I am a 41 year old female who has had the desire to have a tummy tuck performed for many years. Unfortunately, during my pregnancy I gained a ton of weight and stretched out like the pillsbury doughboy, after only one child. I finally lost the pregnancy weight after many attempts with the aspiration of reducing the spare tire. Much to my dismay the sagging skin only drooped more after the weight loss which saddened me. It saddened me to such an extreme, that I was not able to practice yoga anymore since I saw the saggy "cow" belly every time I did moves such as the downward dog. This lead me to being self conscious and depressed for weeks afterwards which did not provide the health benefits that any exercise is suppose to do. After 20 years of dreaming of the day that I would have tight abs and a flat abdominal area, my wishes became reality.
I met with Dr. Barone where I was very impressed with her dedication to even the most minor of details. I knew at that moment that I would be in great hands before, during, and after my surgery. I was a bit nervous the day of my abdominoplasty, which is common for me to freak out at the last minute, but the staff was very comforting with their support and kindness. I knew it would be a few weeks of discomfort still it would be worth it. Dr. Barone came in to see me before the surgery and kept assuring me that she would do a fabulous job with phenomenal results afterward. As I was being wheeled into the surgery room I kissed my partner with high hopes of removing my extra skin and stretch marks for ever.
I finally came around after the anesthesia wore off. However, I must say the after effects of the medicine and the stretching of my upper torso skin down for my new abdomen was a shock. I was happy when the drugs were given to ease my pain since the trauma was extreme. The care given by her staff made me feel very special as well as trusting of their knowledge in my recovery.
The following day I received an abdominal garment that would be my new friend for many months. I visited with Dr. Barone once or twice a week to check on the progress of the sutures that were from hip to hip. As the weeks passed I was able to stand taller where I could see the great improvement of my abdominal area. I was very please with the appearance I saw in the mirror which was a new belly button [cute as a button], a flat abdominal area, and sexy hips [she liposuctioned those at time of surgery]. Dr. Barone answered any and all of my questions to the best of her knowledge, which was quite extensive after many years of in her practice.
I am still under the healing phase since I will be wearing the newscar+ gel on my surgical site for many months to minimize scarring. I must add that she saved me money on my prescriptions as well as a discount for the gel strips. I am completely convinced that she is the "BEST" in her profession and I plan to see her for my future surgery which is a Breast Augmentation. I love her personality so much that I wonder if she will consider adding me to the family tree, as her sister from another mister. Only a bit of humor in case she is reading this and needs a joke to make her smile.
Dr. Barone did make due on her promise to give me a spectacular abdomen with less stretch marks, tighter abs, a smaller waist, and a brand new belly button. I now know what a difference this procedure has made in my life. I am walking taller with confidence in myself while realizing that when others view me its due to my sexy new body. I would do it a hundred times over since the positives outweigh the negatives. I embrace all of my fellow sisters out in the world who are contemplating having this procedure. Contemplate no more and call the person with the highest degree of competence as well as inspiration, Dr. Barone. Thanks to her I am free to be the me that has been hiding underneath a flabby abdomen, the athlete who loves to walk up 10 flights of stairs to prove I can do it. Maybe I can convince my daughter to name her first born after Dr. Barone. Constance has a nice ring to it and I know there is strength, dignity and honest dedication behind it. Many blessings to her and her staff.
