are really good. 4 stars for the facilities.... Steam room was great. Showered and locker room clean and nice. Even had jacuzzi in men's room. Nice!! The massage was just mediocre. For what I paid should have had a better masseuse. They gave me a guy without by asking. But... they did squeeze me in as a walk-in. But I have had better massages at massage envy. That said my wife got a female masseuse that was amazing!!! She loved hers. But the female bathroom was horrible... the stew a room took 20 min to work. The jacuzzi didn't work and the rest just ok. Also do NOT get pedi ... wife had to stop mid pedi since the woman had no clue... cut up her toes and filling the skin.. wife said worst pedi ever. Can read her post. The front desk was really helpful and professional. Took care of us and made the experience right. I don't know her name but she made sure wife was happy. Massage for me 2 stars. 5 stars for my wife. I wish I could say this was an amazing experience, especially given how beautiful the spa is and how kind and welcoming the staff were. The amenities were pristine, well-maintained, and exactly what you'd expect from a high-end spa. Everyone I interacted with was warm and professional, and I could tell they genuinely wanted guests to have a great experience. Unfortunately, my massage was anything but. From the start, it was clear that my massage therapist, David, never even glanced at my intake form. He had no idea what I was looking for, what areas needed attention, or even how comfortable I was with certain techniques. That lack of attention set the tone for the entire session, making it feel impersonal and disconnected-definitely not the high-end experience I had expected. One of my biggest frustrations was that I spent almost the entire massage covered with a sheet, and instead of making direct contact, he mostly worked over it. The only places he actually touched were my feet, calves, arms, back, and just the *sides* of my neck-*not even my ears, not my face, not my head, not the front of my neck, nothing.* On top of that, he spent so much time adjusting, tucking, and pulling at the sheets that it completely took me out of the moment. I had also paid extra for a lymphatic drainage "dry brush enhancement," but it was clear he either forgot or didn't actually know how to do it. He skipped key areas like my chest, clavicle, head, and the back of my neck. The dry brushing itself lasted maybe 20 seconds on my back and another 20 seconds on just ONE leg, as if it was an afterthought. Then, just as I was trying to settle in, a vacuum started running for 5-10 minutes, completely pulling me out of any relaxation. The most disappointing part was when I turned onto my back. *This* was when I expected real attention to my chest, neck, and head, but it never happened. Instead, he inclined the table at an awkward 20-30% angle, making my head fall uncomfortably to the side. It felt unnatural and even painful. And yet, despite what I assumed was meant to help with lymphatic drainage, he *still* never touched my clavicles, never worked on my jawline, never massaged my chest. He just rubbed the *sides* of my neck-nothing more. When the massage ended, I was so disappointed that I explained my concerns to the staff. They were kind, they listened, and I could tell they felt bad that I didn't have the experience I was hoping for-but all they could do was apologize. I don't think it was their fault, and I know they probably did the best they could within their limits, but it was still frustrating to walk away without any real resolution. I walked in expecting a high-end, customized experience, and instead, I left feeling ignored, frustrated, and honestly, a little sad. The spa itself is stunning, and the staff were lovely, but the massage was a complete letdown. I truly believe the staff cares about the guests, but I also believe that for the price I paid, there should have been more effort to make things right. I reserved a treatment that the receptionist said was a full body scrub but was not. The only places scrubbed were calves feet and back. Steam room also inadequate Spoke to manager about this. She never offered any complimentary discounts on a future visit. Simply said thanks for letting us know. Well now they have one less customer but honestly I don't think they care. read more

