so i Originally had an appointment with a lady that was going to provide a service for me. I left my deposit torwards the treatment, but day of the appointment they tell me I had to go to a new location that the wurzbach location was not going to be there anymore, and I had to go to the stone oak location. The day I get there they tell me the service would be totally different and the price would be costly. Apparently the original provider was no longer there and the service I wanted was a totally different price than what I was told during the consultation. Because I was left in the dark and was not told ahead of time of everything, I did not perform the procedure that day. Then I was credited a portion of my deposit back. Then what I was not told was that my credit is only good for a year. As a working parent, I get distracted with life. And now I am out of my money. I am very upset because they are not very communicative, I would have been happy if they would have told me upfront that the service provider was no longer there, and that I would have needed a new consult, vs going in blindly. Spa Black is a scam. I went in for PicoSure tattoo removal and bought a 6 session package. However, they kept canceling and rescheduling my follow-up appointments on the day of, and so far I only got one tattoo removal session done, on the same day they sold me the package! There's no visibility as to why they cannot keep the appointments. I've started a dispute through my credit card company because I don't want to deal with Spa Black anymore. read more

This place is overly expensive and doesn't provide great customer service. When I arrived 15 mins before my appointment I was not seen til 45 mins after my scheduled appointment. Meanwhile, so many people were being seen who had arrived after me faster. Secondly, there's no where written online that kids are not allowed to wait in the waiting room. Thirdly, I was pressured into making a follow up appt 2 weeks out and even though I told her I can't make one bc I don't have child care she pressured me into making one that it was no big deal if I couldn't make it. First I will start with: I should have asked to see her (Diane) training/certification. I went in for IPL treatment for my cheeks and nose. Diane was nice enough but when she told me the cost was $399.00, I told her that is really high for such a small area. She left the room and returned with: "We have a package for $350, but with your $50 deposit, I can do this for $300.' Still too high I thought but maybe worth it. My regular Dermatologist had retired and her staff moved on, so I had to find a new place for skin care needs. Huge mistake to select this place. The treatment was a little more painful than I remembered, but I figured she knew what she was doing. The next day, it was clear she burned my face in numerous places. Especially the left side of my nose. Attached is a photo NINE days later of left side of my nose. It has been 13 days since the 'treatment' and NONE of the redness I wanted treated is gone, but I still have slight burn spots across my cheeks and sides of my nose. Avoid this business! I bought a Groupon for laser hair removal for "large area" which their list says includes "full arms". I went for my first appointment only to be told that it only includes one arm. If I have two arms I have to pay double. They were really deeply sorry for the confusion. Apparently "full arms" is code for "one arm only". Total bait and switch! Other issue-they charged me extra to secure my appointment (though I had prepaid more than $400). Next issue, they are quick to tell you that you have a 15 minute window to arrive or forfeit the appointment without refund. No problem, I get it. However, my technician was 45 minutes late to arrive at the clinic for my appointment. This was unfortunate as I was using this Groupon to see how their business was and would have most likely become a regular patron of the business. If you can't be straight with me on the first appointment, I can only imagine what would come next. Save your time and money. There are plenty of reputable spas in SA. I want to make sure this gets posted on spa Black, don't let this happen to you.. first and for most I tried to work it out with the business all I asked for was a refund and an apology! I did not get the procedure or the products I paid for. Additionally I was made fun of by the staff and the owners wife which I have on camera. I sat in a dirty filthy room lead out with only a piece of paper covering my breast, walking through a group of people. I was mortified! At several points I should've just walked out. They did asked me to return, but after what they did to me I could not go back to a dirty filthy place knowing what these people did to me physically and mentally. The unprofessionalism I can't even put into words, they couldn't even call in a prescription. And it's always somebody else's fault. Maybe they should advertise! We will take your money, you don't get the product you paid for! Additionally make you wait in a dirty filthy room, embarrass you not being fully closed. I started going to Spa Black about 6 months ago for laser treatments. Simone is the esthetician that I see, and I adore her! She is welcoming, kind and very professional. During one of my laser sessions, she and I started talking about Botox. She recommended that I schedule an appointment with Rebekah. I have been getting injections regulary for the past 3 years, and the appointment that I had with her was hands down the very best results I have had! Rebekah is incredibly talented and knowledgeable. I have had the best experience with the ladies at Spa Black and I would highly recommend Simone for your skincare needs and Rebekah for injections! As a business owner in order for me to leave a business a horrible review that is really saying something!!! Do NOT waste your time and money!! First appt went into the medical center office. It was disgusting, dirty, trash on the floors in the rooms. Extremely unprofessional. Was talked into purchasing some fillers. Was told they could work me in to do them while I was there. Came in, numbed me and didn't return for an hour and 15 mins!!!! Have had this done before in Houston many times. Numbing cream takes about 15 minutes. She finally came in, injected my forehead and lips. When I proceeded to the front desk to pay, everyone in the front office looked at me w the strangest look. When I returned to my vehicle I was bleeding and already bruised. She did a HORRIBLe job!!!!! Two days later my lips and forehead were so bruised!! Never in my life have I ever had this happen before. I refused to go back to that location and voiced my frustrations so they sent me to the Stone Oak office. Long story short their lasers do NOT do their job! Had several treatments and nothing. Lady didnt seem to listen when I told her that is was too weak and nothing was happening like it is supposed to. Not worth spending the money w them. Then the next 3 appts were cancelled last minute on me. I live an hour away and one was cancelled when I was ten mins away for my appt. I had my consultation at this spa but it did not meet my expectations, I decided not to proceed with any treatments due to: 1. The treatment room looked very very filthy (dusty, floor not vacuumed, unorganized) 2. They use a dirty Clarisonic brush to clean your skin. So I was debating whether or not to post this but I've gotten a lot of questions about the filler I got & where I got it. I got it at Spa Black on wurzbach. I don't recommend it because although the girl who did my lips Fernanda was amazing & super sweet. The clinic did not only cancel on me once but TWICE back to back. So then they sent me a message to call them (them not call me) to reschedule. I called that same day (Friday) nobody answered. I called Monday & the lady said she couldn't even find my appointment in the first place. After that, I rescheduled for a new appointment. I was aware that they do charge $50 for a missed appointment. Now I never missed an appointment prior but I did read the paperwork that stated the fee. So, the new appointment was set for a Thursday & Wednesday I was exposed to corona so I didn't want to put anybody at risk that following day. So I called to explain why I missed my morning appointment & the lady said she couldn't even find my appointment. After 5 minutes of talking she said she found it & she would reschedule me but I got charged the fee. So I called & explained everything & even though I didn't plan on spending anymore money at that location they refused to give me a refund & said all they could do was give me credit. So cancel on me twice but I try to do the nice thing & be courteous of others & you can't waive the fee? How disappointing! And to think I was going to get my rhinoplasty here. Not anymore read more

