Called this location around 5 PM to ask them if they can do a removal of gel X nails. I was told…read morethat they could. I made it to the location although they were very nice, the person they had remove my nails was not nice when it came to actually removing them. While they did cut the nails down (which I didn't mind), and they did soak the gel polish off, (which was normal), when he used the e-file, there were several times when he was filing that it started to burn, which means either he's filing my actual nail plate down too low or it's too hot. Imagine my surprise when I get back to my hotel, my nail beds are red and pink. I cannot put them under any sort of water or soap. Everything hurts! I got my nails removed to get them redone and now I can't get them redone because my nail beds are too thin. They are so painful and I'm so angry! I'm considering some sort of legal action!

I requested a solid baby pink dip powder, but the finish looked grainy under the top coat. At first, I wondered if it was meant to be sparkly. Since this was my first dip powder manicure, I asked if this was normal and was told it was. Afterward, I checked with friends and online; it turns out it's not. I've attached photos for reference. I considered returning to get it fixed, but found the staff dismissive and unfriendly. Maybe it was just an off day because they were busy, but I wanted to share my experience honestly with others.

This is still not over somehow. The salon owner has contacted me stating she is pursuing legal…read moreaction because she is not represented by the independent contractors that rent the chairs. Michelle texted me this long thing saying I was blackmailing her (don't think she understands what blackmail is) and the cops have contacted us, I don't even know what the charge could possibly be, unless they have created a new law I didn't know about before. Just stating that I stand by my experience of this salon having creepy vibes and that the hairdresser showed up late and tried to take as much of my money as possible and then tried to get it back when I got it refunded correctly the first time. Lol. Please refund me for the haircut and I'll take this down, I'll say a prayer in Jolie's name, anything, don't care. please just release me from this loop. I want to forget I ever went here. -- One more update as the salon hs threatened us with legal action because of a yelp review... I am happy to amend this review if I felt like the salon wanted to refund me for the charges I did not consent to. But really threatening legal action over a bad yelp review seems a bit extreme to me. I really am pursuing a partial refund for services I was charged for unknowingly and the tip. When I asked for a refund on those charges she offered to give me a bottle of shampoo. I am not even requesting a full refund. I feel that is more than fair and the stress that this has caused is just crazy. Again, I am happy to take it all down if we could just get the refund and then i will never come back and bother anyone again. But please refund me for the things I did not ask for, hair shimmer, balayage when it was really highlights, the additional add ins, and the tip. Leaving 200 for the hairdresser. Please I'd like this to be over. I will just delete the whole thing I don't even care. I still like the color. - Just updating because dealing with getting the charges reversed for the services I didn't request has been hell.... the bangs are looking good since I had another girl cut them. Color has held up alright. I'd go to a girl besides Michelle if I went back here, but seems kinda sketchy they can just add on hundreds of dollars without asking. I appreciate the owner reaching out but what would really help would be asking Michelle to inform clients ahead of time when adding in services and products and also to arrive on time

(He's the first person I met when visiting Rochester almost six years ago. He's come full circle coming back to this area. He's an excellent stylist and colorist. This place is lovely, the color scheme is shades of gray and it's kind of sleek. I got a tour and saw the treatment rooms for facials and massage (the massage therapist I hear works at Strong as a medical massage therapist so she knows her stuff) the facialist has been doing her trade for about 30 years so she knows her stuff. You make an appointment so she can determine what is needed to give you your very best facial. I think this is an excellent idea as most people when the come for a facial of course fill out a form but you really don't go over things until you are on the table so to speak. Due to Covid you will be asked to fill out a simple form and your temperature taken. Everything is disinfected including the chair and sink where your hair is washed. You can get manicures and pedicures. Also from what I read they do eye brows, waxing an spray tanning. It's a great little place with a lovely staff. You are warmly greeted and even though it's different with Covid it's still a pleasant experience. I need to try a facial. Prices are fair.. any questions contact them they are very helpful. Plenty of parking.

I stood at the front desk for 5 minutes ... not a single stylist said anything to greet me. They all saw me and said nothing. They saw me and didn't say a thing. If this place doesn't take walk-ins, they need a sign that says so. If they DO take walk-ins, then their customer service absolutely sucks. No matter what kind of business it is, a greeting of every customer walking through that door is normal. 15 minutes of time wasted just sitting there.