Im always hopeful that the day at the spa will be awesome, and in some ways it is because it is still a luxury and for that it is rejuvinating. This spa was accommodating in that they took us as walk ins and allowed us to make reservations for a couple of hours later and that was nice. Having said that... I'm getting my pedicure now and to start, they offer gel for hands but not for toes?? She (Shelly?) said it was because of the fumes. What??? That makes no sense. I am the only one in the salon! I asked for hot water, and at best it was luke warm. And she threw a tablet in the water that smelled of pachuli, and I have a serious aversion to that. Even so, she didn't give me any time to soak before she started... The technician started with clipping my nails BEFORE taking the gel polish off, but that's a no-no since the gel makes the nail stiff and harder to trim. With her first clip she almost clipped the end of my big toe with her clippers! I almost came out of the chair!! Then she proceded in clipping my right foot nails down to the quick without asking me about how I wanted them done even after i told her i was prone to ingrown nails if cut too short. Then, she filed them in an up and down motion which splits the nail, before moving side to side. The file kept skipping as she was not careful with what she was doing, and she kept filing at my already too short nails right into the quick! Owch! Then she brought out the dremmel tool to get the gel off of my nails, but they were already sore from the hand file so it was really tough sitting through her passing the dremmel over the skin. She just seemed really nervous or under experienced, because she was so aggressive. She started talking about there was more than gel on my nails because she was having a hard time getting it off and complained that it would take a long time. But really, she didn't have a handle on the gear she was using and I was absolutely paying the price. She was complaining but I was the one being handled really roughly. After the dremmel, she went back to the emery board and filed the top of my skin till raw. Then she brought out the cuticle scraper and I was jumping several times with each toe as she dug in and scraped around. I could just tell that I was being carved! I texted my husband and asked him what I should do. He said tell her to stop. So...Before she could move to the next foot, I asked her to stop. She didn't apologize or anything, rather, she seemed offended and said that it was my fault for having gel on my toes. What the frick? Are you kidding me? I'm calling BS. I think it must have been her first pedicure after a one day cosmology class. Brutal. I posted my bleeding toes as proof. Next up was the hot rocks massage, and I gotta say that Giavante (sp?) was awesome. She is the reason I'm giving two stars because what happened before was traumatic. The facility was okay, I had a hard time getting the steam room to work (had to pour cold water on a wash cloth and hold it on the thermometer before the steam would come on) and it had an acrid smell to the room like cat pee. The hot tub was broken. The showers were okay and the changing room was good. The womens lounge had water and tea and was nice. I don't know how to feel. I'm glad my massage was good, but I feel soured from the "pedi". My husband said his massage was like a limp fish. Not sure what to make of that, but it doesn't sound good to me. I can't say that my experience would be your experience, so I won't say that you shouldn't go here, but I will say that you do so at the risk of not getting to fully use the facilities, and perhaps you have the worst almost pedicure of your life. Just make sure you ask for Giavante for your massage. At least that was really good. Redemption! read more

The hot tub does not work, the steam room does not work, they shower has no hot water, there is no soap or shampoo in the shower, there were no snacks or drinks over than water in the waiting room. They charge spa prices, but do not provide spa amenities. $150 for a 50 min massage in a "non-spa" is unreasonable. They knew of the deficiencies, they did not post the lack of amenities on their website, they did not inform me of the deficiencies when I booked the appointment, they did not reduce the price to accommodate me as their customer. I won't be going back. I was told they "hope" to have the amenities working by February 2024. Don't waste your time or money on over priced services in a "non-spa". read more

I have been coming here since they opened years ago. The last few visits were disappointing, but thank goodness they've recently stepped up their game in a few ways. They FINALLY replaced the robes with new ones (long overdue.) And the housekeeping has improved. Unfortunately, they still have a broken tea kettle for guests to use. I mean, really?! A new one is like $20 on Amazon. But instead, in the dimly lit waiting room, guests get to search for a tiny broken lever to turn the kettle on using their fingernail. It's ridiculous and hardly luxurious considering that I just paid $165 for a 75 minute massage. The therapists tend to talk more than I like, but overall are very professional. The steam room is amazing and they recently added aromatherapy to it. What can I say, despite the broken tea kettle and stale trail mix, this is the best place around. read more

Very bad customer service. The spa cancelled on me because someone called off...( with less than 24 hour notice) they kindly said they would "wave" the cancellation fee! Are you kidding me, you should accommodate me since I had a reservation months in advance! They also said they can do no accommodations if I rescheduled. We were fortunate enough to be gifted a free Weekend stay at Blue Chip and I decided to get a massage while I was here. While they didn't have the length of time I wanted, I got the 25 minute massage. Kate did an amazing job for me. I was very relaxed and didn't have any complaints about the place. read more