Out of all the places I have tried (and I have tried many due to Groupon specials), Spa Black has been consistantly top notch when it comes to customer service, products, and professionalism. For those that are interested in laser hair removal, you do not have to look any further. I have had excellent results. The staff take the necessary time needed to do the job right. I have tried other places for laser hair removal and have had ok to bad results. Spa Black does such a great job, I am using them currently to finish what the other places failed to do right. I should have known better after reading all the bad reviews... I booked a groupon and decided to give this place a try. The reviews are 100% accurate. This place has awful customer service. The nurse that did my Botox was nice... so I don't have complaints about her. However, they told me my appointment was at the stone oak location...but when I got there it was closed. They then told me it was at the Wurzbach location. I drove over an hour just to find out they had told me the wrong location. They told me they would call me the next day to reschedule me and have a manager touch base with me...well that never happened. Also, they dilute their Botox. There is a reason their Groupon is cheap. My Botox starting wearing off after 3 weeks. Just go somewhere else that actually values your business even if you have to pay a little more. read more

First I would like to say that Michelle is a very sweet lady. I had received a Groupon for microneedling. I purchased the one session for $99. When I got there they had let me know that no one was available to do the service (made appointment ahead of time), so I rescheduled for the next day. When I got there the employee doing my service advised that the treatment doesn't really work till 3 complete treatments and even at that it may still not work. I don't think they should offer 1 service if the 1 service is ineffective, so I was "forced" to buy two additional microneedling services. After my first session I was told I was going to be charged for numbing (which was in the fine print of the coupon) but was also told I needed to place a product that only sell there as an after treatment. I bought the product for $100 and after the fact broke out in hives and discontinued use after 3 days. Made my additional service a month later after visiting my regular person I get facials, peels and Microdermabrasion with and she advised me that this spa was known for their bad practices and to be careful with upgrades that they offer. People who formerly work for Spa black have let it been known that the employees that are doing procedures are not licensed. Please beware. Went to my second session with a full face of make up and let the employee know that I needed to be cleansed. She let me know that she would cleanse me prior to the treatment. She cleansed me with her hands as opposed to a brush and then used a dry cloth to remove dirty soap. Anyone who cleans their face daily knows that to remove make up you need a more thorough routine than that. After treatment I scheduled last and final treatment. I returned home and immediately cleansed my face and toned to remove excess make up. I will have my final treatment and will not be returning for additional services. The saying you get what you pay for rings true here. I wanted to love this place and get laser hair removal but I will be looking elsewhere for this service. I made an appointment about a week in advance and drove in 15 minutes before as expected to fill out paperwork, only for the staff to inform me that I had no appointment in their system and they were actually closing soon after I walked in which was way earlier than the hours were known to be on that day.
