I received a Posh Spa giftcard at my baby shower. When I finally had the opportunity to use it, I was really pleased with how conveniently I was able to schedule an appointment on the one day I would be in town. I selected the body polish. I showed up for my appointment and the receptionist warmly welcomed me and made me feel immediately pampered and cared for. I had the body polish with Rochelle, and it was blissful. I was pleasantly surprised that the sugar scrub, which felt amazing, was followed by a gentle massage. I left feeling very refreshed and would love to return if I am ever back in La Porte. read more

We came to Posh Day Spa a few days after we got married for a couples massage. Unfortunately, this massage is pretty low on my list compared to prior experiences at other facilities. The bad: The spa is in an old converted house (cool!), but we were there at the beginning of October during the time of the year when you're not quite sure if you should turn the heat on. The room was maybe 65 degrees, and that feels pretty chilly when you are disrobed. My husband's masseuse was pretty uncoordinated and kept bumping into things, she had kind of a gross coughing fit (OK, understandable) during which she didn't cover her mouth (not OK), and she had major coffee breath that was smell-able from a distance. The lights in the room were off, but there were several windows so it was still pretty bright. Even with some quiet music, we could hear people talking and working in other rooms. The good: The massage was relaxing. My masseuse was pretty good and seemed to know what she was doing. I enjoyed the massage on my arms, feet, and scalp in particular. The price for the couples massage was $120, which was reasonable in my experience. It was very easy to schedule the massage. Parking was easy. My 2-star rating reflects how Yelp describes 2 stars: "Meh. I've experienced better." I hate to have the attitude that this was good for Laporte (we're from Indianapolis), but maybe that's the case considering this place had lots of good reviews elsewhere? We were happy to relax together, but we would not go back. read more

I hate to write a bad review for a place that I know so many people love. And maybe it was pre-existing conditions that I didn't know about. But I received a massage and couldnt' walk the next day. I spent 4 agonizing days stiff as a board, and then - have had to go to the D.O. ever since for manipulation. So this is my personal experience and I wish Posh no harm. Went here for a couples massage. I clearly asked for a massage for my husband and I together in the same room. They said that was do-able. After arriving, an elderly lady rudely came and stated they couldn't do them together. She was rude and not apologetic at all. We left and will never be back. read more

Just had a spa day with my daughter and it was heavenly! The massage was wonderful. Toni is great! Friendly yet she doesn't talk through the massage which lets you really relax and enjoy the massage. The only reason this place got one star is because I couldn't give it zero stars! Worst experience ever. My husband purchased the Spa Sanctuary package for me as a birthday present. First off, I didn't get called back until a half hour after my scheduled appointment time. I was told we were going to do the facial first. It is spa etiquette that you do not leave the client for an extended period of time during a facial. She quickly washed my face, through me under the steamer, and left the room for over twenty minutes. I got so sick of sitting there I got up to grab my phone to see how long I had been under the steamer. When she finally came back she through a mask on my face and left again. I know it was an express facial but really!!! No extractions, no mini massage, and after 45 min that had to be the longest "express facial" ever. Next it was time for my body treatment. I undressed and got into "the pod". And the pod was being held open by a chair because it was broken. She came into the room, brushed oil on my body, turned "the pod" on and left. Once on, you could see there were bulbs burnt out in the pod. I thought maybe once it warms up they will come on. I tried to relax, and fall asleep because I was not relaxed. I knew my husband spent a descent amount of money (that he works hard for) on this and it was not off to a good start. The lights never did come on in "the pod". Next it was time for my message. To sum it up, the room and floor looked dirty. To this day it was the worst massage I have ever had. I mean professionally and not professionally. So weak and she didn't shut up the entire time. Next up was nails. And this one is tough because the lady was really nice. She got about half way through the first hand and I noticed the polish looked really thick and hard to work with . Thank goodness she noticed it too and said she was going to get a new bottle. She came back into the room, said there was not a new bottle, and she would make it work. The panic was setting in. Ladies, you know how hard it is to work with old polish. You can't. And it doesn't dry correctly. I asked her, should I just pick something different to make it easier for you. She said, no it will be fine. When I left the spa a cried. I work hard and have a baby at home. It's not often I get a chance to do something like that and it was so disappointing. I made sure to be really careful with my nails because of that polish. I left the salon around 3:30 PM. That night and I had a few things to finish packing for vacation. We were leaving the next day at 5:00 AM. It was after 11:00 PM and I was sitting on the floor finishing up. I went to stand up and my toe nails were stuck to the carpet. Over seven hours later and that nasty old polish still hadn't dried. Now there is nail polish on my carpet and I'm hysterically crying because I'm so tired. My husband had to take the polish off my toes for me so I wouldn't ruin my nails! I had to try to match the color as best as I could with something I had, and had to redo my toe nails when I had to be up 5:00 AM. So you couldn't pay me to go back to that place! read more