I've been here a couple of times, but it's been a while. So, today I was very much looking forward some pampering. I got a package that includes a full body massage, a facial and a pedicure. When I arrived, I was greeted by an employee who seemed nice and happy I was there. She asked me if I'd been there and I told her yes, but it had been a while so she showed me around until I remembered where everything was. She handed me my slide on sandals and sent me on my way. I robed up and waited in the waiting area for my first service. There were teas (the one I wanted was empty, relaxation), waters, juice, snack mix and a menu for alcoholic beverages. No-one ever asked me if I wanted anything from the bar. A glass of wine would have been nice. My first service was a massage. She greeted me nicely and guided me back to choose an oil and then to the room. The lights were dim and very calming. The bed was warm and cozy and the scent I chose was perfect, but could have been a little stronger. The masseuse was nice, but kept yawning. She asked me if I liked the pressure, I said a little harder and she did for a few minutes but went right back to light. She left me feeling like I wasted my money. I feel bad, because she told me she has small children, but I feel like it's no excuse. You still have to be good at what you do. I told her to stay above my waist, which she did, but had I known my facial would have given me a shoulder neck and arm massage, I would have gotten my legs and feet rubbed too. She nicely led me back to the waiting area. My facial person came. AMAZING! I loved it. She was educated and informative and I have not a single complaint. (Except her pointing out my black heads, which needed to be pointed out...gross) I was taken back to the waiting area where my pedicure person came to greet me and lead me to my chair. Let me start by saying, I was caught off guard by her appearance, but wow! Amazing personality and super fun. Loved her! She could have rubbed my feet a little more, but other than that, no real complaints. Now, for the part that was most upsetting. I was out for the first time in 10 months. I drove all the way from Naperville, IL in a snow storm and my best girl friend and daughter met me for some pampering also. I expected to be treated as a nice little get away, but we sat without drinks. No-one could get any because the manager was the only one capable and she was giving services too. The girls in the hot tub were so loud and doing nothing but complaining and yelling and it was anything but relaxing. Besides the services, the place has gone down hill. They need to step up their game. Seems odd that they would charge what they do and not still make it a great escape as it used to be about 5 or so years ago. Time to revamp it. Customer service is everything. It will make or break your company. Step it up or move on. I will not be back. Either will my girls. Good luck Update: the owner sent me two coupons to try again. So, I went AGAIN ... drove from Naperville. Had my appointment set up and the check in phone call the night before. All was well. I left my son with his father and finally got to get away for some me time. I got there and ... was greeted in a "I'm busy" manner. I got my slip on shoes and was sent back to get my robe on. As I walked in, there were signs posted that the hot tub was out of order. This made me angry immediately. I couldn't wait to sit in the hot tub and enjoy the steam room. ITS WHY I CAME AN HOUR EARLY! I decided to just wait in the waiting area and have some .... STALE SNACKS and when I went to pour me a tea, there was NO HOT WATER! In fact, there was no water at all. The person who did my facial was on time and genuinely kind. She did a good job, but never mentioned anything about my skin except that it was combination. She told me step by step what she was doing and it was very relaxing. Nothing too exciting though I went back through the waiting area back to my locker to get dressed and noticed that they refilled the snacks (leaving the old stale stuff at the bottom) and filled the water for the tea. They also added some red bull to the mini fridge. I grabbed one. I got dressed and felt like I was being checked on and watched constantly by the girl who did my facial. I decided to give her the tip in that moment so maybe she would go away. I went to the front desk to pay and check out. I found some masks they were selling and asked if the girl behind the counter knew anything about them. She did not. Or at least I assumed. She shrugged her shoulders and kept doing whatever it was she was doing. I will never return to this spa. It's not worth the drive or the money. Went here with a group of 7 girlfriends for a variety of treatments. We all go to spas somewhat frequently so know what to expect. Here are our collective thoughts: Take away: This place is ok but needs to really up its game, especially at this price point. We will try someplace else next time. Pros: clean, quiet rooms, nice spa technicians, nice snacks and beverages in waiting room, variety in spa services. Cons: staff has no authority or discretion so can't help you with any requests, payment policies are unreasonable (they wanted me to pay for all 10+ services weeks in advance instead of at the time of service), we ordered lunch but not without problem bc the kitchen closes at noon and it took over an hour to get our food, the food was mediocre at best (don't get the shrimp, incredibly over cooked, the cheese plate was good and enough for 5 people at leasst) and overpriced, very limited food menu, no recycling facilities, whirlpool was way too hot, robes and towels could be in better shape (stains and holes), pedicure chairs have no massage function and are not comfortable (sit at a perfect right angle), no body massages *at all* available for pregnant women(!!!), water for pedicures and showers were cold (nail techs were telling me about trouble regulating water temp), lack of amenities you would expect to see (combs, hair spray, deodorant, lotion), spa services were hit or miss (hot stone massage was only stone no massage but true blu package was good) read more

I wish i could build a house here there are amazing with there fingers. They really can work a knot out of your back. Worth every dime.
